My former doctor was a victim of a stalker who ultimately killed her and himself in a murder/suicide in a department store parking lot. After her death, it was revealed that he stalked her every day for several months. He kept detailed journals on her clothing she wore, places she went, and the people she talked to. She went through every legal channel she could to get rid of him. She was a beautiful, compassionate and intelligent doctor. I still think about her.

My friend's ex husband was deported to Honduras (she found out he was here illegally as well as some other unsettling things).
He managed to get back in the country and showed up at her house in Missouri unannounced.
He said he was there to kidnap her and then was going to force her to kill 2 people.
She contacted Homeland Security - it took them over a month to respond back.
She contacted the local police who said "he hasn't done anything yet."
?????????? What kind of response is that

I had the creepiest letter sent to my house after blocking my ex on every single possible media platform available 7 months prior. He told me he would be travelling from a country half way across the world to find me again.
I took the letter to the police and showed them all of the horrible shit he used to say to me in texts… he showed up in my country and the police did nothing. He went to my place of work and they didn’t even call me to tell me that it was reported.
So much for crime prevention… he could have killed me and they wouldn’t have even checked in on me that day.
I went out of the city to hide which is the only reason he didn’t get to me.
I have absolutely no trust in police anymore.

I think that it was smart to first tell Rebecca's story without a mention of Bardo, abruptly end it with "then tragedy struck", and then start talking about Bardo's story. It highlights what things looked like from her perspective and how she lived blissfully unaware of this stalker, and how scary and confusing it must have been for her when Bardo came to her apartment. She was a huge part of his life, but she didn't even know that he existed. Bardo's delusions were scary...

I've had a stalker that had been contacting me on and off, showing up to my yard and gate since 2008. Hundreds of calls and messages, hand written letters... The guy used to work for my father and would watch my sister and I with everything we did. When he got fired, that's when the messages and the likes started. It's terrifying and what is really terrifying is the lack of police assistance. This case is absolutely heartbreaking and frightening. What a loss to the world.

He kept trying to get me to play through the chainlink fence, which my family didn't like because he was 10 years older. My grandmother was a school secretary, mentioned his name to a social worker in conversation. The social worker responded with "I really can't say anything, but keep him away from your grandchildren " 😳 My grandmother remembered that the dad was always yelling at him.

@Daathiel that's cool bro we all have desires , some more stronger than others but you just have to not give in to those desires. Some people have certain weaknesses that others dont but we all have something we got to work on and fight all the way to our grave even and God is able to deliver. Giving in to those thoughts and desires just makes it stronger. God delivered me from lust and masturbation for years now. I still have dreams and the devil tries to tempt me but if I were to give in the bible says seven more spirits more wicked than itself will enter. So giving into these thoughts just makes it worse and it is possible to starve them off. I know it's tougher for men out there but they have a responsibility to deal with it and its just the entitlement that angers me. Killing a girl over your perversion is wrong.

So many lives has been taken by this phenomenon : Christina Grimmie (i still go to her channel and listen to her cover of titanium, i have never listened to anyone that touched me in a way she did with that song) , Bjork very narrowly escaped her stalker fortunately, the influencer whose stalker slit her throat and then took pictures and uploded it (bianca devon I think I am sorry I don’t remember her name, I don’t mean any disrespect). This happens way too often. I understand these individuals are ill but it doesn’t change the fact they killed/hurt someone innocent.

Why is it that there are very few mentally ill women who will do these things?
The vast majority of women is straight up terrified of leaving home to get to work because they know that a man might see them and decide to stalk and murder them. We are taught to minimise ourselves and be hypervigilant, and men are taught to be aggressive, demanding and abrasive.
Then the entire society puts on a Pikachu face when yet another woman is murdered due to the myriad of reasons men come up with. (I'm not only talking about stalking and erotiomania).
Fuck this, teach men to minimise themselves instead and to be less aggressive. The only way to a peaceful society is when men will learn how to be less emotional

I believe, at a certain point, you’re too far gone due to a toxic and harmful upbringing. Stalking with any kind of violent undertones (which is usually the case) should result in the stalker automatically getting 25 years in prison. It is more often than not a precursor to someone being capable of causing serious harm to a person. But that’s just my 2 cents.

So many comments about having stalkers. It’s really frightening. I had one at 21, an unstable coworker that would corner me in the back of the store we worked in, and even followed me home. My managers asked what I did to make him feel like he could do what he did to me, and that there was nothing they could do to keep him away. They wouldn’t even do much as switch our shifts. I ended up quitting that job, but stayed fearful for years. I never tried to file charges, and learned pretty fast that no one cared, let alone would they do anything to help.

Although this is a rare disorder, a movie about it was made in 2004 with Daniel Craig, Samantha Morton and Rhys Ifans. It was so well done I bought a copy. Rhys Ifans and Daniel Craig are strangers who go through a trauma together and this sets Rhys Ifans' character (Jed Parry) on a mission to win Joe (Daniel Craig) over. He stalks him relentlessly.
The name of it is _Enduring Love._ It's one of the creepiest stalker movies I've ever seen. Moreover, it portrays this dangerous illness really well.
