No doubt. I could have used another season or two of the series.

Re: Oakley , I am thoroughly convinced that the billboard represents a few really powerful themes. 1. Breaking Bad- Oakley went from earnest prosecutor to defense atty after Saul went down. I am convinced Oakley was sick of being a govt patsy and wanted something bigger and thinks that now that Saul is gone that he can step in and fill the void.
2. I think the overall message of the entire series was that no matter how much you do, no matter how many people you get rid of etc. There will ALWAYS be more waiting in the wings to take their position and fill the void. First it was the cartel, then Gus, then Walt, then the white supremacists etc. There is always someone waiting to take the reigns and there is no winning. Ever. Oakley represents that in regards to Saul, Saul's gone, Oakley takes his place... the wheel keeps on spinnin'
From the ashes of HHM, arose Saul Goodman and associates. From the ashes of Saul Goodman and associates arose William Oakley.
"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.”
"Guys like you think you never have to play straight with people... The wheel is gonna turn"
That is such an interesting and original observation
@@TheEnst1 Chop the head off a hydra and three more pop up in it's place.
I had the same thought! Especially with how surprised he was that Oakley is now a defense attorney. However, you provided layers to it that I never thought of, and I really appreciate it. A similar connection is how Saul took over the vet's criminal business.

I still think the best part of episode 11 is when Walt and Jesse had Saul kneeling infront of his grave and Saul yelled "Nooooo please don't breaking bad me!!" I still got the chills.
I like how in BB Saul shouted out Don Lalo and Dan Eladios name when they had him on his knees and this was years before the characters ever came to be. It's almost like Gilligan planned it 15 years ago
It’s cool we got to see Francesca again, though since it looks like we’ll see Walt and Jesse again, we may see or hear her voice in the next episode or so. I always enjoy these breakdowns, so thank you again and keep up the great work man!
What, has it been confirmed that Walt and Jesse will appear again? I was under the impression that Cranston and Paul only did the one episode.
"Breaking Bad", there's one more masterpiece similarity -
Nov 12, 1960 = Jimmy's B'day
Nov 12, 2010 = Jimmy's 50th B'day and he decides to Break Bad
Just like Walt decided on his 50th B'day.

The call to Francesca looks like it's at the same market that Jesse sold meth to buy gas. And that Hank used the ATM footage to find the Winnebago.
A couple of days ago I saw a picture of Bill Burr on the IMDB page for episode 612, though it's not there anymore. The picture was in black and white and looked like a scene from the Gene timeline, but IMDB has been misdirecting about future episodes. Either it was an accidental reveal that was taken down, or intentional misdirection. We'll find out Monday night.
I read that that was a picture of Bill in another show/movie and someone just photoshopped it black and white
IMBD is predictably incorrect.
Great video Kiwi! But we still don't know who Saul is specifically talking about when he hands Francesca a card and he says, "Tell 'em Jimmy sent ya."

I was wondering if that was the same gas station in BB. Great video.
I was thinking "why didn' t Saul just say he'll call on this date etc to Francesca instead of making it so open ended and drive the fandom crazy for 4 years?" Then I realized that if Saul said it would be him, Francesca may have blabbed to cops or maybe wouldn't even go get the phone. Smart on Saul's part.
I'm surprised he found two working payphones and that one of them takes incoming calls.
Give it a year and between the weather and vandals, those phones will not work in any capacity.
@@patwaters3486 Yep. especially next to an abandoned gas station. I taught those bullet holes were a nice touch at 9:00.
@@patwaters3486 For real! I thought that was always a pretty big plot hole/ convenience. Even in 2005-2011
He had clearly already told her it would be him calling… obviously he told her there would be money for her for answering the call. If she blabbed, she’s not getting that money. That gas station is in a scene from BB in like season 3 I think. That timeline is 2009, the phone call is in 2010. We don’t know how long the gas stations been closed down exactly, but the pay phones still working isn’t unrealistic at all.
I wonder if Francesca set a trap and told Saul that Kim asked about him, knowing the authorities were likely tapping Kim's phone as well
Not likely.
They can't know how important she is for him. For them she is just an Ex.
@@ags30mm yeah, an ex WIFE
I doubt Saul was dumb enough to say anything vital like his location or anything like that, but just having the phone call in a payphone booth probably wouldn't give the cops much to work with. It didn't do them any good when Walt called Skylar the final time.
Kim left before the events of bb went down. No one is looking for her. No one has her phone tapped
@@TheStinkusofYore Location, location, location
I think Carol Burnett's character is the outlier. She's gonna figure out who Saul is. Whether she turns him ... dunno but her character is more involved than we know. Just my take.
Think she might possibly see article on the news on at laptop and say that’s whose hanging with my Jeff and make a call. Fitting the irony of how a old person taking him down when he was conning old people in a way to get ahead in business in the beginning.
@@billslaven385 She is definitely suspicious of Gene and how convenient that Jeff got her a laptop.

