There’s actually a small detail you missed. During the scene in Saul’s mansion above the walk in closet full of clothes is a large coin shaped prop on the wall of president Kennedy facing left. This I assume is a reference to the season 1 finale episode Marco where both Jimmy and Marco pull the scam with the left facing Kennedy coin. This could potentially show that Jimmy still hasn’t forgotten about Marco and the scam with the Kennedy coin is probably one of the last memories he has of him.
He probably never forgot about marco, I mean he still has the pinky ring all the way until breaking bad so he most likely never actually forgot about him
It really is appropriate that once Kim left jimmy would really turn into Saul. I loved the acting in this episode. Actually made me shed some tears. Haven’t done that in awhile.
Yes it was brilliant. Kim leaving was so devastating - I think the writers pulled a great trick here - we've been waiting for Saul in BB so long and then they gave it to us off the back of that heartbreak, almost saying "Are you happy now?" Everyone here seems to be vibing on seeing Walt and Jesse but I think that's missing the point. The centre of BCS has always been Jimmy and Kim, I desperately want to see if Gene gets to see her again. It's such a sad series, as Breaking Bad was. I know it had cool shootouts and everything but ultimately, both series are hugely tragic. Top class in every category - simply one of the greatest TV series ever produced.
If Don Eladio wouldn't have mocked Hector, Gus might have put the brakes on his plan, but now that the entire Cartel has dismissed Hector as a madman he can torture him as much as he wants
I'm not so sure he mocked him, as much as he had a he said/he said situation, and Eladio had no proof Gus had done anything wrong, so he had to go with the "evidence" of Lalo's burned body and matching teeth. I think he suspected Gus (the "hate" comment) but Hector could give him no solid evidence. If he thought Hector was a madman, I don't think he would've given him control of the "southern" territory. I think Eladio was trying to do his best to keep both parties working for him with no bloodshed.
@@broadcasttttable He mocked him, he did the ding, ding thing. If he suspects Gus or not is up to the viewer but he probably believes Hector is making this up expecting to turn the cartel against Gus, which will not happen, but he understands the beef and still respects Hector enough to not do anything about it. But even without evidence, the threat of some kind of master plan would disturb Eladio enough to spout something at least a bit more inquisitive than the mere acknowledgement of his resentment.
Gene is just Jimmy being brought back to planet earth. He’s lived in guilt and has regained some of the conscience he had when we first met Jimmy McGill in 2002.
@@Okaydokie173 Saul is though. He lost his humanity. No compassion or empathy. Gene was forced to feel the emotions he’d buried years ago so he’s more human.
What an heartbreaking episode… When BCS started we all wanted to get to Breaking Bad and to see Saul. Now we just want to get back to Jimmy… Probably the best show of all time
@@dislikebomb6680 you must be the only one… everyone knows it’s downhill from here for pretty much every single character on the whole show. As we now know the fate of Jimmy and Kim, people wish that somehow this could’ve been avoided. If you watched the show solely to see the bb version of Saul then that’s a big L
The immediate flashforward shows that the breakup is what ruined jimmy:( not Kim’s fault-she’s right, they are bad for everyone around them-but this is so so sad😭
That made me cry, well that and Nacho's Dad in the scene with Mike. So sad, all this wreckage. All the damage. BCS is just as good if not better than BB.
What was interesting about Kim saying how bad they were for each other is that Jimmy tried to talk her out of going after Howard, told her that people were going get emotionally wrecked, and that she wouldn't be able to live with it afterwards, but she insisted, and he reluctantly agreed. If Kim had simply listened to Jimmy and not launched their vendetta against Howard, then none of the following events would have ever happened.
@@Durwood71 THIS!! I think thats what upset me the most, hopefully if we see Kim again in the gene timeline she will have learned accountability and how to keep “slippin kimmy” inside
Holy cow what an episode! Walt and/or Jesse are almost certainly showing up soon, I'd even say probably next week. And judging by everything wrapping up, I think it might be safe to say we'll get a full Gene episode
I do also think "Saul" has completely taken over. I think he has become the persona of Saul Goodman since we know it to be a coping mechanism and it makes sense considering everything that happened that he fully retreated into that character
@@poggerwhite *Slight, and Possible Spoilers for Next Episode* So as soon as I finished the newest episode I checked what the Synopsis for the next episode on my TV since it already has the next episode in scheduled recordings. Well I bring this up because when I checked it I saw that the Synopsis for next episode called "Nippy" states, "A new player gets in the game." This immediately makes me think the next episode is the introduction of Walt and Jesse. Edit: So the fact the car says 2005 kinda disproves my idea but we'll just have to wait and see.
@@limegreenhunk2452 I mean while he's at his house talking he mentions a client that masturbated in public, and in the first episode where he's introducted in BB he mistakes Badger for a guy that was arrested for public masturbation.
