What a great idea. Would love to see any other images you capture there in the future. This would be ideal for bird photographers that can't "get out" anymore and they could do this in their garden.
Perhaps the solution to the leaning forward and tipping the hide problem with a shorter lens is to add a 5" monitor on top the camera. I have such. For me, it makes for much better composition than peeping into a tiny viewfinder anyway.
Hi what a lovely video, i bought my husband a reflected pool and what fantastic photos he has been able to take . I loved to see the Robin, i hope it comes back so we can see it's red breast forming. Thankyou for sharing this lovely video
Excellent and very informative as always , I seem to be having the same issues with my D750 and thought it was the lens but seeing this it could be the same. Where did you have yours repaired if you don’t mind me asking.
Hi Darrell, what make is that hide please? Im looking to get another but i think you might have the 2 man version of what I have..I think mine is a Nitehawk...Cheers!

Glad it was enjoyable.
Hi Darrell. Some lovely photos of the Blackbirds. The photos of the birds without the reflection really looked natural. Thanks Jon and Sandra
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! Makes me want to get a reflection pool in my backyard here in Canada. Your shots are awesome!
It was a relative simple build. this video is a few years old but this is when I made it. ruclips.net/video/jKYc3kBNHOo/видео.html

Many thanks!
Really enjoyed this. Thank you👍👍

Well done Darrell, a lot of hard work paid off. thanks for sharing.
Thanks 👍
Nicely done. I would move the pool/table further away from that hedge though to get a smoother background.
I did consider this but I didn't have a lot more room and I like the slightly less completely out of focus background.
Hi I'd like to know where you got that pop up hide from, I'd like to get one myself! Thanks
Thanks for sharing 👍

Thanks June you are welcome.
You’ve inspired me to try to make my own reflection pool! What is the black dye you used and where can I purchase it?
The black dye was from Amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07BQVG7DM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I still haven't taken it for repair, but we have a couple of local camera repair places.
Can you post a link for the hide you use please
Hello, I’m really keen on building a reflection pool like this, can you please let me know the width and length of your pool? Amazing work! Thanks 🎉
It is 3ft wide.
@@DarrellOakdenPhotography thank you!

I am not sure of the make but this is where I got it. www.a1decoy.co.uk/product/2-man-pop-up-hide-tent/
Have you photographed in Estonia
No I haven't. When I go abroad it is with my wife on holiday. These are not usually photographing trips.
Can you give me info on your chair blind ?
