Hi. I applied yesterday Carpro forte on my windscreen and today in light shower I have to use my wipers amd that was about 20 hours after aplication. My wipers start skipping. Someone suggest using Reload. Should I? Can you suggest why this happen? Feels like to me glass is to dry to wipe. Tom
Yes, that is the correct recommendation - Reload on the wipe blades and let dry 1 hour should solve it. The reason this happens is due to the co-efficient of friction between 2 materials in combination of the amount of tension on the cantilevered arm of a windshield wiper. In other words there are 2 factors at play. A. - There are a few different materials or types of "rubber" that wiper blades are made from and some of them do not slide as well on ceramic coating. B. - Wiper arms are a variety of different lengths with a variety of different tension on the wiper blade base. If a wiper blade has very LITTLE tension to hold the blade against the glass then the compounding of these 2 factors can cause skipping. Reload changes that by making the wiper slide better.
@@tenzin044 Ok, if you have Elixir then this should work also. Or anything that can be applied to rubber that will not streak on glass. Let us know if we may assist further.
How often can you use this product? How does this relate or compare to the Hydro2 lite product? Are they used together? Or is only one used because they are basically equivalent?
You would only use this OR Hydro2 at any given time. You can use either product as often as you like but generally they last 2 ~ 6 months. Some will use this more often because it adds gloss and darkens paint. I would not use them together.
@@SkyCarCare So I was thinking of putting reload on first at the beginning of the driving season for my summer only car, and then from there using hydro2 foam every 3rd wash or something….And then Elixir here and there as a detailer. Would that be reasonable idea?
@@dlj1285 I would say that is reasonable assuming the car is not real hydrophobic at the time of the Hydro2 applicaiton. Hydro2 likes to be applied to a wet car and its hard to keep it wet if it is beading real well. If you DO choose to use Hydro2 on a car that is already beading well then you are better off using Hydro2 Foam instead of the spray.
@@SkyCarCare So the car will have a freshly installed full body STEK Dynoshield PPF (which has built in ceramic supposedly). Immediately hit that with a good base of reload, and then the hydro2 FOAM every couple or few weeks beyond that. Elixar mixed in from time to time. This was what I was thinking.
Do i just wash my car and then do this after i dry it? I have a 2022 tucson and dont want to mess it up. I have iron remover but I'm afraid to use it cuz I'm afraid its going to strip coating..please help
Reload you can use after drying, or even during drying although I wouldn't use my drying towel with it. If you have CQUARTZ and IronX then you don't have to worry. CARPRO designed it to specifically remove brake dust without any damage to coating. What will damage the coating is letting contaminants build up.

I've had my Panamera PPF'd entirely including roof, windshields and headlights around a month back; so my PPF has a hydrophobic coating and it's very good so far. Can I use Reload to top up the hydrophobicity and moreover do you recommend using CarPro Skin as well? I'm just torn between which one to choose - Reload2.0/HydrO2 Lite/Elixir.
Hello my friend! Thank you so much! Yes you can... I understand it can be overwhelming with all the choices. You can most certainly use Reload. The other two work as well. I would eliminate Hydro2 from the choice since it is coated. Hydro2 works best on a wet surface and it is hard to keep the coated surface wet... SO Choices are "Hydrofoam, Elixir, or Reload". Reload or Elixir to me are basically just a matter of preference... You cannot go wrong with either. Some prefer one and others prefer the other. Really no difference in protection if used regularly on top of a coating or at least not enough to matter imo in this case. More important which you prefer for ease of use and appearance. Hydrofoam is the easiest option IF you wish to just do this "topping up" during the wash phase in which case I wash with Reset the entire car, rinse, and then while still wet, apply some hydrofoam directly to mitt and wipe on 2-3 panels, rinse off, move to next panels.... Dry all off once complete. Hopefully I didnt make it even more confusing! I would do this... pick between Reload and Hydrofoam based on how you like to apply... wiping off (Reload) or rinsing off (Hydrofoam). - Corey

On another note, what drives me nuts is right after a thorough wash, the brakes immediately rust up and leave these rusty ‘droppings’ inside the wheel barrels. It’s just so annoying. Is Hyde’s Rustopper the only one available to alleviate this or are there any other brands who make it, let’s say for Koch Chemie or CarPro?

so i finally decided to go with Elixir and tried it out on my car. It works really well and easy to apply once the car is clean and dry. I also bought both the Hydr02 foam and lite! I will test them out soon, but I know Elixir might overall be better in terms of adding gloss. I've already had people ask me whether I've had my car polished after applying Elixir! ;) I can feel the slickness also when running a microfibre towel on the car..before Elixir it would be as if someone is applying brakes on the towel..but Elixir it somehow glides along the body of the car. The vendor I bought the products from recommended me not go with Reload since it's considered more of a professional grade product as the car needs to the polished and panel wiped before appyling Reload. @@SkyCarCare
I applied cquarz and then gliss as toper and is amazing, but I bought the cquarz and it comes with reload, can I use reload on top of cquarz+gliss? Or it doesn't make sense? Or should I apply it in couple of months? Thanks a lot
@@Stayclassy65 Yes it will help against oxidation, however once the OEM car has been polished off of headlights, nothing aftermarket really seems to keep it off for good. Reload helps but now and then will need a light polish.
Hmmm, I am pretty sure that is your environment. Guessing you live in Nevada or somewhere below 50% humidity or else using high static towels. Here in Florida we have never had any dust issues with either version so I am probably not a good judge of it being any better. My guess is it will be similar. Here we don't see any dust sticking but never did. - Corey

Correct, Wash, Decon, Polish, Panel wipe, Reload. Unless it is coated in which case you do not polish

No, you do not need to dilute it but you can if you want.

Either one will work. Usually dry but if you want an even easier application and do not care as much about durability then a damp towel.
