Revisiting the Elevators at the Missouri State Capitol Building

Even though it's not our nation's capitol, the MO state capitol seemed like an appropriate upload to celebrate the 4th of July. It's been a while since I've checked up on the elevators here, so while in the area this past winter, I rode the 2 most interesting ones in the building (both have been modded since my last visit) and took some extra shots showing off just how beautiful this building is. I like how The Show-Me State kept the original floor indicator arrows over the Capitol’s elevator doors-they are obviously original to this historic building!!! I can tell the elevators themselves have been modded over the years and are very attractive-but I know that as a building constructed in the 1910’s-The Missouri Capitol’s original elevators were manual controlled by operators-I’m sure those were really something!!! Oh,if one could go back in time to ride those!!! Just imagine!!!

I was just there last week and the mens room is a trip. There was a toilet "stall" that didn't have a door but instead used a shower curtain! No joke!