But chuck actually meant it, it's kind of a dark joke for him to say it before starting his day setting drug dealers and public masterbators loose on the world
The writing is so stellar. I wish I could just sit in the writers room and bask in the genius. Imagine both Howard and Salamanca were telling stories that no reasonable person would believe yet they both were true.
At times, the pace of this episode feels incredibly slow. But, by the end you realise it was Mike and Gus’ last ever scenes in the BBCS world. Mike’s shadow being the last you see of him. Hits hard.
@@OWmyDragonballz It could be though. The writers have brought them to where they need to get to. I trust them implicitly though, if they give us more that would be great but if they don't then I'm satisfied with where they've left it.
well, maybe you could be right, there might not be a reason to put them again in those last episodes, I guess we will focus on Saul and Walter-Jesse connection and on Gene timeline
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul have made me sad and emotional in the past, but even through all the death I've never felt so heartbroken. Out of all the scams and cartel on-goings and people getting hurt because of him, what turns Jimmy into Saul is not all the collateral, but his heart breaking over Kim. And it's all unceremonious with the instant cut into the future. I hope so hard that there is a reunion of some sort.
@@-andrei-paskhin1741 Actually, Rhea and Tony Dalton confirmed in a recent podcast that it was the Lalo apartment scene in 6x08 where Bob had his heart attack. Bob made a mistake when he said 6x09, but he was clinically dead so obviously his memory would be murky
Two points: 1. Mike and Nacho's dad both lost sons. Mike chose revenge, which led him to his predicament. Nacho's dad refused revenge, saying it is not justice and calling Mike out for being a criminal. His son is dead and he is not interested in revenge. That they were in the same situaton is another nail to Mike who must have empathized with another father who lost his son. This parallel of two fathers losing their sons I have not seen pointed out but I think is an important angle to consider. 2. There were a couple of trailers relating to Kim that have not played out in the episodes so far. This episode had one trailer that has played out here, with the sound but not the black and white picture, where Saul says everything will go back to normal, they will brush their teeth etc. But previously we had sound trailer with Kim giving some sort of court oath; also, the "happy ending after all" in sombre tone by Saul, and also one phone call. How does that fit into the future episodes? Does, say, Kim go to Nebraska and there becomes an attorney giving oath? It was speculated based on this trailer that she would go to trial even jail, but maybe she goes to her hometown, and there Kim and Saul meet in the Gene timeline - perhaps Gene saw Kim when he abruptly ended the call to Ed the disapearer last time. Just an idea, but in any case these trailers should play out and so it seems we will see more of Kim...
Nebraska, who is in Nebraska That was the line he used with Ed when he changed his identity to gene so Kim is not necessarily there, but the happy ending will be as I could picture is to make it up to Howard reputation, because that was the biggest crime they did as Jamie and Kim, and maybe getting justice to someone or some people who would be wronged in the last 4 episodes It’s a fairy expectation I know, but they promised a happy ending On the other hand please creators make a Gus backstory a new series
That's not *supposed to be* Saul's parking spot - it's a handicap spot. It's a great way to tell us about this character - there's plenty of parking there right in front of the place, and he still takes up the one accessible spot.....
I liked when he put the handicap parking tag on his mirror and said freedom of speech. Weird that so many people were in his office, but the parking lot was empty.
The scene with Howards wife Cheryl and Cliff Main was so full of everything that makes this series great. Jimmy comfortably and skillfully gave himself plausible deniability when answering Cheryl's questions. Kim however shockingly just makes up a story about Howards drug use as Jimmy painfully looks on which i got to ask....Who did this give closure to, and did Kim instantly regret the lie. It seemed to be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back with regard to Kim's guilt. Really well performed by all.
I think with Kim's late night office story, and then manipulating Cheryl with the "You see him everyday, you knew him better than anyone" and then Cliff not wanting to share what he saw in the locker room ... Kim actually buttoned up the idea of anyone investigating further Howard's legacy being ruin by his own addiction and suicide. Cliff and Cheryl won't investigate because they weren't proactive enough to see it and therefore blame themselves. It's the addict Kim sewing doubt and blame on everyone else steering the focus from herself.
it looked like there was no other option than to tell that lie. It gave closure to Cheryl and saved Jimmy. Right after that is when I think she made the decision that she felt she had to leave. That look / kiss in the parking garage looked like "I love you but have to say goodbye, I did all I could for you"
Kim rightly understood it was needed. Howard's wife was wavering. Afterall she knows Jimmy had been playing with Howard over the years, Howard just called out Jimmy at the hearing, Jimmy was the last to see Howard. His wife had plenty reason to further investigate. Kim saw this and quickly squashed it. Savagely or devilishly - however you want to categorize it.
@@daves9355 Mike was serious that this had to be wrapped up and not come back to anybody. That lie was also to protect Jimmy's safety from Mike & the Cartel.
