    From corpse paint Drukkari to a bright colorful ork wyvern tromping through a cheerful forest. The juxtaposition is hardcore on this channel and I love it.

    fuck yeah. I literally just finished mine before turning on the PC and finding this video. Super sick scheme, it made me feel kinda bad about mine that its not as traditional. My wyvern is black with pink scales and grey wing webbing, and the axe is glowing fluro pink.

    I've had this model for over 16 years. I've stripped and re-primed it from my terrible childhood paint job, but now I collect chaos and have no idea how to make it fit with my army.

      It's Chaos, you don't need a reason. Just stat him as a Champion and never roll Gaze for him. A Warboss krumpin' his way into the leadership of a warband sounds like a fun story. 5:01

    I’d love to see your take on some Wereweevil Models. His range of orks is amazing.

    Believe me or not but I found this video after watching a goat listen to hardcore grime heavy metal and enjoying it.
    PS: The goat was enjoying it.

    This model is my childhood, I traded mine away a thousand years ago and have never stopped regretting it. I cant even remember what i got in the trade, I just know it wasn’t worth it.

    Love the woodsy cartoon take on this absolute gem of a model. Btw what varnishes did you use? I tend to have problems with chipping even using varnish throughout

    • @billiondollarclownfarm
      @billiondollarclownfarm  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you!! I use a mix of ak ultra matte and Vallejo satin. I think the best way to prevent chipping is actually through thorough priming, I switched back to using rattle cans instead of airbrush primer at some point because I feel like airbrush primer leads to more chipping. If you apply enough coats and don’t use thinner it’s probably fine still but I did a bad job (too thin, too much thinner/flow improver, just one coat) on a few models and no matter how much I varnish them they still chip.
      Washing metal models with soap and water before painting helps too, since sometimes they have a little mold release on them which is bad for paint adhesion (same goes for resin)

      @@billiondollarclownfarm yeah the primer is a great point, I've started using less thinner and waiting the full cure time which seems to be helpful. Plus soon it I'll be able to rattle prime outside again.
      Is your Vallejo satin varnish their acrylic or polyurethane one? I use the acrylic satin w the same AK ultra matte and still have issues so I wonder if something less water reactive might help

    I have an airbrush and have been mostly using it for priming in the cold dead winters, but haven't been able really to use it to basecoat like you do. I even got a "badger air brush company fine conversion" kit to try to narrow it down. Seems like no matter what I do, I spray way too much and too wide. Do I just have too itchy a trigger finger? Or are you using a lower PSI so you can hold the nozzle close to the mini? What's your secret?

    • @billiondollarclownfarm
      @billiondollarclownfarm  4 месяца назад +1

      I’m assuming it’s dual action? My friend had a single action airbrush that was basically like trying to paint with a rattle can and I didn’t even realize that was an option and it was kind of horrifying.
      I mess with psi a lot, I love my compressor it was like $160ish on amazon I think. Nothing that fancy but it lets me control the psi super well and has a second tank or whatever it’s called so it’s quiet periodically.
      Different sized needles might help you too! But psi is a massive help and could also be your issue. I go from 10-30ish usually depending on what I’m doing
