Outstanding presentation as always (and please ignore the negativity) -- yours is a much needed voice in the sartorial community. This is one of my favorite channels by far.
It continues to amaze me how some women seem to settle for guys who are almost troglodytes when it comes to conversational skills, grooming and basic etiquette. Oh well.
The problem with channels like this is it all boils down to 2 things: 1. How can I make people perceive me to be something I'm not 2. How can I get girls to find me attractive? Neither of these are what being a gentleman is about. If anything, it's the opposite. Being a gentlemen isn't about how you dress and act to attract women, it's about treating everyone with respect regardless of their views or beliefs, especially when they contradict yours. It's about helping people in even the smallest of ways without asking for or expecting gratitude. It's about personal improvement and development for more than just looks and attractiveness and clothing. If anybody wants to see the epitome of a true modern gentleman, I advise you to research a detailed history of Rory Steward, and read his books Prince or the Marshes and Politics on the Edge.
22:35 Crazy enough to strive for greatness ? Of course I am. Now then Why aren't you crazy enough to strive for excellence? One of many A sly remark for you all, if you have something of equal measure and high wit, please reply.
He actually does pretty well. He speaks slowly, distinctly, deliberately, so that it mitigates the difficulty of speaking English as a second language.
It is much more about how you carry yourself than what you wear. Look at Connery. In the Bond movies he cycles through hundreds of outfits - but he really *owns* whatever he is wearing at the time. If you are a plumber you are already ahead of the pack - you have a physical job that requires a high competence level and high earning potential.
My argument against that point however is that we the audience highly respect and enjoy the attitude of these characters. This is no different than performing an analysis of a fictional character in a classic novel or play. The reason the author writes the characters that way is because the author knows that these character traits are highly regarded as attractive and relevant for a classical gentleman

@ that’s the “I can fix him” effect.
@@jeffhreid Yeah, most likely. It probably also represents the triumph of hope over experience.

Excellent video. Thank you for your observations. This is an important subject for a modern gentleman.
Very well done, Mr. Gunn. Keep up the good work.

Love this content. But you should work on your pronunciation of English as it’s very hard to follow

Get a good fit suit first
How should I dress more formally when I’m a plumber with a uniform? Usually if I go anywhere it is directly after work.

Man, if I grow up I don’t want to be like you
Than stay as harsh as you are, i'm sure you'll be doing fine
Ummm. . . those aren't real conversations. A writer wrote them; actors "acted" the part.
I wanted to say the same thing. Those are actors. Whether they have charisma or not, the reaction of the lady will still be the same.