I love the Cartel scene when Gus looks at Hector, you see the reflection from the fire in his glasses, showing his burning hate for the Salamancas. He still hates all of them, but the fire went away when he looked back at Don. To show that Hector is the main focus. Brilliant.
I always wondered why Saul had a worlds best lawyer mug! I knew if Kim was still practicing he would never think we was better than her even if it ended as bad as it did ! So good !
@@jherikomark Nope. He asked whether or not we were gonna be in the BB timeline from now on, and I think we will. Maybe we’ll see cold opens taking place between 609 and the time jump to Breaking Bad.
What about the promo from a month or so ago where we heard a soundclip of Kim speaking in front of a court? We haven't heard her speak that line yet. Will it be a flashback with her? Will she go back to being a lawyer and re-enter Jimmy's life?
@@WolfAndLamb3 I hoped that would be a cold open for this weeks episode, because it would fit in well w Howard’s memorial. Howard would be there next to Kim when she gets sworn in, similar to Jimmy and chuck
Kudos to this guy for finding a way to breakdown the episode. There seems to be a thousand or so RUclips channels trying to make some money off the show by literally just talking about the episode that everyone just saw. As if their opinion means anything when they’re just as uninformed as the rest of us. This was truly a different look at things and the only such video that I actually made it through. Good work.
let me get this straight!… you go around criticizing people who review/breakdown tv shows ? LIKE DOES YOUR OPINION MEAN ANYTHING? 😂💀are you self aware ?
People keep referring to Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul as "one of" the best TV-shows ever but quite frankly I can't recall any TV-show as good as these two.
There hasn’t been, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are perfect from beginning to end, they are the greatest shows that ever existed, really happy I got to experience these shows while they were coming out, I can’t wait to see how BCS wraps
Skyler White works as a part time dispatcher at an ABQ Cab company ( Remember Ed telling Walt about it in New Hampshire) Jeff is a Cab Driver from ABQ. Skyler has the LOTTO Ticket to locate Hank and Steve. Skyler needs Saul to play that ticket.
One very small detail. The phrase "Let justice be done though the Heavens fall" was spoken by Kevin Costner in the film "JFK" and we know Saul once convinced a woman to sleep with him by pretending he was Kevin Costner.
New Mexico's handicap placards actually expire FOUR years from when they're issued. License plates one year. This suggests that both were acquired in November of 2004, or approximately four months after Kim left. Assuming Saul isn't driving around with long-expired plates, this scene is almost certainly in 2005.
I’d kinda like to see what she’s up to during Breaking Bad. I don’t think she’s out of the show completely before the finale. And I’m almost certain we’ll see Gus and Mike next week one final time as well. And I’m pretty sure this shows ending is the final three episodes.
If it jumps straight into the breaking bad timeline I am almost certain we will see Kim again. her story pre-breaking bad is technically finished but it still doesn't quite feel 'complete'
I wonder if the writers are trying to play us a bit. Jimmy was rather loud in the apartment about Lalo killing Howard when trying to talk Kim out of leaving. What if the apartment was bugged or what if someone happened to hear them going back and fourth? What if Mike bugged them? Would Mike & Gus be even comfortable with Kim leaving considering the information she has? What if Jimmy has to figure out a way to get Kim out of Albuquerque? I'm sure this is a REACH. With only 4 more episodes they need to move the story forward. This would be an interesting twist however! As far as the cameos. It was rumored that their would be 3 different Walt & Jesse cameos. One with just Jesse, One with just Walt and One with the both of them. I'll be curious to see if this ends up being true... P.S....The Kettlemans are Ice Station Zebra. It's soo obvious! I'd bet on it.
that's a really interesting idea & i wish they had written it like that & the whole moving out/it's over scene was staged truths & a plan to get kim out of abq safely & away from mexican cartels & super criminals like gus. it would leave the door open for a reunion in nebraska for sure, but i don't think this is what the bcs team have in mind & in store for them, would be nice though to have true love & partnership win in the end but that's not the story they seem to want to tell. as much as they love misdirection & surprises that's most likely not going to happen here, so the next 4 eps should focus on putting the jigsaw together that connects bcs to bb completely, & then maybe they'll push gene's story forward & connect the bcs to gene pieces. don't think that omaha story is going to get a whole ep though considering they already did a whole lot of that & this is their last chance to finally get bob odenkirk fully playing saul as he was in bb.
could be could be. The kiss in the parking lot and Jim letting Kim drive off (didn't they come together?) maybe that was an acknowledgement between them that their next scam needed to unfold. Also Kim's momentos of their scams were found in the mansion by the police like that bottle stopper - so Saul hasn't completely disconnected from Kim
This was a fantastic episode. We got an answer as to what happened to Kim during the events of Breaking Bad and it looks like we’re within Breaking Bad territory now. Great breakdown man, keep up the great work!
