Amenadiel can't go down; he doesn't have his wings anymore
In Lucifer's mind God put Chloe there for him, which means that her feelings aren't real. Even if she thinks they are real, it was never her choice to love him. She was forced to. So he thinks he's finally giving her, her choice. Which is complete bullshit but nobody ever said Lucifer was smart.
when Ella showed in her girly tights pajamas she told "thank I wore some clothes to come here" meaning she sleeps naked usually but she still the genius at the lab

The Professor didn't need Lucifer's permission to leave his Hell loop. The only cell that was locked was his mother's. Every other cell in Hell is open. If the Professor could feel that his good deed was enough to make up for what he had done, he would have been able to walk right out. The Hell in this show is literally of the damned souls own making, sustained by the guilt the soul carries within them. He could one day walk free from the loop, if he can bring himself to feel forgiven. Lucifer gave him a way out, but his own guilt kept him there.
In my opinion, this episode has Amenadiel's sexiest moment ever. When he pushes everyone aside and then braces himself against the doorframe (while that music is playing).... SMOKING HOT. :D
I love Lucifer making this sacrifice (even after finding out what he has about Chloe), and I love each person (Linda, Maze, Amenadiel, Dan, Ella, even Mom) helping in their own way to save Chloe. I love the emotional conflict for Lucifer : his brother when he goes back to Hell -- Tom Ellis plays the intensity and horror (of stabbing him over and over again) so damn well. And the peak of the episode, with the music and the urgency of it all, as they try to save Chloe and simultaneously bring Lucifer back... I love it. It's just such a good episode all around.

You're wrong about Luficer not helping the doctor in hell because he didn't want to. He didn't help because even Lucifer doesn't have the power to set somebody free from hell. Besides if you rewatch the sequence in hell Lucifer states that a soul can only leave hell only when the guilt is gone. Also he didn't actually promise to help the guy. Lucifer said: "If you help me save her, PERHAPS your guilt MIGHT be alleviated".
