      It’s been a great truck. And as usual when you play and push parts to their limits, you’re sure to find their weak points. These are stock Nissan Titan arms and as you see they cracked at a stress point. We’re headed for spring now. Maybe with better weather you can work on your projects more. Thanks for watching!!

      Hi Willy need your help if you know how to fix this..
      My 2 outlet power on the dash board of my 2015 Frontier pro4x don’t work… fuse is ok but there is no power on them .. only on the one inside the console.. I heard they have a relay? Do you know where is located?
      Thanks for your help
      Ps. Great videos…learning a lot from you!

      Hello Richard, There is 2 fuse boxes on the vehicle one under the dash and one in the engine compartment. The additional fuses and relays are located in the engine compartment on the passenger side behind the battery. I hope this helps you. Thanks for watching!!!

      Oh man that eye… Still black.. I was trying to loosen the 32mm axle bolt with my breaker bar and it slipped. Hit me smack in the left eye… OUCH! Thanks for watching!!

      Yep took a 24” breaker bar to the eye.. Wow it happened so fast. Been a while since I had a shiner like that..😂 Oh man sucks about the head gasket. You going to change it?

      @@DIYWilly you’re gonna have to start wearing a crash helmet🤣 we were thinking about rebuilding it and using it as a desert car but I have too many projects. I’m working on a 1930 model a right now. We bought a used jeep to replace it. I’m going through that right now. If you know anybody looking for a good project car, the xterra is in great shape it just has a blown head gasket. It took a dump just after we came up the grade and was able to pull over at Jacumba.

      You have a model A? Not going to share the build on the Tube? I wanna buy a model Y but that’s a different kinda car I guess. Mrs Willy says sell what I have first before buying more projects. Darn!!

      @@DIYWilly I would like to share on the tube but I’m taking to long to get things done. It’s hard to find people with experience to help. I have everything I need to put it together. It’s like somethings I’m not sure how to do like wire tying the bolts that go into the fly wheel. And torque specs are hard to find. I lost all the footage of putting the new tires on and powder coating the rims. Do you know how those projects go!

    Why didn’t you install a set of cst spindles?

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly  Месяц назад +2

      This truck is 4 wheel drive and cannot use CST spindles. The CST spindles are 2 wheel drive only like the other truck.

  • @dahatchery
    @dahatchery Месяц назад +1

    Hey Willy, so I’m in a he process of buying all the necessary Titan swap stuff. I bought a set of CST spindles, I’m wondering what I should do out on the back end. I have both a 2” block kit and a 3” block kit for the back, I’m not sure what would the best option for a shock in the rear. I think I’ll also buy a 3-4% shim so to reduce the stress on my drive axles. I own a dessert runner that comes with a limited slip rear end.

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly  Месяц назад +2

      The 1.5 add a leaf and the 2” block is a great combo for the rear. Unfortunately I don’t remember which shock we have on the back. Been awhile since the install. Need to make sure it’s a longer shock. You will also need to adjust the speed sensor wires and brake lines for the added height and travel. Did you get the extended front brake lines?

    • @dahatchery
      @dahatchery Месяц назад +1

      @@DIYWilly The extended front brake lines are in the mix from a video from a video I watched the guy said yo get an at least 14” extension. No prob.

      @@dahatcheryjust do a add a leaf and shackles way better than blocks.

    • @dahatchery
      @dahatchery Месяц назад +1

      @@thedude828-ed2nn ok could you explain what is the benefit over blocks?

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly  Месяц назад +1

      I can help with that. The shackle is longer giving you a lift in the back. The longer shackle will keep you axle mounted directly at the spring helping to control axle wrap. When you add a block it allows leverage to the axle to increase axle wrap. The addition of the add-a-leaf stiffens the pack helping to control axle wrap while achieving lift and cargo capacity. You can go either way honestly because you’re not going up too much.
      I’ve used both types of lift on the springs. On my Samurai I use longer shackles with spring over set up.
      I prefer spring lifts but a custom spring pack can get expensive.

    Hi Willy, just another question. Will Tacoma struts work on my 2016/2007 frontiers?

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly  2 месяца назад +2

      No the Tacoma strut is short. The Tundra strut is longer. With the Titan swap lower control arm will move the shock/strut lower mount out because the arm is longer. So the longer Tundra shock works very well.

    • @DIYWilly
      @DIYWilly  2 месяца назад +1

      @@dahatcherysorry are you asking if the Tacoma struts fit the stock Frontier arms? They might I’ve never tried them but you would still have to change the top hat due to Toyota’s bolt pattern is different.
