I’m not too far into my gcse art but so far I can honestly say I love it and I’m so happy that I took it. If you love art take it because it’s such a rewarding subject! Xx
You have really inspired me for when I do my art GCSE next year in year 10. Now I understand more about what you do in art and that you have to explore more art than you own. Thank you :) xx
I like A level art, it’s just sometimes I don’t have time to do many drawings due to my other subjects consuming any frees i have. Im glad that we dont have an exam in the first year.
Art isn’t so stressful in year ten. It’s only once you get your themes book for the exam in January does the stress kick in because you have around three/four/five months to complete all your work depending on what exam board your in and as soon as you fall behind you have to work so hard to catch up. Lmao. It’s me. I’m so behind and my exam is in april
You know its always the subjects everyone thought were going to be fun and easy and instead they are the most tiring, hardest and stressful lessons in the world.
I'm currently doing year 10 art GCSE, everyone was given a grade, based on work that was finished (if it wasn't finished, it didn't count) and I stayed after school multiple times, went to Art Club, we were told that we should really be doing art for 10 hours a fortnight, but we only have 5, which sucks. My friend who is really good, only got a D because nothing was done, even though it was high quality. But staying after school paid off as I got a B+, which is good considering I should improve (hopefully). Currently we're all over the place, doing our own work, annatations, teachers assignments, completing stuff, observational drawing, etc. We haven't done any experimentation and i hate doing art on A3 paper (wayyy too big) Art is soo hard, i used to love art but its gotten stressful and terrible. Im preparing for 4 english exams at the start of December, along with a Religious studies exam, im doing a physics, chemistry and maths test on Thursday and i am soo anxious, i have a presentation tomorrow, along with a parents evening, but I need to get a good grade if I want to be an Interior designer 😥 Also, if your considering doing art. Do it. All subjects are hard, art is no exception. But if it will help you achieve your dreams, do it. I'm taking it because it's required that I need 5 GCSEs A-C, one being art, if I want my dream job. Take onto account what skills your future job will need and research it. If your unsure, ask the teachers, they'll help 😄

Holly Chambers go for it honestly! if you really enjoy art like me it’s so much fun but don’t pick it if you don’t really like it bc then it could be stressful. if you actually like art and enjoy doing it outside of school then it’s a great subject!!
I loved art before i took it for GCSE and I'm in yr 11 mow and I HATE it so i would recommend only do it if you're prepared to work on it loads outside school and you are absolutely certain but otherwise I would just do it as a hobby outside school
I hate what I’m doing for my year 10 final piece. We have to base it off an artist and it sucks. I wish we could just do whatever we wanted with our final piece.
I’m in year 10 and no one in my class has art as good as u , in my school like nobody really try’s and it’s just such a chill lesson , well it can be stressful but I’m so glad I took it
I have 2 A3 sketch books one half full and the other I’m working in currently and I have 2 A4 sketch books and they both have like 10 pages left each. (We has one sketch book per unit). Art is stressful but I bloody LOVE it.
You got it so easy woah. Per unit we have 4 artists and have to do research for each one in as much depth as possible. Then for each artist we had to do 10 photos and annotate them, create a piece of practical work, annotate it, write a comparison and then 5 ideas and 2 developments and then an evaluation. The annotations kill me.
Your at work is amazing but I need help could you tell me the artist that you used for the one at 3:26 idk what artists you used and I really like it I’m wanting to do it for my gcse art
This video has inspired me massively I’m currently doing our own choice project to what we want to do for our final grade and this has helped me narrow it down massively so thankyou x
I’m choosing my GCSE’s in early 2019 and I’m not sure what to do cooking or art because I have always loved art but lost interest in yr 7 but only just got in to cooking, wondering if you have any opinions x Btw love your channel so much 🥰💗 x
Don’t do art unless you plan on doing something art related later in life, it will literally take up all of your time and it’s the most stressful thing in the world
don't do cooking I do it now and its so much harder than you think, you have to do controlled investigations within a 10 hour Time period and for the final practical there is so much writing involved x
I think art is better because art is basically marked by your teacher then just checked by a moderator but they tend to just agree with what the teacher has given you , I’m not sure about cooking though.