Oh. My. God. - I couldn't wait for these last two episodes so I started rewatching Breaking Bad - just finished S1E1. Oh. My. God. I always considered it one of the great TV shows, but it's much better than I remembered. Jesus. That first episode is a masterpiece. That episode has so much pure concentrated storytelling and character development - it's was like Heisenberg blue but it didn't make my teeth rot.
The writers are so clever. They give us a sliver and we make a redwood tree out of it. We come up with 100 possibilities and they come up with the one we missed and the one we missed is the most obvious one of the bunch.
So my predictions are this simple and have been there right in front of us and not what we expected
I wonder if Francesca made the call from Kim up just to cheer him up. Never thinking that he actually knew where to find her.
Or to mock him because she's secretly in love with Jimmy and wanted to hurt him out of anger.
Got to love the shawshank redemption parallel with red/francesca finding the hidden money.
God no.
The phone call basically shows that the stories of Francesca, Huell, Kuby, and Jesse have been more or less wrapped up. All that remains is Saul and Kim.
Damn Kiwi you must be up night + day cranking these out 👏 thanx for doing that
He cranking on that baby blue, yo!
I fear the ending is not going to please those of us who wanted a Jimmy & Kim reunion 😭
This comment reminded me we still haven't seen that "leaked" blk/white scene of Kim that was talked about a while back.
Yep the creators have definitely handled everything waaaaaaay different from what we expected nacho did not use Ed the disappearer nor did Kim, the cabdriver was not a pi hired by Kim nor was he a cop, Kim did not end up getting caught up with the cartel. Like it was simple Kim just left Saul. We are also not going to get to see how Tuco gets Hector and how Tuco took over the bikers
@@laxlyfters8695 tuco didnt take over the bikers as the bikers arent a part of the game. they are simply bikers hanging out probably after buying some some from tuco
@@Cichyhub remember when Nacho mentioned to Don Eladio that he plans to open new territory. He plans to take over the bikers territory and split them up. This threw me in a misdirection that we would of seen Nacho carry out this plan and then the "this is not meth" scene would of been added with more depth as the presence of the bikers makes more sense.
@@Cichyhub this implies that the bikers are in the game.
This is one of the best scenes in the series they wrap up so many loose ends. It's nice to know what happened to alot of characters. It's so satisfying.
I could be making something out of nothing here but here we go..
Mike tells Jimmy about the bad choice road and how bad decisions could seem small, but it puts you on the road. Forward to Kim taking a pretty drastic U-turn as the camera pans out to her changing roads as she heads back to complete the Howard scheme. We all know how the Howard scheme unfolded.
Now in the beginning of this episode during the intro we see 2 things we’ve never seen before. Gene’s chair with his glass of alcohol in it, and the intersection in the snow by the spot he and the Jeff planned out the heist. I don’t really know what to make of those images but I thought it was important to note before going on to the rest.
Jimmy makes 2 faces of “daydreaming” in this episode, 1 when he’s gene while he’s driving away from the phone booth approaching the intersection mentioned above. And another when mike is informing him to stay away from Walter. What this means to me is that Jimmy is once again about to make a bad choice that will take him into a spiraling downturn of events like when he got involved with Walt. Even while he’s talking to mike Saul says “a guy with a mustache like that probably doesn’t make good decisions”, which he then has an uncanny resemblance to as gene.
Now the intersection i believe is important and shown in the intro for possibly this reason. When Jimmy arrives at the intersection, the very next scene we see him back at the phone booth. Indicating that he took a U-turn at that intersection (like Kim).
Thanks to anyone who actually read all this lol
Pretty cool connection with the mustache comment.
@@mattst.germain4023 thanks for reading :)
Interesting. Kudos!
I knew it had to be either Saul or Kim calling as I never saw any logical choices. My new question is whose the Lawyer Saul recommended to Francesca? That never quite gets answered. My only guess is that Oakley is her lawyer, but if Saul didn't know he switched sides that doesn't quite check out. I wonder if we'll find out in 612 or 613.
