What a wonderful, rich interview with Cynthia! Ryan, you asked terrific questions which show already your depth of understanding at a relatively young age. It gives me hope for this world. Thank you! 🙏
I attended Cynthia's Aspen Wisdom School at the Aspen Chapel in the 90's and AM SO GRATEFUL for introducing me to the truest heart of Christianity.. I grieve for what has been lost and what Jesus really came here to demonstrate
Such a fantastic talk. I was able to experience Cynthia’s presence, compassion, wisdom and beauty in person at Nine Gates Mystery School. Profound. She’s very gifted in supporting others on their personal path. Thank you both for doing this interview!
I've recently had an experience that taught me that it's ok and fine just to be happy and satisfied with simple joy. It doesn't have to be intense and euphoric all the time.
Thank you, Cynthia, for being honest and not holding back in expressing the ugliness of Donald Trump. We need more people to discern the truth and speak it! Thank you.
Thank you for such an insightful and delightful conversation! This kind of wisdom, compassion and detachment is what I need to help me face the next four years of Donald Trump's Reign of Error. That, and the prophecy of Isaiah 2...
Thanks for asking the questions you asked, Ryan. Some of those are on my mind too. It felt like i was having a conversation with Cynthia. Thanks for sharing your maps with us, Cynthia. They have greatly supported me.
1:40:07 AM I came to Cynthia through Thomas Keating and Richard Rohr. She consistently makes sense to me through her intellect and thoughtfulness, but especially through her spirituality and love of God and Jesus, and the truth she finds in our Christian heritage.
That was great, thanks for having her on Ryan! Thank you for bringing in the wars, suffering, privilege, and politics into the questions, made for a rich reflection
Thank you dearest Cynthia for spending your time helping me realise what I already know and bringing the Truth of Love into Christianity. Thank you Ryan for a great interview
This is yet another beautiful inspirational video in a difficult world. I think Finley and Bourgeault are right Ryan. You have found a beautiful calling.
For so many of the reasons she speaks of, I have experienced deep vipassana practice to offer the purest and most honest kenosis through which the One Good True and Beautiful can peek through. Much love to you Ryan for putting up these lovely materials.
Wonderful interview. I guess my only question/caution/wish... let's not be so sure that an election, of which there can only ever be an either/or outcome, will make or break this both/and experiment of divine creation. Not saying it would be easy or pretty or without heartache, but the world survived round one of Donald Trump and it would survive round two. ❤
My only concern is that this 2nd time around he seems even less coherent and sane than he was in his first presidency. His instability now is a bit frightening...
Blessings to all of you. A very good insightful conversation. I was saddened by your comments on Amercian politics, fairly glib comments that rrally requires in-depth discussion and understanding. An example would be listening to Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand listening to them with your heart as they search, trying to create clarity.
"Jesus was an avatar" This alone shows how she does not know who Jesus the Messiah is. Sad. Philippians 2:10-11 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
She preaches liberal spirituality, albeit meditation based. Jesus however insisted that his disciples should strive to enter only through the "narrow gate" (Mt. 7:14, 21). Sincere truth-seekers should read Paramahansa Yogananda's spiritual classic "Autobiography of a Yogi" that gives an authentic understanding of the true nature of scientific yoga meditation. 🙏
I really like Cynthia Bourgeault and Richard rohr but you guys are so wrong about Trump! All I can think is you watch CNN!! But I’m surprised at the lack of discernment and hearing from the Lord!
Yes my thoughts exactly! I love listening to Cynthia B I have gained much peace and insight. But no way will trump get in that is indeed too much CNN influence.
From my listening Cynthia was very fair and I would say charitable in her remarks about Mr Trump. I have great difficulty understanding why anyone would defend his history of dishonesty in both the political and business worlds. How does one defend his clearly stated desires for retribution and his demeaning attitudes toward fellow citizens - as made clear by his public statements - toward anyone who disagrees with his views and desires. Why defend and/or rationalize his threats against the civil order that has served this nation so well for so long. This has nothing to do with CNN - I personally do not watch it should that be important to you - or Fox News for that matter. Mr. Trump has made his views, desires, and plans quite clear for all to hear. He has demonstrated impetuous and immature public behavior. I can understand why one might support him out of party loyalty but why defend him? Enlighten me if you can.
😊 I echo this thought to a degree. Cynthia seems to lose her broad, calm perspective (in my limited view as an Aussie) when talking about Trump. The main media here skews Trump in the same way CNN does in the US. No politician is perfect and Trump certainly has his many issues, yet he is hitting some strong chords with public opinion in the US. It does seem too, we have more war now than when Trump was in power and immigration is out of control - aren’t these things worth considering, at least acknowledging? It’s certainly disappointing that she seems to portray him as ALL BAD… aren’t we called to see beyond what we react to and maybe listen to some voices that see things from a different perspective than those we are accustomed to hearing? I wonder if her opinions will develop or remain entrenched. I notice Richard Rohr (whose teaching I greatly respect and value) also expresses similar views on Trump - but not so directly or strongly. Are we witnessing the left go too far? Love the rest of the interview though! She has a gift of expressing the inner journey and is a gentle and experienced leader in this space. Thank you Cynthia 😊
I have to admit I cannot understand people who have a deep Christian faith, a core of that being an ethical and moral center, who support Trump. The question is not why Trump would upset Cynthia, the question is why he and what he represents isn’t horrifying to all persons of faith. And to be clear, I listen to multiple news stations.
What a wonderful interview. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you so much!