I'm hoping we can see the BCS comic getting adapted. For those who haven't read it, basically in just a few pages it shows you the process from which Saul finds Walter White working as a chemistry teacher, it would be cool just seeing him contacting Mike for the job, getting those always fun Mike scenes, and ending the episode with Saul walking to Walt's classroom to make him an offer, the moment that definitely changed his life forever.
a great detail i noticed is the fact that 610 has no longer the "and" in the title. just after kim left Jimmy, symbolizing that there is no more a couple
Man oh man, I was waiting for you to make a video cause that episode was insane! It feels like we got to see every BCS character get their pre-breaking bad ending! The fun and games are over
The next episode should be an indicator as to whether this is a time jump or just a flash forward. If we get Jimmy in the aftermath of Kim leaving or we pick up right where that scene brought us in the timeline. Personally, I prefer the time jump as it is much more effective in the drama department than seeing Jimmy go through the motions to get to that point. Of course, it boils down to the execution. I really hope we first get a glimpse of Walt working in the car wash (per a conversation between Saul and Walt during Breaking Bad) as an initial random encounter before we get to "Mr. Mayhew" showing up.
Yeah I don't think we need any more - the writers have given us everything we need. We don't need to see the Kettlemans selling Jimmy the inflatable liberty or the office being redecorated or Jimmy buying his house. The writers are so good at economic storytelling. Like on paper that scene of Gus at the restaurant feels indulgent but it's inclusion was perfect. We're going to be seriously bereft when this is over.
Wow! I really wanted to talk about this mind blowing episode but I live alone. Next best thing! Thanks Kiwi! Oh. My vote… Done with BCS. Fully into the new timeline. Hopefully Kim will crop up in the Gene timeline. The writers thought of every thing. Thought of everything again, flipped it, then thought about it! Dickinson amazing writing!
Yes, I didn't expect that. I thought Kim was going to tell her she had an affair with him at the office which would then lead to the Kim and Jimmy split.
I did kinda like it that Kim put wife in her place, tho. It's always really bugged me about funerals, (which I refuse to attend), as they are often just a big ceremony for the survivors who weren't giving a rat's ass about the deceased when alive, to commiserate, emote, cry and assuage their guilt. I hope Wifey is never able to drink a beautifully constructed latte again....cause that's the last interaction she had with the husband she now fakes grief for.....she doesn't miss him, but a suicide usually negates at least a big life insurance payoff to the spouse. That's all she cares about....and her image, too, of course.
Kim's oath does not necessarily need to be a flashback. If she was never disbarred, she could be re-applying to the bar at some future date. In Nebraska. I say this agreeing with the others who can't stand the breakup scene and really can't stand the thought of no more Rhea Seahorn in the remaining episodes.
I think the oath is a flashback to when Kim first got her law license. Jimmy a mailroom guy at HHM at the time was there to witness it. It might be the first time they slept together to celebrate Kim's success.
Good job of detailing the 2004-05 dates and how that fits into the BB timeline so we're just now getting into the BB world. It's also interesting that we see the opening montage the large silver lettered Saul Goodman sign and again in the episode 601 opener but yet it's not on the bldg in this episode, just the standard strip mall signage.
The opening to this episode with the coffee turning into Howard's blood and then his blood being scrubbed from the floor morphing into Jimmy's pasta sauce was absolutely EPIC. Also, we see the short-lived "Goodman & Associates" sign again from the opening of this season in the trash pile outside of Saul's house. I can understand keeping the little Zafiro bottle stopper as a memento of Kim, but that huge sign that was only up for, what, a couple of days? That's A LOT of sentimental value there. He must really be missing Kim to have kept that thing.
there's more things I noticed that he keeps re: Kim. he takes the painting from above the couch that had their post-its on it to his big new house. He gets a mug with the same message on it that she twice bought him a cup that said. He gets the exact car that she suggests. In cinnabon he has a lunch tote with the same baseball team logo that she's often wearing a long t-shirt without pants in their after-sex implied dialogue scenes from seasons 2-5.
Two loose ends I want answered are him buying the mansion and car, and how does he get the inflatable from the kettlmans or does he buy one similar. I feel like this episode ending is a flash forward to see how different Jimmy’s Saul is, to Saul Goodman’s Saul. I feel like if those loose ends are tied up then we will stay in the breaking bad timeline, or do we just assume he bought an inflatable and mansion and car, just in between. For how amazing this show is at showing every piece come together, it feels odd not to see these details materialize
Jimmy and Kim left the Kettlemans in a place where the now ruthless Saul Goodman could have come back with the stick and demanded they sell the inflatable to him. Or more likely, they got caught up in another scam and had to reach out to Saul who took on their case and asked for the inflatable for reduced legal fees. They have to be low on money after Kim made them give back the money from their Indian check cashing scheme. It really doesn't matter because the Kettlemans were pretty much out of the scaming business after Kim slammed them, so they wouldn't need the inflatable anymore.