it doesnt really matter so it wont be asnwered
@@Cichyhub I agree that it probably won't be answered at this point, but why put it in if it doesn't matter? That's not really how the creators roll. People have theorized about it for years, so it's a little odd not to include it.
A different thing is that the "American Greed" Mockumentary of Jimmy lists Oakley as Deputy DA, whereas the show says he's now a defense attorney, so that's a small mistake that isn't that big of a deal to me.
Countless things have been put in that were never revealed. What Fring did in Santiago being the biggest one IMO.
@@mattst.germain4023 Yeah, but that's guessable. While we'll never know exactly what happened in Gus' past we know it relates to violence and it was either self-defense or revenge. His past has always been a mystery; that makes his character so interesting (one of many things). Whereas for Jimmy they made that moment stand out in the scene even more so than the phone. Watch that scene again and look at the pacing difference in those two moments. My only guess is that he gave Oakley's card which is why Francesca mentioned him, but even that doesn't make sense as Oakley wasn't doing PD work.
I wonder if Kim finally gave up the information about what happened to Howard and how Saul was pulled into to work with the cartel.
Nah. She played a major role in covering up his murder. Why would she confess to it now 6 years later?
My problem with this call is all the resistance...why was it such a big deal for her. Clearly she was expecting her payout so why would she be so fast to leave if it didn't happen on time. Point is she knew it meant money for herself. Makes no sense she was annoyed.
I hadn’t noticed the bullet holes around Francesca in the phone booth (odd enough, in itself) Maybe the bullet holes are the danger she kept being put in because of Saul and even Walter & Jesse. That might account for how resentful & bitter she sounds.
@@judywright4241 True but she was really adamant that if the call didn't come exactly at 3 she was leaving. They even have her strafing to turn the key in the ignition. Just can't help thinking this call scene was not the original plan being set up in Quite A Ride. Feels like a major pivot on the fly.
Stress worry tension and also secretly in love with Jimmy could be among the reasons?
I hope they do a laser tag location scene. Saul loved that place and having Danny cameo in it, a nerdy business
I was hoping Francesca would tell him Happy Birthday before she hung up
Would of been cool.
@@mattst.germain4023 most definitely
I think Saul will get caught and hire Bob Oakley as his attorney.
Perhaps
Seems like a pretty obvious foreshadowing. Plus they even went to trouble to create a Bob Oakley defense attorney website. He will make a return at some point in the next two episodes.
A bill Oakley spinoff would be great. I think he's hilarious...
Nope.
Good job
I strongly suspect that Marion and her new computer plays a role here(They didn't introduce that for nothing.). Marion may come across the "American Greed: James McGIll/Saul Goodman" expose on RUclips? That is a real thing that the BCS producers made and it would be a very interesting tie in to see Marion come across it and drop a dime on Gene thereafter. ruclips.net/video/C4yenXwx7ao/видео.html
@coyote g. Explain further your "no"? So much emphasis was put on Marion and her new laptop, that I cannot believe there's not more there. Any online news or homepage would very likely have links to SG's story. And the BCS creator's "American Greed" faux-program, done with astonishing accuracy and "realness" would be a perfect vehicle for Marion to discover the truth, while officially tying their own work there into BCS canon.
@coyote g. right i understood that you meant that. I was wondering why you thought not.
@coyote g. The Laptop actually Played a role
First video you’ve posted in a while where the “spoilers for el camino” actually applies
10:20, I don’t remember Francesca saying that Kim asked if Jimmy was “still alive.”
she did rewatch the scrne
@@justyn7 yep, just did and you are right.
Francesca's phone call now makes me think the opening house clearance scene was asset forfeiture as a result of the investigation into him. Perhaps there's been a court case and the judge ordered this as restitution or to cover costs. Where I live that would be called "proceeds of crime".
