1935 Austin 7 save Part 2 SD 480p

This section has me unsuccessfully trying to sort out the coil and distributor. Geez these other guys make it looks so easy. It's really not. So far I've spent eight hours on this, and still I'm not very close to getting it started even now.

Is it the earth wire earthing the baseplate?

Hi Peter,
I’m really struggling with this to be truthful. I finally got a spark at the plug but very weak! If you’re interested I can give you chapter and verse on how I got there; but I suspect you could have done it in a couple of minutes compared to my several hours. I feel hopeless with this stuff sometimes… it’s sheer stubbornness that keeps me going. 😊

I only suggested it because I've come across it before on an a series classic mini. Good luck. I know nothing about Austin sevens could be different.
