I just ordered one 🤘🏼 Thanks for the video, now I’m super jacked to install it on my 22 fronty. Just added an air intake a few weeks ago and it got throatier after that. Now it’ll really growl
Awesome vid never heard of it till I ran into your video I have a 2011 Frontier you got me all excited about it I also love doing stuff to my truck thanks a mill👍
Im glad that it wasnt my imagination or something wrong with my frontier. talking about the delay with the Pedal. How is it now after 3 years? Just by watching the video i could tell how it change and how you had to relearn how to press the pedal. I just got a frontier and that delay is a bit weird i used to drive very heavy footed but since its a new car to me im trying to baby it and the delay has messed with me. Nice work on all you videos
@@DIYWilly I may pick one up. i just changed the Differential Breather today. i have some rust on the bottom too n by the back under the window above the bed i should take care of. its a 2016. Also u have any recommendation on mud flaps? i went into a deep hole n one side of the trucks flaps took a beatings. one broke off n the under one when pushed up made a dent in the body. that sucked, thought someone kicked my car. didnt even know it happened at the time. but the dent isnt even really noticeable. not sure if i should try n fix that cause could crack the paint if i pop it back out then id have to repaint it.
That’s exactly what I ran into with my new 2023 pro x. I’ve been scouring Internet and RUclips to figure out what’s wrong. Turns out I just need to step on it! I’m also using the manual mode some, and finding everything’s good. Love the look of the truck, and the leather and Fender sound.
@@pro-71984 it's worth the 300 if you like quick pulls but from what I have gathered about my '08 the frontiers have a decent amount of get up and go as is.
I just checked out the reviews on the website and they're off the charts ! Have seen any improvements on the eco settings when trying to drive slower lol
Nothing like souping up an already elite Frontier eh? Got the 2020 Pro4X, Crew Cab, 5' bed, decals, 310hp 281 lb ft of torque, a sweet 9 speed automatic, future Classic!!! If I install the Pedal Commander I might volunteer it to replace the Mars Rover! It already can climb everything, and plenty of power on the highway. There are many others out there like it, but this one is mine. What a great ride. Nice video BTW, the exhileration you experienced by the result you got was like the payoff one gets after a roller coaster ride. Yep, want some of that!
Yes but I needed to have clear view of the pedal to help show and explain how to connect it. Just wish I would have had more light for the video. What do you think of the pedal commander? Did it meet your expectations? Thanks for watching!
@@DIYWilly Yes it did but the problem is i run 35's now and i am on a 6 speed manual i am looking to get my gear ratio changed it still hauls ass but the gears need to be changed to shorter one's like 4.10's
Yes 4.10’s would be a good idea or will be hard on the clutch and tranny. I have friend with a 2wheel drive who is planning on 35’s soon and I recommended the gear swap also. He is only 4 cylinder so he will definitely feel those tires. I wish he would stick with 33 but he won’t listen. His truck is Titan Swapped and I’ll have it on the channel soon. Enjoy that truck and thanks for watching.
Hey DY, did you clean your throttle body and put a K&N air cleaner on your truck and disconnect battery before install, just curious. I just ordered one for me 2017 Nissan Frontier 4.0 a couple of days ago because of your video. 😎 good job.
I did disconnect the the battery for the work with the throttle body. It’s a good idea to gently clean it while it’s off. Just be careful not to force the butterfly. But for the intake and pedal commander I did not disconnect the battery. Hope this helps… Thanks for watching!
I was wondering if it was a scam product. Nice to see and hear your thoughts on how it really works! I have a truck about the same year and looking for something like this to make it feel like a new truck again lol.
It’s definitely not a snake oil product. It does make a noticeable difference. With the price of gas lately it’s been turned off. But You will feel the difference right away. Thanks for watching!

Yes the truck has all that plus a cat back exhaust. But no tune due to California strict laws. The truck is plenty fast enough with mods as mentioned especially the Pedal Commander. Thanks for watching.
Hello, do you think the shift points were changed? I hate how the torque converter locks up so quick on the Frontiers. I am hoping to find something that will let it shift at a higher rpm (or MPH).
No I don’t believe the shift points were changed. This mod effects reaction time between the gas pedal and the throttle body. Eliminating the factory installed delays. With the engine responding fast it could possibly change the feel of the converter lock up your complaining about. Hope this helps answer your question and thanks for watching.
Hello Mark, No we never checked for mileage. It’s hard to keep the foot out of it. The engines sounds so good with the mods I’ve done. The trucks also not driven everyday so would be hard to figure out. Thanks for watching!!
Hard to figure out? Run out of gas…Fill it up with gas….divide miles when empty again by gallons of gas you put in and voila! I consistently get 17mpg in my 15 4.0
Yes has held up great. It was a good simple modification to the truck. I had concerns though about malfuctions and the throttle sticking side open. All is good so far. Thanks for the comment and for watching. More videos coming on the Frontier.
I have to say I so want to get the Pelled commander. I know you have had it for a while is it still worth it? I know the price of it is a little higher then wehen you bought it but is it truely worth it? Can you do a upday on a few of your installs?
Yes I still have it but honestly with gas prices are right I don’t use it much. There a big improvement on throttle response when it is used. Thanks for watching!!