I believe the time skip is into 2008. I think the license plate sticker from 2005 shows when he bought the car. But Saul Goodman can’t be bothered with getting a new sticker every year. It’s an expired sticker.
First Gen Beatles fans know that mono is actually “the gold standard” for their recordings. The mono box sets were always priced above stereo, and were highly preferred. The Beatles themselves liked mono mixes better for their immediacy and clear, block sound. I still think the writers got it right, in that our hero Saul probably wouldn’t know any of that, thinking mono is “ancient” and stereo is more “modern.” Mono would probably sound clearer on an AM car radio anyway!
I bet there's not going to be a Breaking Bad timeline, because that was just Breaking Bad. That story was already told. I think this point forward is going to be Gene wrapping up the series.
Pretty wild that we’re going to have 4 whole episodes post BCS timeline. I’m new to Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul since I caught up on both for the first time within just the past few months, but I gotta say I’m as pumped for these last 4 episodes as I would be for any other show that I’ve spent years watching. We’re really in uncharted territory now.
The conversation about the radio commercial cracked me up. I’m an audio engineer so let me explain a few things. He says the commercial was in mono, I only watched the episode once, but I didn’t hear any background music. Voice is typically mono and none of what he said made any actual sense. In fact, if there was background music and the commercial was changed from stereo to mono, you’d probably hear the voice more because the music would be the stereo thing in the mix that would be affected more so than the voice. Second, he’s talking about the FCCs rules for loudness. Company’s know that louder = more attention grabbing, (think about watching tv and the commercial comes on and it’s way louder than the show you’re watching), so the fcc put in very strict limitations on how loud commercials can be so that every company does just keep making their commercials louder and louder to compete with the other ads. Funny thing is, they were less strict back then than they are today I’m pretty sure.
His license plate showed a registration date of 2005 when he was headed to the office. His license plate in the first episode where his house is getting raided was 2011. So we’ll have to get another time jump.
@@000jimbojones000 Registration’s go from year to year as you know, the registration shows Jan, 2011, which means he probably renewed in late 2010, or still had Francesca doing his mundane tasks to keep up the lie. In the scene where Gene is trying to flee, his registration is for 2012. So, best guess has to be the Gene timeline we’ve seen so far, is about a year after the events of Breaking Bad and El Camino.
@@BigPerm2004 thx for the explanation on the register dates. Im from germany our system is a little bit different. ;-) As far as i know the BB timeline ended around Nov 2010? So that would fit.
It’s possible that this is the last time we see Kim. Could be a depressing but realistic take about divorce that sometimes it has no closure, only heartbreak and just that. However, there are plot threads that caught my attention 1. Kim having an extensive knowledge about who use ABQ topes air freshener which coincidentally popped up in Jeff car which also also coincidentally popped up in Nebraska, Kim’s home state. 2. I feel like there is one missing flashback for Kim because I can’t remember that this episode has a scene of her talking about on oath in the promotional teaser. 3. Who to hell is Marion? Could she be like Ed’s wife who facilitated Kim’s relocation? And the whole Gene popped up in Nebraska is extremely suspicious. But I don’t keep my hopes up. This could be the last time we see her.
maybe it's better to assume that she's packed & gone for good, permanently retired & out of the story, name in credits only, & if that's wrong what a great moment it'll be to see her again. if it does go down like that i hope it's not in ep 13 & there's time for a last kim plot line over at least 2 eps, rhea seehorn did say in an interview that kim doesn't just evaporate!
She is sworn in as a lawyer, in the promo. Doubt that it was her ABQ swear in. She's in Montana...... You heard that in an earlier episode. The clues, are there if you listen and remember...... Oh, and shes the phone call Jimmy is scheduled for when he is cleaning his office with Francesca.......
@@VideoServicesVB would love to see kim re-established as a lawyer but not sure how they can make that work with her law degreed identity compromised, also may be a stretch to go from the tossed ref to ranch in montana $ as jimmy's expectations of life as a friend of the cartel to her relocating there, don't remember the vacuum parts plan having a montana option; if she is still in contact with him during bb that is world of possibilities i hope they have time to explore
The 1st 6 minutes and that song gave me the chills. I know we always talk about the writing but that was probably let the best cinematography I’ve ever seen😂
Well done video! Love the breakdown and it was good to see it from someone else. That was an rollercoaster of an episode and seeing that last set of scenes changes the whole personality of the show we have been watching these past few years. It's been a wild ride, looking forward to the next.
I think there’s gonna be more with the BCS storyline concerning loose ends with Kim and Jimmy, and also how Jimmy finally chooses to embrace his Saul Goodman persona, which will connect into Breaking Bad. I’m guessing after we’ll see a lot of breaking bad and gene timelines after.
