HW and the Sooze sit done and try to replicate the the KLON centaur with the Stomps and EQs in the Kemper. How close did we get? It's not perfect but it does that KLONE thing!
Check out our profiles at tonejunkiestor...
Need a Kemper? Check out the Tone Junkie Loaded Kemper available exclusively at British Audio! It's the same price as a non loaded Kemper but with tons of Tone Junkie Profiles!
I agree on the Klon being brighter. The Kemper preset sounds more boxy to my ears.
The “Kemper Klon” sounds smoother to me. I like that.
I felt like the Kemper Klon was close enough that a KLONE pedal could have even been further off.
Thanks Guys for the inspiring options, as, I often forget how much versatility we do have built right inside ,: to color the drives that are in the KPA. Sounds wonderful as always. Your Tips n Tricks Vids are so very helpful. !!!
Thanks for the support Jack! We plan to do a lot more of these. Matching to the Kemper is going to be fun!
Sounds great. Love this idea. Probably a klon kemper pedal will come out with an update and make this obsolete hahaha. But serious. Sounds amazing and I’ll be using it.
We hope that happens too!
Excellent work guys, I’ll be downloading tonight for sure!
Let us know how it works for you!
Great job guys. I think the Klon is maybe a little louder or has a little more clean poking through but they're darn close and plenty close to fool many, especially in a mix. I dig it.
Tweak it with your expert ears. I thought about what would happen if we added an input EQ before the green scream too. Sort of like and input and output EQ.
Nice, Id say you came pretty close! Speaking of Klon Centaur - as you have one, would be great to see a video where you compare it to cheaper clones, like EHX Sould Food etc. Anyways, great video!
Thanks saved that EQ preset on my kemper!!
Pretty damn close guys...keep the pedal matching ideas coming.
Wow, you guys got darn close. Well done! I can’t wait to try this effect preset out on my other profiles.
Missing the bottom end of what the Klon brings. Seems fuller with the real deal.
None is better than the other. It's just your mind playing games with you. Both sounds are just as good and equally usable.
HOLY.....dudes. That sounds SO good!
I think I like the Kemper Klon a little better. Brighter, almost sounds like it sustains a bit more, and best of all, free!!
With the purchase of a Kemper. 😁
FREE is the best price isn't it!!!
Nice!
You guys should do the same thing with the KoT
It's on our to do list!
Really gooood!! 😉
There's an old Kemper Forum thread about this topic:
www.kemper-amps.com/forum/index.php?thread/19439-klon-as-a-stomp/&postID=372957#post372957
tl;dr: Depending on how much gain you want out of it, you can get pretty close using either the Mouse, the One DS, or the Plus DS at very low gain settings with some judicious use of the Mix control. (The "Gritty Klone" setting on that post sounds *very* close to how I have my Klone dialed.)
Great job! Sounds awesome. I'm pretty new to being a Kemper owner but my church has used them as our amps for years. It feels like your breaking new ground with the effects profiling. Any idea if for instance the Bigsky could be profiled with say a Matchless amp as a verb patch?
Cheers guys. I've also found... Mouse. Drive 0-1. Tone 4-5. Mix 80%. Volume +2... Gets as near as need be with only one stomp.
When you match these pedals but then change simple settings on the pots with the kemper still enable the dial in. Or is it you move one simple thing and POW its all fecking gone?
awesome!!
It's so close that without A/B nobody could make the difference.
The Kemper can't profile 2 stacked distortions really well.
Sounds great guys! Are you using a powered cabinet, studio monitors etc with the KPS?
Rob Borody Hey Rob!! You are hearing the direct audio from the Kemper. We are using studio monitors in the room.
@@ToneJunkieTV It just sounds so huge! Really thinking about selling my tube amp and analog pedals I've spent so many countless hours studying and collecting for a KPS. Torn!
There can be a bit of a learning curve but in my opinion...it’s totally worth it. You thinking of a stage or a toaster or a rack?
@@ToneJunkieTV I'm not sure. I play mainly at church, so a KPS would be awesome. However, if I do gig at a bar a toaster with analog pedals would be better. Thanks for doing the Stu G profiles. He is the reason I started playing guitar. King of Fools/Mezza/Glo/Kingdom of Comfort are just stunners for me. Miss the d:? boys so much.
If you do end up picking up a Kemper, I recommend the Tone Junkie Loaded Kemper obviously. If you are checking out the stage, we have a deal thru British Audio where you get the Tone Junkie Everything Pack for Free with the Stage.
Did you happen to have the "Cut the Mix" preset Graphic EQ still in use before the stack on this?
thank you!!
You're welcome!
how do i contact you for purchasing ?
WHAT CENTAUR?!?!?!?!?!?!
This is my son, H.W.
