I'll just add. You don't have to remove the access cover to do this service. You have two bolts closest to the tank. I loosen those. Remove the third bolt and let it hinge down.

Do you know how to remove the side panel to get to the def tank on a peterbilt 579
@@rahmanrucker4408. By side panel do you mean the aero side skirt. No I do not know how to remove those. I just crawl around to the def tank.

Def injector...i took off the front skirt but back one needs to come off my fat ass cant get under the truck lol

It’s normal for Trucks that work at oil fields and haul frac sands to get low mpg cause of the heavy weight and the road conditions