I think next week we'll be in Breaking Bad timeline. Why would they retread that when we already saw hoe their relationship ended. These past 2 episodes have had big events happen and I dont see it stopping now, but I do think we'll see Kim with Gene this time.
Considering there's 4 episodes left I think we'll have 2 Gene episodes and maybe Kim will show up again because her ending was a little abrupt and in the BB universe no one gets out that easy
@Friendly Neighborhood Moron badger and Skinny Pete were just close friends of Jesse now I understand Combo died so he didn’t make it out but it was kind of expected of them to make it out because they were never really IN in the game, just at most small time peddlers. Who didn’t deserve to die
I think the style of his office kinda matches where he lives. When he lived in the apartment his office was a blue-green color, similar to the apartment colors. When he moved into the mansion, his office reflected that with big pillars and a giant constitution wallpaper.
On IMDb it has been saying ever since the mid season finale that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul would appear in Episode 10. Somehow based off of that I actually figured that they had to wrap up Lalo and Kim in episodes 8 and 9 and probably show Gene‘s Storyline in the remaining two or three episodes. This show is all about Jimmy and Kim’s love story and I feel like Gene and her are definitely gonna meet up somehow, since that’s what this show is all about. There’s a reason the time jump happened directly after the break up and why it already makes the character of Saul feel way more depressing in Breaking Bad than we initially thought.
On Kim: We are 200% going to see her again. In the breaking bad timeline, we are going to see more of the personal life of Saul. We know what happens to all the other characters in Breaking Bad, however Sauls life during Breaking Bad wasnt revealed too much. I feel like we are going to witness him trying to get back in contact with Kim or something along the lines of this. If not, then I could see Gene and Kim seeing each other. Gene moves to Nebraska, which as he says to Jesse, the disappeared gives them a choice. Nebraska is where Kim is from, so this is quite evident I feel that Gene will try to see Kim before his ending.
Congrats on the raid sponser, im sure that pays well, ive been binging your videos and I love that you are really quick to upload good analysis videos on an episode that came out yesterday
Honestly.. I’m just speechless at this point. I have no words, predications, expectations. This show has me so fucked up I sat in silence for a good 3 minutes after it ended dumbfounded lol.
When we cut to Saul lying on the bed of his new lavish home, he's lying on his side like so many Breaking Bad characters do except this time it's from Saul's back. Also, Cliff never confronted Kim about the no-call/no-show at the foundation award thingy that he set up for her. I was disappointed in these two omissions.
Howard's wake wasn't the place for Cliff to confront Kim about her no show.Had he done so standing with Howard's widow that would have set her suspisions of foul play off the scale. Had Cliff done so in private, it would have made Kim's decision to leave Jimmy less one of her taking responsibility for her actions and more of a panic move after the first crack in their alibi.
@@TheLAGopher You make excellent points about the plot problems it would have created, but I do wish the show runners had figured out a way to make it work. Damn…now that’s gonna bother me.
I'm also curious about who "Marion" is and when she'll appear. They made a big deal of announcing Carol Burnett and her character so you'd think it was something pretty important, especially so close to the end of the series. And I think Jeff the cab driver is what we'd call a "chancer" here in the UK. He recognises Saul, he knows he could turn him in for the reward money, but instead he'll keep torturing Gene/Saul and possibly blackmailing him for more cash. That's probably all there is to it and I don't believe he's undercover cop, working for Kim, or anything like that. He's just a grifting scumbag.
That's been my belief too. However, if I were him, I'd just turn him in. If you try to blackmail him, he could just disappear again, and you'd get nothing.
The license plate says the date it was issued. Not the date it expires. It must have been issued in 2005 and Saul was driving it for 2-3 years since The Handicap tag shows the date it expires, which is 2008.
So I'm starting to get the feeling that Kim is going to reappear in the Gene timeline somehow come back to being a lawyer and represents. Saull Goodman that's probably why she's retaking her oath as a lawyer in the state of New Mexico she probably comes back to law to represent Jimmy
@@Beauty_Way I mean I'm not saying the necessarily wind up as a couple again but you know maybe she comes out of retirement just for the specific reason
I think it would be cool to the see the ramifications of the break up on jimmy. Seeing how he recouped from that and decided to fully embrace the saul goodman life. I think Episode 10 could feature parallel timelines, half the episode is pre-breaking bad and the other half is in the breaking bad timeline.
I wonder if we even see Kim again. I would think after BB time if we do. But these writers sometimes leave things open for speculation. The main thing is though we now know why Kim wasn't in BB.
New Mexico Handicap placards are good for four years, indicating he registered his caddy and got his placard on 11/20/04, about five months after Kim dumped him and triggered the change into Saul. So, if we call this the summer of 2005, he accomplished a lot in a year.
