Julia Fischer is a very, very, very good violinist. Yet, today, there are plenty of them, there never has been a time where there were so many top notch soloists. Her rendering of this first movement of the rain sonata is astounding. Yet, today, she is not the only one who can pull it off like that. There are also more and more mind blowing prodigies (don't know if Julia was one, but it is probable). I am super interested, since months now, in that super prodigy Japanese girl, who by now, the whole world knows, I think.
