Do motorcycle blind spot mirrors really work to eliminate dangerous blindspots? In this video, I put a pair on my Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 and give them a go.

I picked up some rectangular ones. They were only a few bucks a piece. 1” tall and 2” wide. They work great.
Very nice Bryan. Wish mine were a little bigger. Thanks for commenting and hope you’ve subscribed.
Well done, one of the few who place them in the right spot.
I use them on both of my road bikes.
They're so easy. Don't know why more people don't use them. Thanks for your comment, hope you subscribed!
Yes, they're so cheap and easy and helpful. Not sure why more people don't ride with them. Thanks for commenting. Hope you subscribe!
this is a life saver
where did you buy your bike rectangular side mirror?
I tried several different blindspot mirrors with limited success. Don't buy too cheap, as the glass is irregular making it hard to see clearly. The stock mirrors on the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 are good enough for "average-sized" riders but large or tall riders will have issues with arms and shoulders preventing a clear view to the rear. I purchased two different handlebar mounted mirrors, including an expensive pair with convex glass. I ended up buying mirrors for the Kawasaki Versys 650. They are relatively inexpensive, sit a bit lower and wider than stock Vulcan mirrors.
Good to know. I may try 1.75" diameter blind spot mirrors before it's all done. The 1 1/8" work, but I wish they were a bit bigger.
Good video. Are they definitely best fitted top right? I've seen other people suggesting bottom left where the view is sometimes blocked by your arm.
I think the "best" spot to apply the mirrors will vary with the rider. You may want to "adhere" them with some tape and give them a quick try before you truly mount them. Let us know how things work for you. Hope you subscribed. -Tripp
@@trippontwowheels I mounted them top far away corner, they can be swivelled, it seems the perfect location, can see everything, thanks for the video
@@peterscuba And thank you for watching. And commenting!
Got them on both mirrows as in England and in Europe riding
Here in WA 80% of m/c crashes involve lone bikes. No cars.
That's a very interesting fact and one that I wouldn't have suspected. Any ideas on why this may be? Thanks for your comment givstrom and I sure hope you subscribe.
I think what he meant to say, but was too polite to say it, 'that's a really interesting fact but, what the hell does that have to do with blind spot mirrors?' because I can't see why you would even come up with that fact on a video about blind spot mirrors, the list, as he said, wasn't in a specific, to fact, order but it was a general order, why would you think literally, are you a teenager? 🙄🤦
What about placing them on the inside of the mirror?
The visibility they provide may not be as good, but feel free to try them anywhere on the mirror. The further out they are, the more effective they should be.
So simple you'd never think of it. Cheap at $7.
want to add to my harley...
Do they work?
Jackson Woodard Why yes, they do. :)
Where did you buy this small one?
I bought them from Revzilla or Cycle Gear. Please don't buy them, they ended up being horrible. You want to get larger ones with metal backs and real glass. You can find them amazon.com or from other online dealers. Thanks for your question, I hope you subscribe. -Tripp
@@trippontwowheels Thanks for your detailed answer. Already subscribed.
Kind small ...I prefer bigger convex mirrors ...
Limitless 1 Indeed they are/were. They also turned out to be junk although they do work. I’ve acquired a larger pair of 2” mirrors I’ll be installing shortly. Thanks for your comment Limitless! Hope you subscribe. -Tripp
5th riding in the middle of a road's lane,, oil
Agreed. Sadly, I'm guilty of this often. Hope you'll subscribe!
Personally I try to use lanes to the maximum and widen my view ahead by going to the sides, i thought it was an unwritten law, why would anyone sit in the middle of lane ffs?