It depends what future you want and if it doesn't include cooking or art then choose either, you've just got to remember that you're gonna be doing it for 2 years and although art can be stressful, cooking is heavy on time pressure so it depends on how you react to certain situations, talk to your teachers because they are the only other people who sorta know how you work (except yourself) and they'd probably be most helpful xx

This is amazing! I'm on my second year of art gcse finishing off lol. How did you draw/produce your titles in your sketch book and what did you focus your analysis on? :))
I don’t know if this was the same for you but I’m doing art gcse and it seems quite different to yours...we get given quite a strict brief and vaguely told what to do. This is a good thing for me because when it comes to art most of the problem is knowing/thinking of what to draw.
I’ve just started my art coursework and I really don’t know who to draw for my portrait/self-portrait unit 1. I’m really not the best at drawing...like atall 2.I’m tooo ugly to draw myself Ahhhhhhhhh

I absolutely love your work your so creative . I was wondering what you use to colour your girls is it pro markers xx
CONGRATS! I got an 8 in art too. Your work looks insane xx
Can u go through how u did then sketch and the backgrounds cause I've chose art for a gcse as I'm in year 9 the first year of our gcse year xx
Same! I have to do a TON of portraits though, hbu?
@@thevoid3976 yeah we do like Cameron Diaz in pencil and colour and this old guy doing pointalism
You know how you guys have 3 years to do this course , in my school we do art as a 1 year course , so I have to do all course work in one year , btw I’m only in year 9 and it’s my first year doing gcses . In year 9 everyone has to do a language and an option in my school , I’m doing Spanish
Hamdi Mohamed I have chosen french and we get 3 years to do all our coursework
aw i did portraits for my unit 1 and it was so bad i did almost entirely realism which took ages
I go to an art college, we are always being told that our art can never be wrong but in GCSE everything I did was supposedly wrong
I’m not too far into my gcse art but so far I can honestly say I love it and I’m so happy that I took it. If you love art take it because it’s such a rewarding subject! Xx
You deserved that grade, thanks for sharing!
Oh my god I am going to fail. You've done SO MUCH WORK and I have done none whatsoever
You're such a cool artist! We only get a year to do option subjects and it's really stressful ;-;
How did you learn your calligraphy? It’s so good and I’d really like to be able to write like that xx
You have really inspired me for when I do my art GCSE next year in year 10. Now I understand more about what you do in art and that you have to explore more art than you own. Thank you :) xx
Lmao art is so stressful. I spent 5 hours during the weekends to perfect my work and I got one mark of an A* so I was kind of frustrated
Haha I'm doing art for A level because i got a grade 9 but I'm regretting it
im doing a level art rn and its actually not bad
me too omg
I like A level art, it’s just sometimes I don’t have time to do many drawings due to my other subjects consuming any frees i have. Im glad that we dont have an exam in the first year.
Cuban Cucumber hey how was it overall bcos I’m now in year 12 and taking alevel art I got a 9 !
Loved seeing your work! I studied art all through school, college and foundation and then fashion at uni and loved every second ❤️❤️
OMG thank you for doing this vid! It's a life saver! You're work has given me so many ideas as well as inspiration!
omg i love twiggy i’ve started to recreate her modelling portfolio i love that drawing! & overall your coursework is incredible xxx
12 GCSEs!! Wow!
You’re really tallented and artistic 😍
Also you’re so pretty! 💗
Was all the work in the sketchbook based on identity? Xxx
Ebony Xo every unit has a different topic xx
My theme is identity
Mine is as well
Queenie is backkkkk👑🙌🏼😍
Was gonna ask if you can do this video hahaha , love it Hun x
At 16:14, did you use acrylic paint for the galaxy background ? 🤩😍
You know its always the subjects everyone thought were going to be fun and easy and instead they are the most tiring, hardest and stressful lessons in the world.
Grade 8 is impressive, that end course work was very good. Well done xx
Im preparing for 4 english exams at the start of December, along with a Religious studies exam, im doing a physics, chemistry and maths test on Thursday and i am soo anxious, i have a presentation tomorrow, along with a parents evening, but I need to get a good grade if I want to be an Interior designer 😥
Also, if your considering doing art.