Also Bill Oakley's phone number is live and has a pre-recorded easter egg voicemail greeting, just like Gene's number from the Nippy flyer.
Well absolutely that’s an asset forfeiture relating to an investigation. Presumably shortly after he disappeared.
Good job! It was an amazing phone call. An easy way to deal with those secondary stories.
Banger per usual kiwi keep it up man
Yo hommie! Amazing job this year! If you start a new show I’m watching!
So how far into the gene timeline does this phone call take place? In other words, how much time has past since the season 4 cold open?
I think the phone call was a year after Saul skipped town.
Francesca getting her payment also reminds me of when Mike takes Jessie to pick up the dead drops in BB.
love the content, but you have to learn what the words reference and foreshadow mean.
And who is Orira? 😂
Just so happens the call would take place on Saul's 50th Birthday.
I liked the scene but I wished there goodbyes were more emotional having Francesca finally tell Saul how much she sacrificed and how Saul took down everyone with him and have Saul drop Saul for just 10 sec and apologize for what he did to her
You really think that was the end for her? I was expecting someone following her. Or someone blew her brains out
Oh come on! She didn't sacrifice anything! She was for the ride! Don't remember her quiting. She is doing fine being a landlord and squeezing Saul for money.
@@MultiEvil85 yeah she turned that way because we see at the beginning she was pushed to do so by Saul he did not care if she felt uncomfortable he expected her to lie and scheme as much as he did he litterly corrupted her.
I kind of agree with that to an extent. Sure, she was along for the ride because of the money, but he badgered her into doing a lot of shady things. Some type of comment would of been fitting. Her saying she regrets ever meeting him, or him apologizing etc.. I understand what you’re saying.
@@mattst.germain4023 yes she's not a child she knew what she was getting into but Saul filled her head with false promises and lies which is why she did make the whole prince and palace comment making out how this is not what she expect her life to turn out to be at this point she feels like Saul does not care and will never change.
great analysis!
I love that they gave a working website and phone number to Bill Oakley.
i love the bullet holes in the phone booth Francesca is talking in.
How many months pass between the 405 and 611 scenes? Saul has lost a lot of hair in the interim.
It's approximate 2 months after Walt dies and Jesse escapes
he had to fit his new identity
About 7 months
Stress does that to a person!
Saul had a combover before he ran away to Nebraska.
I see Oakley as a subtle way to inform that this sequence takes place after American Greed
5:44 wow I didn't know either Kim or Lalo were in Breaking Bad, I thought they were original BCS characters! :P
I like how they threw in the Breakin Bad references subtly and only on a few occasions, they also managed to make them feel so oddly satisfying to see or hear
Jesse and Walt did alot of destruction before they could be caught, Gene is not getting off easy, they'll want someone to take a punishment for everything. I'd be happy to see an ending that puts Gene in jail with him realising that Chuck should have just left him there instead of getting him off.
Puts Gene in jail with who?
Haha
It is the Danny. An EP stated they didn't have time to make the link before season 6 so that was the way of making the connection
Amazing video
Another question this scene answers (which I don't think has been answered before now) was whether or not the Gene scenes take place before Walter White comes out of hiding and shoots up Uncle Jack's gang, or after.
This is the only time we've had hard evidence and clear proof. Before this everyone just seemed adamant about when they thought it was, but couldn't really say why.
Walt is dead and Jesse is in Alaska. We'll see both of them again before the series is out (Bryan Cranston confirmed it) but we don't know in what context. Perhaps we see a modern Jesse after he returns for some reason.
@@mxbx307 Funny... I literally just found an article showing how the previous episode gave away the time... all those conversations Gene was having with the security guard about football were about real games, which nails down when those scenes are taking place to the month of October 2010.

