      Hello, That was the case with this truck. I don’t know what’s happening with your truck. I have another question, do I need to install a Titan sway bar for freeway driving on my Titan swapped frontier?

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 5 дней назад

      No I don’t use a sway bar on either vehicle. The upgraded shocks take care of that. You have slight body role but it’s not bad. Actually I don’t think it fits but you could possibly install a Titan Sway bar if you think it’s needed. But that also limits the suspension travel. Try it without it first I would say.

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 6 дней назад

      Hello, I usually just clean the engine when I wash the vehicle. The mild car wash will not hurt anything if you’re careful. Try and cover the alternator and battery as much as possible. They will still get water around them. Using a soft wash mitt just run over everything and rinse it down. If you can blow it down when done but if not it’s ok. let the engine warm up or take it for a drive. When it’s all dry I like to spray tire dressing around the engine bay. No need to wipe it down. It will look like new again. I’m sure there are other ways to do this but this works for me! Thanks for watching!! Be safe and have fun with that truck!

      Believe it or not I only use a GoPro and its mic. I try to talk loud as much as possible. I have a different wireless set up that can be clipped on and the receiver plugs in to the camera but I don’t like to use it. I use Blackmagic Davinci Resolve editing software and it has a voice isolation setting in the studio version. It can really clean it up when editing. The bottle cost more than the weld machine’ accessories and the cart. Mrs. Willy wasn’t too happy.. Anyway I hope I have enough patience to learn. Here is what I don't understand. My code that I was getting was P0303. So I changed the coil and the spark plug for cylinder number 3. Ok P0303 went away, but then immediately the engine light read P0300! I am frustrated. I did go on and replace all of the rest of the coils and plugs. I used iridium plugs and hitachi coils.

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 11 дней назад

      Hello Sapphire, The P0300 codes can be a hard code to deal with. Changing the plugs and coils was a good idea. How did you clear the codes? The fact that you still have a 300 code could be that the system needs a drive cycle of 60+miles. There could also be other things causing your code. There might be a failing fuel injector or damaged injector harness. The could also be internal damage to a valve or other parts. A leak down test or compression test would help diagnose this. You could also try cleaning your throttle body to remove dirt and debris. Fuel pressure can also cause misfire codes. There are so many things that could cause the problem and it’s frustrating to test everything. I would just try the drive cycle first if the engine is running good. Thanks for watching!!

    • @sapphirejan2040
      @sapphirejan2040 11 дней назад

    • @sapphirejan2040
      @sapphirejan2040 11 дней назад

      @@DIYWilly the only code it had initially was P0303. After I replaced all the spark plugs and coils, P0303 went away but it changed to P0300. P0300 is the only code I'm getting. • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 11 дней назад

      It’s really hard to help diagnose a problem when you can physically touch the vehicle. Im basically guessing or throwing ideas out there. A bad cat can also cause similar problems. You seam to be mechanically inclined, so try removing the upstream O2 sensor and see if the engine runs better. That’s an easy way to check the cats. If no change then try the downstream sensor. This would help to focus your troubleshooting by eliminating the cats or finding the problem. Usually the problems have their own codes but sometimes the computer will see a different problem first. If that makes any sense. Also don’t rule out the cam sensors. I’ve had sensors go bad in a year or two.

    After putting new filters in does it make air blow colder air out

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 11 дней назад

      Hello, Not necessarily colder but will allow more volume of air to pass with clean filters. So yes if your filters are dirty that it would flow better with new filters. The filters don’t affect how cold the air is. The temperature would be based on the condition of the entire system. I would recommend a technician to test your system if the air is not cold. Thanks for watching!!

  • @alexlacroix9515
    @alexlacroix9515 13 дней назад

    That’s incorrect the more efficient your engine is the more tourqe you will make. There is nothing efficient at your top horse power rev. There is a big difference between efficiency and the max amount of fire these hot air pumps can move. It takes more fuel being burnt to allow more air though the engine. An engine that is noticeably more efficient will leave your ass out of the corner.

    Good stuff Willy! I like your new drill press. I wouldn't sweat the press in chuck, I bought a floor model a few years ago and it had the same press in style chuck. I was kinda miffed at the time because it was advertised with an R2 taper, and I was thinking "oh boy! I can stick a boring bar on there!" Nope, but it still works fine for drilling as it is. I do occasionally chuck up an end mill every now and then. 🤣

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 13 дней назад

      I hope to get some good use out of it. It’s basically the same as my old one and I expect the same reliability from it. I was thinking to take the old one apart and see where the problem is. I think the motor just got tired. Maybe I can buy new brushes in it and sell it or keep it for back up.

    Nice review Willy. Im a little leery of that press on chuck though. A good test would be using a 1/2" bit and drill into some steel to see if that chuck will stay put. I still have a tall floor drill press my parents bought in the 70's from sears, i inherited it and still use it but i hear some bearing noise in it now, the new ones cost twice as much now, Like $300 ahh. Good tuesday tool review👍

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 14 дней назад

      Hello Lou-eye, I also had some concerns about the chuck. My old press lasted about 17 years and never had a problem with the chuck. I will be drilling several 12mm holes in 3/16 steel so we will put the drill press to the test. Thanks for watching!!

      Thanks I appreciate it, should bolt up on a 3.5 Briggs as well I think. I’ve been building 3.5hps and trying to make some power with them. I made a custom manifold for mine and don’t want to spend the time to make one for my brothers 3.5 so that manifold looks like it will work. On the carb side is it the same bolt pattern for a vm22 carb?

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 14 дней назад

      EC carburetors have a better manifold. I use their manifold in place of this one. www.eccarburetors.com/vm20-slide-flathead-intake-manifold Take a look at this one..

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly 19 дней назад

      Hello maxmason, It’s hard for me to diagnose your problems just from what you described. Just because you cleaned the carb doesn’t mean it’s right. Is the float adjusted correctly? Are the gaskets still good or could they be damaged. Could be fuel delivery. Are the valves adjusted correctly. How old is the engine? Might need a rebuild. That’s all I can offer without seeing and hearing it. Good luck man! Thanks for watching!!!