I don't know if it's the same for every school but my school for expressive arts the options are either art, drama,PE or music.i love art but the pressure is too much I would rather do it in my spare time as a hobby than spend my whole weekend doing art homework especially in year 11when I have to revise for my GCSEs. I think people in my school that take music are the luckiest and I never see them stressing over homework or anything. people that take PE are always in the library revising for an assessment almost every week and drama is the worst it's basically another form of English plus learning scripts and doing 2000 words essay for homework about how lighting is used in a play .Art is just time consuming especially in year 11 so if I can go back in time I would choose music tbh.
Now I’m questioning wether I should still pick art or not 😂😬
Which school did you go to? Also I’m doing gcse art and I’m regretting it. I got a projected attainment grade of a 6. And I’m really disappointed 😕
Katie x it really depend on the school tbh, my school didn’t do me justice and I ended up with a grade 6 when I know I’m so much better. I go to art college now and my work is no worse than my friends in college who got grade 9s, they just happened to go to better schools than me :) good luck and I’m sure you’re doing amazing ❤️
Keep on trying and have faith in yourself xx
I was predicted a grade 5 and ended up with a grade 9 so just keep going !!! x
Lara Brookes my school predicted the art grade based on our English and maths SATs🤣
I was predicted a 5 & got an 8 so don't trust what your teachers say all the time x
im thinking of doing art gcse but everyone is saying its so stressful so im not sure now
Holly Chambers go for it honestly! if you really enjoy art like me it’s so much fun but don’t pick it if you don’t really like it bc then it could be stressful. if you actually like art and enjoy doing it outside of school then it’s a great subject!!
Holly Chambers if you love art definitely do it, it’s such a good subject and the coursework for me doesn’t seem like work because I love it so much:)
I loved art before i took it for GCSE and I'm in yr 11 mow and I HATE it so i would recommend only do it if you're prepared to work on it loads outside school and you are absolutely certain but otherwise I would just do it as a hobby outside school
Natalie D if you could choose another subject what would it be
@curlyyprincess Well i already do french, geog, drama and tripple science so maybe business studies?
so glad I dropped art,,,,
Kaylie K my school wont let me drop it 😩
I wish you would make a art book of your sketchbooos these are gorgeous ❤
I hate what I’m doing for my year 10 final piece. We have to base it off an artist and it sucks. I wish we could just do whatever we wanted with our final piece.
My exam board is going to be AQA!!!
Popcorn Popstar same
there’s only like 4 anyway
Mate I can’t even draw a stick man 😂😂
I’m in year 10 and no one in my class has art as good as u , in my school like nobody really try’s and it’s just such a chill lesson , well it can be stressful but I’m so glad I took it
Wow! Looks amazing! I was wondering what instrument you play for gcse music and do you have any tips? Thank You! Ly
Fairy Sam i sang for mine, and i’d say just spend as much time on your coursework as you can do x
Charlotte Victoria Beeden thank you so much! X
I have 2 A3 sketch books one half full and the other I’m working in currently and I have 2 A4 sketch books and they both have like 10 pages left each. (We has one sketch book per unit). Art is stressful but I bloody LOVE it.
FEEL LIKE IVE GOT NO WORK COMPARED TO YOU AHHHHHHH
I am currently in yr 11 about to finish my Art GCSE and I'm currently on an 8 my teachers want me to get a 9 by the end.
I’m stressed now and reading these comments is making me think if I take art I’ll be really really stressed but I really want to take it :/
You got it so easy woah. Per unit we have 4 artists and have to do research for each one in as much depth as possible. Then for each artist we had to do 10 photos and annotate them, create a piece of practical work, annotate it, write a comparison and then 5 ideas and 2 developments and then an evaluation. The annotations kill me.
Your hair is absolutely amazing...Do you have a tutorial?
I was in love with your calligraphy😍!
Your at work is amazing but I need help could you tell me the artist that you used for the one at 3:26 idk what artists you used and I really like it I’m wanting to do it for my gcse art
This is so great Charlotte!! Luv your outfit x
You’re amazing Charlotte you can tell how hard you work it’s so inspirational💗💗xx
Your drawings and artwork are OUTSTANDING ❤️❤️
2:36 Dosen’t the drawing look like sommer ray?
