#poetsofthefall
He's the loved one that passed away in the video, it's actually beautiful, sad and romantic at the same time. The fact that the entire crew were freezing their behinds off during the shoot led to their visible breaths, which adds nicely to the slightly ghostly atmosphere they tried to create in this house that she revisits to feel close to him although she cannot see him. The live version is wonderful, but I think the video sheds more light on the story they're trying to tell and brings the message of the song across. Great reaction, looking forward to more Poets of the Fall videos from you.
Thanks so much for sharing this info! Much appreciated. Definitely adds a lot to the meaning of this song!
Live version of this song at the Moscow concert is great to watch.
Marko's voice is so,so beatiful ❤
The most underrated band ever... 😢😢😢
They are so good!
Loved by the right people ;) ... they have a very loyal and appreciative fandom, that's worth something.
The first Poets song I ever heard & I was immediately hooked.
I think of the house as her deepest self that she's retreated into (note she walks backwards into it & away from the light outside) after a heartbreak/loss & Marko is her tucked away inner self speaking & reminding her of the reasons to come back through all the tears (the big bowl of water?) & run back to the light outside & all the people that cradle her in love.
In the same way listen to their The Ballad of Jeremiah Peacekeeper.
Reminders to be strong, accept love & love yourself too.
Such a strong message so gently sung ❤
Yep, still love your Poets reactions . More please, more . This was my first Poets song. I heard their name in a Finnish course and looked up a song on RUclips randomly. This was it. It did a good job in pulling me into the Poets world [not instantly, but the first spark was there], even though part of me was like "isn't this a bit cheesy?". I was still really moved, especially by The Voice. This last part of the song, with just the repeated "cradled in love" really does make you feel cradled, and made me cry more than once. I'm thinking of poetically interesting songs to recommend to you ... Drama For Life is one that comes to mind. And yeah you just definitely have to watch more of the Alexander Theatre Sessions. Like Children of the Sun ...
Such a great song and video. I definitely understand your point about it possibly going to the cheesy side, but they do an amazing job of pulling you into their story.
Beautiful song!
Great reaction Saeed! Thank you for sharing!
Truly beautiful. Love their music. Thanks for watching, Orly. Have a great day!
Great reaction Saeed, as always ❤ I love how you relate so much to the poetry. Please do explore more from Poets of the Fall. About this video and the character Marko is portraying... if I remember correctly Poets of the Fall "lore", this should be Jeremiah Peacekeeper... therefore, maybe you could check out Ballad of Jeremiah Peacekeeper from the 2013 live in moscow 🥰🥰🎶🎶 I am pretty sure you are going to love it.
Thank you for sharing that. I must look that up!
Wow.. enchanting 😮❤
Watching a thriller/horror at the beginning while listening to a beautiful voice. Super!! Tx Saeed. Greetings from South Africa
Indeed! Video had those vibes. Thanks for watching. Greetings from Belgium
It is almost funny that people sometimes fear to open their heart and have sort of buffer zone around them so that they won't be hurt and it may work well on that, but it also builds a barrier so that the other person cannot get close to you. I myself am happy to be an risk taker as it offers more even if it can be sometimes also hurtful but still I think it is the beteer way to go. In sports they have this saying 'No pain, no gain'. I do love the lyrics of Poets of The Fall as they don't make cheese song, not even their softest ones are that. The whole another thing is if everyone actually are willing to be honest or show their inner self and take any risks in relationships. Some people only after a break-up, will start to think what has happened and their part in that and unfortunately it is often too late. I have had to listen two times regretful explanations from my exs', but the thing is, that if you break your promises you may have burned all the bridges behind you and then there is no coming back. One of my women wanted to see me and share her thoughts and feelins after our separation about 10 years and tell me how she had these problems in her realtionships to the point, that I had to tell her, that I didn't really want to meet her again and even less hear about the misfortunes of her current life. She was one of those who would carry their problems from the past relationships to the next ones and never see the pattern in their own life and behavior.. That is sad. You can runaway from everything else but never from yourself.
I was married for over 56 years when my husband died nearly 2 years ago. Being alone is a huge change.
I can only imagine.🫂🫂🫂 Definitely something i think a lot about after being together with my wife since we were like 15.
@@SaeedReacts. Yes, the long term relationships do make you think about it.
So glad you are back with the Poets. Marko's voice sucks you in 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Beautiful song and video!

Imagine a new Superband tho. Poets of the Fall + Nightwish. That would be the last band ever needed.