I'm more interested in the diamonds that Gene is seen with in the band aid tin. Plus in the newest episode we hear Mike wants to hire Menard who's a jewelry fence and reliable guy. Maybe Gene sells them to this ex con or guy of Mike's.
Guys name is Lasky. Menard is a prison in Illinois.
Why did she leave her car so visible there?
All I gotta say is BCS has captured America's attention. It seems like a crime in itself for this Brilliant show to grind down to the death, figuratively or literally, of One [Jimmy/Saul/Gene/Viktor]. America needs a happy ending.

Don't forget the money before the fallout!
Saul treated Francesca like garbage for 6 years. 100K will not make up for that.
@@RenaldyCalixte No, he paid her well above average, he mentioned that in BB.

Most likely Kim tells Jimmy that its dangerous for him to call her and that they can't have any more contact as it could get them both in trouble. Probably see it from her side in the next episode.
Someone implied Kimmy got married in FL.
I thought it would be Kim; That they had an escape rendezvous situation.
Saul made Francesca so miserable that I wonder why she stayed working for him the second time. She didn’t seem overly concerned aboutcmoney.
Made? Bitch could leave whenever she please but stayed for the money
Francesca worked for the MVD and I think had been looking for other jobs for some time. I’ve worked at clerical government jobs and with people like Francesca. I think she just wanted a better job: less mind numbing and where she could be valued and be more a person. Instead she ended up with something worse. She gets more money but has to give up the things she likes about herself and that make her feel good about herself. I think she felt even more stuck than she did at the MVD...This is just my take on it, tho.
Huge stacks of cash. For doing next to nothing.
It was definitely about the 💰 money. Francesca might not have been greedy, but you don't easily quit what I am assuming was a high paying job even though you might not like it OR your boss. And I'm gonna say that Francesca was no fool & she had a lot of dirt on Saul. I bet she got paid VERY well.
Jimmy must have given her some serious cash for being 'amenable' to his schemes

If you call the number on Gene's flyer for Nippy it's a live number and you get a pre-recorded Easter Egg talking about Nippy, one of the things Gene says is that Nippy's birthday is Halloween. People also pointed out the football games that Gene and the security man talked about.
It's really not long after the end of the BrBa timeline, WW is dead and Jesse is in Alaska.

It’s interesting to know that this was how Saul considered (and mentioned to Francesca) him.
I was disappointed that Gene didn’t say “sorry” to Francesca. That could have gone a long way to humanizing Gene. But maybe that’s why the creators didn’t include some sort of small redemptive act by Gene to Francesca at least. He’s a monster.