I misss art so much I did it all throughout secondary and alevel. I wanna go back, I mean it was bloody stressful but I loved it.
Good luck to all revising ! You gonna be just brilliant! 🎓🎓
Wowww, you’ve given me so many ideas for my art gcse! Xx
This video has inspired me massively I’m currently doing our own choice project to what we want to do for our final grade and this has helped me narrow it down massively so thankyou x
For I'm GCSE I choose art and photograph and business and enterprise I'm in year 9 love your videos
I’m jealous of your work, you had such an interesting theme
I got a C in my Art GCSE's but I'm still proud of the progress I've made within my art work :)
I’m choosing my GCSE’s in early 2019 and I’m not sure what to do cooking or art because I have always loved art but lost interest in yr 7 but only just got in to cooking, wondering if you have any opinions x
Btw love your channel so much 🥰💗 x
Do whichever one you love the most💗💗
Don’t do art unless you plan on doing something art related later in life, it will literally take up all of your time and it’s the most stressful thing in the world
don't do cooking I do it now and its so much harder than you think, you have to do controlled investigations within a 10 hour Time period and for the final practical there is so much writing involved x
This actually really helped because I am going to be taking GCSE in art so thank you xx
I'm in year 10 and its already too much, I have no time to art whilst balancing my subjects, she gives us a week to do everything which really stresses me out. I love art but I'm quite a stressy and nervous person so art is really problematic
i found this video really calming and relaxing when you said that u didnt really like them i was like I CANNOT DRAW TO SAVE MY LIFE but then again art is more complicated than you think.
I’m doing an early GCSE in Art & Sculpture. Such helpful tips! Ty xx
i just chose art actually and wanted to see what its going to be like; i know its very stressful and not an ‘easy subject’ like everyone says but its a very strong passion of mine so im so excited. your work is amazing too wow!
I’m going to be picking my options soon and I want to do art. Your art work is amazing it’s actually inspired me so much! 💓
Just a question was your head of year mr wag staff?
1:38 IS THAT MARK POWELLS WORK. cos I’m doing him for my gcse work atm ahahah
Your art is amazing! My sketchbook looks like shit and i really wish i could restart it :/
Hi Charlotte,Your art is SO Insane I am considering GCSE Art and am looking for some advice on whether to take it or not because I am doing very academic subjects and want something that I can look back on and feel really proud of myself. Your SO,SO gorgeous and should be so proud of your results and dedication to your education it amazes me.I love you so much and am so looking forward to seeing you at your performance next week xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Im in year9 doing gcse (our school makes us do them a year early) i chose art, and yeh it takes alot of free time and it can be stressful BUT it can be fun and inspiring since u get to try alot of techniques and explore different materials. I suggest doing it in my opinion:)
so im in year 10 but you seem to have so much more variety in your coursework than what im doing right now? we started out sketchbooks about two weeks into the first term and we've only completed like 5 pages as a class together being drawing skills, shading skills, biro skills, paint skills and then the introduction to the first unit we chose. i want to add more to get a better grade but one of my art teachers is really strict and i dont want her to get tRiggered at me for adding some more to my pages :)) not very fresh but your art is really amazing and i hope i get a grade like yours for my gcse
I’m doing art and woah it’s a lot of coursework I really need to catch up Thanks for this video 🥰💜
I love ur art work its amazing
How are you so talented?! Also, you looked rather mature for an eight grader.
Could you do some videos with your bullet journal xx
Art comes easily to me, idk why. I find it so calming to just let out all my emotions into a piece of work. Idk I guess I just don’t find it stressful
You're artwork is amazing!Did u take graphic art or fine art? xx
I already have a grade 6. I’m only in year 8 but I hope I do get better as I’m picking art for one of my options
I’ve just started my art coursework and I really don’t know who to draw for my portrait/self-portrait unit
1. I’m really not the best at drawing...like atall
2.I’m tooo ugly to draw myself
Ahhhhhhhhh
emma greenshields im kinda ugly so i just edited my work more
