- (7-9-19) Paul came to visit me in St. Louis, and he really wanted to ride to the top of the arch! Enjoy this video of our journey to the top of the arch with a view from the top!

i remember seeing the arch from a jet window seat back in 1989, flew from atlanta georgia to st. louis airport. i knew i was in missouri when i seen that arch.i wanted to go ride up it but fort leonardwood had another plan for me ,lol basic training.nice to see it again on youtube videos !
I have fond memories visiting the Arch when I was a little kid. It was about 1980. The elevators left an impression on me. . I visited my mothers family from Arizona... Good times!

A bedroom in one of my rental properties has a perfect view of the Arch from 7.76 miles away.
If anyone wants to know, as of April 2021, rides to the top are still closed, but the grounds and lobby are open. Call ahead to see if anything has changed.

does a video exist of that elevator you pointed out on the way up (not the one you're in, the other one that goes sideways)?

This wasn't a very good video, the other videos I seen of people riding up to the top of the arch was alot better.
It always depends whose behind the camera! Some have it, some don't

@@atomstarfireproductions8695 I think it's like a radio tower elevator, so it probably works like 1 of those. There are some videos of radio tower elevators.