I find it hard to believe that Mike's guys are still not watching Saul and Kim and that they wouldn't take Kim quitting as a lawyer as a sign that she is flaking out and might be a liability.

Saul has a dining table but no one ever dines with him, he has a piano he can't play
He probably never forgot about marco, I mean he still has the pinky ring all the way until breaking bad so he most likely never actually forgot about him
That was not Kennedy lol
It was Saul’s face on the coin above the closet.

It really is appropriate that once Kim left jimmy would really turn into Saul. I loved the acting in this episode. Actually made me shed some tears. Haven’t done that in awhile.
I have never liked Saul less. Ugh what a creep. Gimme Jimmy!!

Kim & Gus have a lot in common. Because of her scam, Howard will be equally dismissed.

What was interesting about Kim saying how bad they were for each other is that Jimmy tried to talk her out of going after Howard, told her that people were going get emotionally wrecked, and that she wouldn't be able to live with it afterwards, but she insisted, and he reluctantly agreed.
Very well put.
And that's the episode when Bob Odenkirk had a heart attack...
I wonder if he could ever forgive Kim enough to even do another scam with her.
@@keyamazed1038 oh, I must have got that wrong, thinking they'd been talking about the e09
Two points:
Nacho died cause of him choices he was the game while Mike's son was honest cop.
Those B&W scenes with Jimmy/Gene could just be what he is telling himself, not Kim. He does do a lot of talking to himself as Jimmy/Saul.
@@pratap6183 And Mike was a cop "on the take" so always a criminal. The wrong son was with the wrong dad.
maybe Kim says that in the court on Jimmy/Gene case where he will defend himself, and she will be there as a witness
Nebraska, who is in Nebraska
That was the line he used with Ed when he changed his identity to gene so Kim is not necessarily there, but the happy ending will be as I could picture is to make it up to Howard reputation, because that was the biggest crime they did as Jamie and Kim, and maybe getting justice to someone or some people who would be wronged in the last 4 episodes
It’s a fairy expectation I know, but they promised a happy ending
On the other hand please creators make a Gus backstory a new series
That's not *supposed to be* Saul's parking spot - it's a handicap spot. It's a great way to tell us about this character - there's plenty of parking there right in front of the place, and he still takes up the one accessible spot.....
I liked when he put the handicap parking tag on his mirror and said freedom of speech. Weird that so many people were in his office, but the parking lot was empty.
Saul Goodman was a broken man the whole time 🥺
The scene with Howards wife Cheryl and Cliff Main was so full of everything that makes this series great.
This scene really reminded me of Skyler telling Marie about Walts "gambling winnings"

The only one I think comes close is Handmaids Tale but that's just cause I love dark thrillers and the actors are just as good in that show too.
If we're going straight into breaking bad timeline now, I bet we'll see Kim again, I hope during the gene story, I would love a reunion
KIM IS GONE
We definitely need to see the Kettlemans again! I'll be so sad if we don't :(
I was thinking of this as well
that's a really interesting idea & i wish they had written it like that & the whole moving out/it's over scene was staged truths & a plan to get kim out of abq safely & away from mexican cartels & super criminals like gus. it would leave the door open for a reunion in nebraska for sure, but i don't think this is what the bcs team have in mind & in store for them, would be nice though to have true love & partnership win in the end but that's not the story they seem to want to tell. as much as they love misdirection & surprises that's most likely not going to happen here, so the next 4 eps should focus on putting the jigsaw together that connects bcs to bb completely, & then maybe they'll push gene's story forward & connect the bcs to gene pieces. don't think that omaha story is going to get a whole ep though considering they already did a whole lot of that & this is their last chance to finally get bob odenkirk fully playing saul as he was in bb.
Where did you hear that rumor?
could be could be.
Kim was not present when Saul chose his car and renovated his office, but she influenced those decisions. Kim is still on his mind.

The episode has barely been out man. Wow the speed at which your crank these out is incredible
awesome analysis

Congratulations on the sponsor my boi!!! You deserve it, been watching you for months now.
It might be the first time they slept together to celebrate Kim's success.
sponsors! Love to see the growth of this channel during this season 6 era
Obviously buys the mansion with the sandpiper settlement money loool, show isn’t gonna hold your hand
Also I can't understand why the show didn't show how he bought all those ties. I mean, every tie is a different loose end!
@@DocUzuki Hahahahaha
Jimmy and Kim left the Kettlemans in a place where the now ruthless Saul Goodman could have come back with the stick and demanded they
sell the inflatable to him. Or more likely, they got caught up in another scam and had to reach out to Saul who took on their case and asked
for the inflatable for reduced legal fees. They have to be low on money after Kim made them give back the money from their Indian check cashing scheme. It really doesn't matter because the Kettlemans were pretty much out of the scaming business after Kim slammed them, so they wouldn't need the inflatable anymore.
