I’ve never reversed parked in my life. I watched this video a few times and then I was able to do it. On my third attempt to practice, I got it done. And I practiced on test day. I passed by the way.

Jullian Shines depends how to other person parked, but more than likely back bumper, most people don’t reverse park
I would say this is how truck drivers park because I usually have to go up about 2 spaces or my truck will be in the -1 spot 😂
I'm not expert but it seems like there is a lot more to know about parking than simply lining up with another spot ?

A thing that is shown on the car that is not mentioned, but helps a lot is the blind spot mirrors they attached tot he mirrors. Get those people, they are extremely helpful and cheap( got a good pair at Walmart for $2)

Just wondering, your method lines up your shoulder in the middle of spot number 3. I've seen others that would line up the cars side mirror with the parking line of number 3. What's the difference between using either of these reference points? will the car still reverse correctly? Thanks

i think when the car is smaller it should be aligned before the line- shoulder in the middle of the spot, and it would be a larger car then u should go more forward perhaps shoulder aligned with the line int hat case.

Suppose we have bigger car then how many spot we need to leave? Like we have Charger, that 3 spot is not working for me. Please explain me.
Imo, the more accurate reference point is the one you show in your method 2 video, although it still needs adjustment depending on car's size and parking space.

I failed my G2 test in Mississauga today.
Reason: "Dangerous action"
I was a bit late in driving 70 km/hr at Derry Road. I was driving 45 or something after the turn. The examiner told me this is 70 zone.
That's it. Rest my performance did not matter. I failed

I have a question that while back parking we should turn sterring wheel on right side one time or two times.
1:13 “align shoulder”? But isn’t sitting position a huge variable 🤷🏽♀️
Question? Is the 2 point reverse parking aloud in Ontario? Or has to be full reverse (no forward at all) as in video?
My problem is parking in my driveway reverse way.
If my end rear of my car is align with the line between 1 and 2 ..and I do it will it work?
You didn't mention about looking through the back window when reversing, which is mandatory in a road test. They may fail you if you skip that part.
Thanks for the observation! I have talked about doing a 360 degree scan which covers everything. And then at 1:40 I have mentioned about looking in the rear view mirror which takes care of the back view. I didn't mention about looking in the rear window because not everyone is skilled to reverse the car while looking back but if someone can they should. :)
Toronto Drivers What I want to say is that in a road test, the examiner wants the driver to turn around and look in the rear window wile backing up. I have been through a lot of road tests so far and I know what they expect.

Do you have to signal when backing up intot he space? Like if you are going into a space on the left when backing up do you use the left signal?
how far should the car be from the front of the parked car before we execute the reverse?
On my test day the examiner asked me to reverse park in the last slot so I didn’t have any lines to count, I didn’t know how to do the parking or how to adjust it
Should the car be in the middle of the road when reverse parking?
How close are you to the parking spots? Like right next to them or are you on the opposite side of the road

daniel hdz That might be either because you are turning the wheel too slow. Try to turn it fast all the way to the right until it locks! I will be making a video on this soon.
make sure you put yourself close to the middle of the aisle then you won't be too much to the left

christine boutin Thanks! Here's the reasons why you should use the parking brake.
If the car is hit while parked the parking brake will provide stability to the vehicle, and in most cases will prevent it from rolling away.
If the parking brake isn't used regularly, the cables, which are located under the car can corrode and get stuck in place. This can become a big problem, as you may not be able to use the brake or the cable will snap when you try to engage it.

Winnie Anand i wish I had the time to make a video however it is too short notice but do not worry too much about it. If you don't get it right in the first attempt then just try to fix it. You are allowed to correct the parking. Watch my video on correction if you need help. I hope you pass your test tomorrow. Good luck! ☺☺👍👍
Oh you got me wrong I have a month time for my test. I just saw the place where the test starts it is a very small parking and hence asked the question. Please help if you think you have time. Patrick Keogh Hi! :) For a van you want to go past the middle of the 3rd spot and align your shoulder with the second yellow line of the 3rd spot because vans are longer. Please try that and let me know how it goes. Good luck!

@1:20 should I still be stepping on the brake? Or I shouldn't release the brake before turning the wheel?
I generally advise releasing the brake but not everyone can do it comfortably as they take the foot off the brake completely and the car starts rolling back faster. In that case I tell them to turn the wheel with their foot on the brake. So you need to see what works better for you. On the test they don't care how you do it. 🙂🙂
