Damn this Conquest Chronograph is gorgeous but just like with the 'regular' conquest 2023 rework I wish they offered a smaller version too. If Longines could make the regular Conquest in 38 or 39mm and the chrono in 40 just like their heritage record this would appeal to the smaller wristed part of the world as well. You can buy clothing in different sizes, why do watch manifacturers need to wait a year to release a different size for the same watches? At least Longines is releasing different colours straight away so props to them for that ;)

Difficult to choose my favourite watch but it’s between my sapphire sandwich speedy, on top of all of that heritage, the window on that movement is spectacular, And my Longines spirit titanium, which is so light, and the metal has an aged dull look about it. In certain positions the hands remind me of an airplane propeller. Both watches have sentimental meaning to me. I’m going to say the spirit, but ask me again next week and I’ll probably change back to the speedmaster.

    Harrison, great review!
A couple of things that I love about this watch that I don't think you mentioned. The faceting on the outer rim of the crystal enhances the seconds track which is a slick feature on a chronograph where precision timing is key.
Also the lower part of the bezel affixed to the main case is angled towards the center of the watch and polished adding an awesome detail to the bezel.
Couldn't agree more about the clasp. Very disappointed with it considering the Spirit clasp comes on a cheaper watch and is much better. I went ahead and swapped mine out with a rally strap.
Thanks for the review! They are lacking on RUclips for this model.

I hope that when it arrives, I connect with it personally & fashionably. This was the ONLY ONE of its kind that I found in that style and model. I had Google look for one, and everyone is sold out. Do think calling it a budget Daytona does it a disservice. I see it in the looks, however, Longines made the first ever chronograph for both pocket- and wrist watches. Including the first with two pushers, the first fly-back and the first that was waterproof. Intense stuff. If there is a brand that can hold the complication with pride it's Longines!
They had the first quarts time keeping instrument for sports purposes too & Longines was the timekeeper at Formula One races before it was called Formula One. In that sense Longines has a history in sports timekeeping that Rolex could only dream of.
Really don't think Longines get the attention it deserves given how important it was for watch world as a whole and given who wore their watches. Even Albert Einstein wore one.
I am not hating on Rolex, please don't get me wrong. Rolex took good ideas and executed them to a level not seen before. Their quality still is second to none to this day. Rolex also is a marketing powerhouse that probably dragged the entire industry forwards after the quartz crisis. I think that is what makes Rolex special.
Personally would wear it on a leather strap and forget about the bracelet all together though. I just don't like the look of the bracelet to begin with. Perhaps I'm just a shill for the oyster bracelet, maybe.

Longines just keep hitting it out of the park. They're the most exciting watch brand now IMO. The only thing I dislike about this watch are the thick lugs. They remind me of the ugly Rolex maxi cases.

    Surprised there’s not a green - especially a mint or a pistachio - variant

No joke they are releasing hit after hit. I didn't pay attention to Longines until the Zulu Time but everything they have released since then has been killer.

It's cool and all, but I might just go Tudor BB Chrono or Heritage Chrono.

You have to get lucky to obtain a perfect fit with butterfly clasps, also these prices are leaving me behind..

Love Longines :) I go to stores like Tudor Omega Rolex and Breitling and always end up in Longines..
I don't know why I thinks they are better than Longines..
Feel kind of guilty and stupid.
So long story short I own Longines and probably will buy them more :)

It is probably cuz Longines offers the best value for money among the other Swiss brands. I would call it the Swiss Grand seiko brand. I own 3 and am thinking of this as the 4th...

Burnt orange subs and inner ring. Worth mocking up at least.

That’s not going for a Daytona,
That’s going for the black bay chronograph.
I think they’re trying to do omega and longines versus Rolex and Tudor.

You've lost me at 14.3mm thickness.
Is it really that hard to create a 40mm case with a movement as thin as Daytona?