i still think Marion is Kims Mother and Thats why Gene came up with the whole Nippy thing. To find out where Kim is at. the police showing up is another red herring if they were after saul the entire police force would be there not just one unit. it all comes down to Marion they wouldn't bring in a new character this late in the game if she wasn't a major part of the plot.
Way too old to be Kim’s mom. Aunt maybe, Jeff is Kim’s scumbag cousin who stole her dying grandmas pain pills? Highly doubtful. He came up with the Nippy thing to get Marion to engage with him after he covered the sidewalk with snow to get her scooter stuck. He wanted a reason to contact Jeff and put Jeff in a position where Gene had the upper hand. Not 100% sure how he found where he lived, and he must of staked out Marion for weeks to learn her routine to grocery store etc..
Ive just watched the very first episode again and i think it woykd be great if somehow the skateboarder twins and tuco were to make an appearance in the 2nd to last or the very last ep and maybe the kettlemans cos isnt those still stories that arent tied up as in maybe tuco will get out so we see him take over the salamanca business now lalo and nacho ate gone and dont we still have to see the kettlemaans again too . It woukd be a good bookend to the whole series in my opinion since they were the beggining of sauls journey
I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing more flashbacks, but I don’t see how that could add anything to the story at this point. I would like to know how Hector got out of the nursing home. (I’m presuming Tuco). With only 2 episodes left I doubt this would be something they touch on. I want to see more about what Kim did during the BB timeline.
@@mattst.germain4023 we will most definitely see Kim and I have a feeling Tuco will come in through the period between bcs and bb
@@iamrenvik1522 I fully agree we’ll see Kim. Tuco would be a stretch though.
Oh man, another downside when BCS was over will also be not watching your vids
I think its suspicious Walts name didnt come up in that conversation... even though he is "dead"
I heard his said "the dead maestro"
He called Walt “The Maestro” multiple times in BB. He didn’t have to say his name for us to know what he meant.
It's hard to imagine anything that requires less explanation, but okay.
So we dont know yet who was the lawyer card that Saul give to Francesca in that flashfoward scene ?? or we can assume that it was Bill Oakley
Jimmy didn’t find out Oakley was a defense attorney until this phone call, so no. Probably Davis and Main?
At that time he was still a DA
@@julianne089 Yeah it could be, but would Cliff Main defend someone that is involved in some way in this whole Heisenberg's case ? i mean, i dont see davis and main taking cases from "criminals"
@@mtlfd1 most large firms have lawyers that specialize in different areas of law. It depends on if they have a criminal defense attorney or division...
@@julianne089 I have a theory, maybeeeee just maybeeee Saul get a job opportunity for Kristy Esposito on Davis and Main, maybe she can feel and understand how saul was and she will be happy to help him in anyway
Classic Francesca! 😅
Francesca still killing it with that booty 😂
So where did the diamonds come from ?
That’s one of the biggest questions I want answered. They kind of gave us an idea as to how, but nothing specific.
I bet Kim had a baby
Its possible. Found out she was pregnant shortly after the Howard thing. Needed to get away from Saul to have a chance to raise the child without danger. Kim would vow to be a better example than her mom was to her. Maybe a desperate Jimmy goes to Florida to find her then sees her with a child. At that point he can’t bring himself to go up to her. He decides he can’t keep this life up and turns himself in. Several years later Kim comes to visit him in prison and brings her child. She reveals to Jimmy that it’s his child and explains to him that’s why she left. Maybe she even named him James. Maybe Howard or Charles. Doubtful, just spit balling.
Give it up bro your reaching…you haven’t been correct on ANY predictions so far
Basically none of us have. The writers have led us on a hike up the garden path big time, for starters literally nobody predicted _that_ particular outcome for Howard.
I love Badger and Skinny Pete.
Goodbye to Francesca’s boootay!
Bitter sarcastic entitled Francesca is in love with Jimmy, angry he chose Kim,and not taking her with himself upon the identity change. Mark my words, the satirical Prince proposal was a veiled reference to her love for Jimmy. The tail on Francesca could've been a decoy in case Jimmy had someone following her and she was cooperating?
I wonder why he got so mad when he called the Kim's place?
Divorce papers.
@@Notorious236 possible I guess. I would of thought they got divorced a long time ago. She’s probably furious with him for reaching out and has told him to stop multiple times. Probably told him to turn himself in and to leave her alone. He obviously read more into Francesca telling him Kim called, and was hurt by what she said. Crushed him emotionally even more and caused him to do the thing he enjoys most and is best at. Scams/cons etc.. it’s his defense mechanism to suppress facing who he really is.