*Great people, great discussion!*
*You have gotten into the real core and goal of religions.*
Amazing conversation! Thank you both for it. It gave me answers to some of my recent key questions.
Ryan’s questions are great. As someone mostly new to centering prayer, he’s asking practical questions, and Cynthia’s responses are very helpful.
*And those great questions come from a great points of view., from love, oneness, and seeking the truth.*
Thanks for a great interview and the wise answers of Cynthia Bourgeault.
I have listened to and read Cynthia's books for many years, thank you for this video which gives me so much.
Excellent interview! And I really appreciate how you've broken the video down into topical segments for us!! Thank you!

Thank you.
And Harris and Biden are such beautiful and angelic souls.
Love Cynthia, love the way she sits in this interview with her legs splayed open, an iconoclast in every way. God Bless you, Cynthia Bourgeault . . .
Open heart for and body language.
rich conversation. probing questions but asked in good faith. full of clarifying insights. thank you!

With Bourgeault, Keating, Finley, Rohr and Merton, Yes and Ryan! ….we have no excuses but at the very least to STOP each day and “Let Go”
Thank you for interviewing Cynthia! She’s such a wonderful teacher. Thank you for your work, you are a natural interviewer!
Thanks for asking the questions you asked, Ryan. Some of those are on my mind too. It felt like i was having a conversation with Cynthia. Thanks for sharing your maps with us, Cynthia. They have greatly supported me.

Great questions…. Beautiful transmission.
Centering prayer was a turning point.
Love every word of this, thank you!
Her explanation of Christianity is my own belief as well. Nice to hear someone explain it the way I see it. Thanks so much for this interview.
Good questions. !! Cynthia i wish i knew your story of receiving the Eucharist accidentally-- because I also did.
"Your part of the bargain is to try not to go crazy"
Gurdijiff - I heard a strange story of bending a fork with his mind/focus/consciousness...

I think it’s very likely we wouldn’t surprise round 2. Not as a thriving democracy. To minimize his threat is to sanitize him.
My only concern is that this 2nd time around he seems even less coherent and sane than he was in his first presidency. His instability now is a bit frightening...
“‘Get your resume together’. What for?” 😂🙏

Then pre pandemic legs. ❤

Love Cynthia's books but found a lot of this gobbledygooks.

10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
But Jesus _was_ an avatar. An avatar is any being who is part divine and part human. Jesus was the Son of God and also the Son of Man.
Word salad.Jesus is a myth.

I've known mystics. She's no mystic.

Even CNN and MSNBC will show words from Trump’s own mouth. And it is words from his own mouth that condemns him.
