It's not a mystery why it sounds like Backstreet boys or Nsync, it's supposed to be a parody of those boy bands and the song writers are the same songwriters that wrote a lot of those boy band songs.
The old guy is a very famous singer in Sweden,Loa Falkman.. he even acts in some films and had a song in Melodifestivalen once :) The guy you said you recognised is Casper Jane brink.. The singer from Arvingarna.. you saw them in one of the either eurovision compilation or Melodifestivalen clips.. they sang Eloise in eurovision song contest by the way :) Some of the guys are real musicians here in Sweden and one or two actors and one of them is Björn Gustafsson, comedian.. I THINK you saw him in something.. but in case you didn't i recommend the tvshow parliamentet :) he's really funny
In the Eurovision song contest, a maximum of six people are allowed on stage when the various countries' contributions are performed. In the Melodifestivalen, however, two more people have been allowed, i.e. eight people on stage. Björnzones 10 members can't therefore be a part of the competition.

People would probably have voted for them, but the problem then would have been that you’re only allowed to be 6 on stage in ESC
Yeah, and 8 in mello
Fun fact: Charlie Puth accualy wrote the song
this wasnt an actually competing but would have won if it actually was