Do we really need to see that? Like there are so many better things we could be seeing.
Dude, you've done your research. Best BCS breakdown on YT that I know of.

The Greek pantheon paintings in his mansion were a reference to Saul saying that he shoots lightning out of his finger tips to Howard

So 4 more episodes ?
@@abdulrahmanmohammed1117 Yeah it’s supposed to be 13 total for the season so 4 more.
I think they’re setting us up for the Walt and Jesse cameo
I have watched a few other BCS breakdown videos (don't judge me😁) but by far this channel is the best. Keep on keeping on!!
His license plate showed a registration date of 2005 when he was headed to the office. His license plate in the first episode where his house is getting raided was 2011. So we’ll have to get another time jump.
Sooo the raid of his home is after he became Gene... Braking Bad Timeline ended in 2010. So why is there a plate of 2011? He is already Gene in 2011.
Your video survived AMC today's clampdown on most of my favourite BCS youtubers, congrats. Really was needing this fix.
It’s possible that this is the last time we see Kim. Could be a depressing but realistic take about divorce that sometimes it has no closure, only heartbreak and just that.
However, there are plot threads that caught my attention
This could be the last time we see her.
oh what promo?
I totally forgot about the promo!
maybe it's better to assume that she's packed & gone for good, permanently retired & out of the story, name in credits only, & if that's wrong what a great moment it'll be to see her again. if it does go down like that i hope it's not in ep 13 & there's time for a last kim plot line over at least 2 eps, rhea seehorn did say in an interview that kim doesn't just evaporate!
Literally the longest Raid ad in a video ever
The 1st 6 minutes and that song gave me the chills. I know we always talk about the writing but that was probably let the best cinematography I’ve ever seen😂
Well done video! Love the breakdown and it was good to see it from someone else. That was an rollercoaster of an episode and seeing that last set of scenes changes the whole personality of the show we have been watching these past few years. It's been a wild ride, looking forward to the next.
I'm so happy for you, that the love you gave to the videos pays out now... And you got sponsored
@@AntonioGee well not really retreading, but jimmy’s aftermath of the breakup/divorce and leading into him opening up shop as “better call saul!”
this is the moment where jimmy becomes raid shadow legends
this guy gets it
Considering there's 4 episodes left I think we'll have 2 Gene episodes and maybe Kim will show up again because her ending was a little abrupt and in the BB universe no one gets out that easy
3 left. ep10 ep11 and ep12. 3 more
@@sebtorgzy5329 on Netflix it says there's 13, unless it got it wrong
@@dishonourable_junkie690 interesting I could be wrong then. For some reason I saw 12 but my apologies . Enjoy the rest my guy
He wouldn’t lose that much hair in just a year. My guess is the time jump is a few months before he meets Walt in breaking bad season 2
On Kim:
We are 200% going to see her again.
"Rewatching it, and rewatching it, and rewatching it..." lol So relatable! Love your videos. Amazing episode
Howard's wake wasn't the place for Cliff to confront Kim about her no show.Had he done so standing with Howard's widow that would have set her
suspisions of foul play off the scale.
@@TheLAGopher Looks like Cliff will keep his doubts to himself.
props on the quick upload! Your breakdowns are always my favorite so the quick upload is really appreciated!
Once again you have done a great job with this recap. Thanks!
The license plate says the date it was issued. Not the date it expires.
It must have been issued in 2005 and Saul was driving it for 2-3 years since
The Handicap tag shows the date it expires, which is 2008.
this makes more sense, i dont see any reason why they would just jump to 2005 of all years
you have to get your license renewed every year though
that makes sense, otherwise why throw in the masturbator in that sequence
@@binmanbinman Yeah. It's in 2005. We will probably get multiple time jumps including next episode.
@@binmanbinman oh yeah, itll be interesting to see why they chose 2005 instead of directly into bb timeline
So I'm starting to get the feeling that Kim is going to reappear in the Gene timeline somehow come back to being a lawyer and represents. Saull Goodman that's probably why she's retaking her oath as a lawyer in the state of New Mexico she probably comes back to law to represent Jimmy
That would work for me 😊
@@Beauty_Way I mean I'm not saying the necessarily wind up as a couple again but you know maybe she comes out of retirement just for the specific reason
Oh that'd be good
I wonder if we even see Kim again. I would think after BB time if we do. But these writers sometimes leave things open for speculation. The main thing is though we now know why Kim wasn't in BB.
Saul fits the description of a workaholic. He’s trying to stay busy to distance himself from himself.
Also, off topic but when eladio said that the Salamanca’s will run the south valley; Tuco must be getting out soon.
Good for you, man! I'll watch that Raid ad so you can get that bag! Keep it up Kiwi you legend
