- I’ve been a Turkish Airlines gold status customer for close to a decade. But after this business class flight, I can no longer recommend Turkish Airlines. Learn about the 3 major problems on this trip from Basel to Istanbul.

Record secretly, always. You are not allowed to film the faces of other peoples, not only on turkish airlines. And so its normal that the flight attendant will intervene. And only because they ban filming, it doesnt mean they encourage fake reviews. Sorry but its once again an exaggerated clickbait video, like your other review from IST to AUH.

I entirely disagree that the permission requirement is so they can control business class reviews. Many people don’t like RUclipsrs filming them on board. Many complain to the airline. If the airline has a record of you requesting to film, they can deal with that complaint better by setting boundaries of what you can / can’t film in advance. Remember you don’t have an automatic right to film other people on a plane and upload onto social media. And even if you don’t intend to film anyone else, the airline doesn’t know that unless you have an agreement before the flight.
After this trip, I reached out to TK to ask about how I would go about requesting permission for the future. They didn't give me any meaningful answer. My conclusion is that they just don't want people making reviews.
