In this video I restore a german grease gun from Robert Seifferman Frankfurt. The antique tool is made entirely of brass. The vintage tool is made around the year 1900 and in fairly good condition, therefore I do a very gentle restorations with a focus on deep cleaning and polishing brass.
The tool is a gift for Mister Patina. His channel and inspiring work is always worth a click.
I found the grease gun in the cellar which I recently rented as my new workshop. I am glad that the project was not too complex, as i am currently very busy with the renovation of the new workshop.
The beertasting this time is personell, because I try a beer from my hometown.
So I'm happy the project is done and the video is ready. I hope you enjoy my content. Please subscribe, if you want to see my future work.

I wish I did remember but I don't. I remember the gun being used to squirt someone in the face and then grease got all over the floor and people started falling down exactly what you would expect from an old movie. I want to say it was an early Chaplin short film (before the ramp character) but I am not certain. Sorry.

Nicely done. A lovely job on the old grease gun. Just because something is old doesn’t mean it’s useless. I miss German beer. I got spoiled with it when I visited Germany on a few occasions. It's a question of definition. I do have a PhD and my family name is beer, but I didn't study beer brewing or tasting :)

A job well done, of course.
But I think that polishing is superfluous for such tools. Scratches and greasy dirt are too visible on it. Satin is a more suitable surface treatment.

Yes I knew you wouldn't be convinced about this. One day I will make one without polish just for you. Best regards

It only shows that you don't need a fancy workshop and tools to do restorations. Great work, keep it up, but... cut a bit down these special effects, this is a video about restoration of a forgotten and neglected tool, not a Star Wars look-a-like :)

Hey Daniel I'm sorry you didn't like it. I wanted to let my subscribers know, that I have a workshop now and I try out new editing ways in my videos, to see what you guys like.
I added chapters in the description, so you can skip it if you don't like it.
Have a great day. Maybe you come back to my channel some time
