- Today we are changing and upgrading the in cabin air filter in our 2008 Nissan Frontier. I chose to install K n N filters part number VF1001. Very easy process and the air flow increased substantially with the K n N filter swap over the regular paper filters.
So follow along as we change and upgrade the cabin filters..

Others I've seen had air flow arrows. At least you looked for them.
Thumbs up.
Yes I didn’t see any directional flow arrows. The filters have been working perfectly so far. Thanks for watching
Thank you for the video. I will be ordering k&n filters for my truck.
Thanks for watching
It’s all about what tradeoffs you’re willing to make. I bought the Bosch HEPA filters. They’re great air-quality wise, and you can actually feel the difference (e.g., in the crispness of the air and lack of odor). But I just wasn’t getting the airflow I wanted, and it took longer than usual to go from hot to cold and back. So, I took those out and just put in super basic air filters. Extremely strong air flow and it goes quick from hot to cold and back. Much happier!
I’m very happy with these filters. I should remove them and see how dirty they have gotten…
@@DIYWilly I’ll give ‘em a try based on your recommendation!
Thumbs up...I will check back in 999,000 miles!
😄
Thank you for the video
Your very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Great video friend! My truck makes a weird noise I have to record but it sounds like it's behind there somewhere. I think it's a vacuum noise.
Better check out that noise. Probably something easy to fix.
After putting new filters in does it make air blow colder air out
Hello, Not necessarily colder but will allow more volume of air to pass with clean filters. So yes if your filters are dirty that it would flow better with new filters. The filters don’t affect how cold the air is. The temperature would be based on the condition of the entire system. I would recommend a technician to test your system if the air is not cold. Thanks for watching!!
Skipped over most difficult part of install
What was that putting the filters back in?
@@DIYWilly yessir the second one...it is damn near impossible for me..I was desperately looking for a tip
My apologies I hoped the video would help people the DIYer to be able to save the $$$.
