For reals! I remember all the hate and comments towards her…. I never really understood the hate towards the Fords tbh. They weren’t afraid to spend money on players and coaches and they don’t mettle in the football affairs like Jerry Jones or Al Davis. I think the whole notion that they didn’t care about winning was bologna. Either way I’m glad things have improved drastically under Sheila’s ownership. It certainly looks and feels like they actually are turning the corner by doing things the right way. No more copying other teams. No more retread coaches and players. And god forbid no more Patriots Way! LFG!!!!
She deserves credit. If I could hug her, I would. She gives me hope.
She has shown over these past couple seasons that she is a student of the game and is willing to take a back seat and let brad and DC do what she hired them to do and will her full support behind them, she is the new mold for how a team owner needs to run a team

This is the Lions team I've been waiting for for the past 25 years. Brad and Dan are the real deal and the leadership that Sewell (22 years old) and St. Brown (23 years old) are already showing is so huge for our team and our culture. Nobody is going to be able to come in and half ass anything... we've finally got something going here. Can't wait for next season!
Penei is the face of this turn around for me. Previous regimes wouldn't have selected that monster. Brad Holmes is the man!

I waited my whole life for a Lions team like this one; with this mindset, chemistry and attitude. I was around for Barry, and I am ready for that Championsip #OnePride
The team's biggest huddle is consistency. If they can maintain what they did last season and don't burn out and disappoint, then this team will go somewhere in the NFC.

I was a lions fan growing up in the midwest and spent my childhood watching Matt Stafford throw to Calvin Johnson, some of my favorite football moments in life were spent watching this team. I love the direction this team is going and to see them finally doing things the right way to build from within is special. The culture and leadership on the team is paramount to their success. I cant imagine anyone not wanting to run through a wall for MCDC.

Sheila has been the perfect owner. She had to overcome a lot of hate that Lions fans had. Unlike previous Fords, Sheila is a fierce competitor who knows how to be a great leader and genuinely puts her heart into it.

It was great to feel good about the team again. Been a fan since I started following them in 1961. This team has been lost for a long time and I had given up on them for so many years. Bad drafts. Bad free agency signings. Bad management. Bad decisions. I hope they are all in the past. I am 71 and would love to see a SB before I die.

Feels so weird even thinking it. But I'm all in on Brad and Dan. These 2 are legit, brads gotta amazing eye for talent and MCDC is the definition of "leader of men". I fully expect them to push for the NFC next year. Eagles and 9ers are the only NFC teams who'll have higher odds going into the year.
I’ve been a hater of the Ford family for the resentment they had on this team, as soon as I heard Shelias interview in October being 1-6, they was the first time I felt a difference with the ownership. I actually felt she gave a damn and acknowledged the fans emotions and I truly loved that.
Sheila is nothing like her family, she wants to win, and she shows it and did a clean house.

i AM 76 yrs young and have been a Lions for since 1955 when i was 9 yrs old, and I have suffered through many many disappointing years but like most fans always said wait till next year, well this is the only time I really feel this team is for real they have the right people at the top from Holmes to Campbell the owner Shelia scouts, etc, I cannot wait for this season to start, Go LIons. Being a die hard Detroit fan not jus lions, but pistons, red wings and tigers it’s been hard to watch what the ford family did to Barry and Calvin.I’m 43 so grew up watching her old man jus go thru motions with lions. As a 49ers fan I gotta say that if we played the Lions in the wild card this past season instead of the Seahawks I guaranteed it would’ve been a much harder matchup. I would’ve been genuinely afraid my team wouldn’t have pulled through cause the Lions were rolling in the second half of the season

I'm not even a Lion's fan but I have the utmost respect for this organization. From letting Stafford go play for the Rams so he could win a SB, the friendly and passionate fans, and genuine ownership you just gotta love em! Even Calvin Johnson is still involved with the Lion's to this day says a lot about they cared enough to make it right with him
