I have the MB339 and she is a beast in the air stock fan, I have toyed with building this t45 but know nothing about that mfc controller but I’d like to learn it, how would I go about that?
Hi Michael, you do not need to use the HSD controller to setup the T-45. I just like the flexibility and clean setup it provides. You can simply y-connect all the servo wires to your rx and skip the controller or use a controller form other manufacturers like xicoy etc. Good luck, this plane is fun!
also sir i would like to ask you about the brake controller? are you running 7.4 or 8.4 i can get them work on the bench but not much slowing down via landings ? any issue with this ?
Hi Paul, I’m not familiar with the HSD MFC (but getting ready to setup one on my T-33) so this may be a stupid question but does it replace the need for a UBEC?
@@pzukowski1001 Thank you for replying. That's a very nice field you fly at. I am moving to the area in about 18 months and can't wait to try it out myself. Take care. Jayson
@@andrewf6952 Yes! I explain in the video. I had to add 150ohm resistors so they would not burn up. Be careful the MFC puts out a higher voltage on the LED ports.
Were you able to adjust the electric brakes individually? For some reason when I go to the “wheel brake” menu, the only options I have are “brake selection” and “wheel air brake.” I don’t have the “wheel electric brake” option like it shows in the manual. I have selected electric brake as the type of brakes.
@@pzukowski1001 same here, what are your gains set up if you don’t mind me asking. Plus I have yet to get my edf and esc. I saw you recommend the jet fan but what motor is the true question.
Good question, I would say they are head to head on foam and build quality. HSD is ahead in terms of electronics, they use the MFC-2085 controller in all their models which integrates all avionics control.
@@AphexTwinII no an L-39 or T-33 would be better first time large EDFs. HSD and Aeorofoam have some good model. T-45 is a beautifully flying jet but not as forgiving on landings.
Beautifully put together. Extremely neat.
Nice video, your garage looks very clean, and the workshop behind it is very good.
Great video very helpful
Great video thanks Paul!
Great video

Yes it does. You plug a 2s lipo into it, then it can step the voltage down to 6 volts for the servos
was it hard to hook up the mfc controller? im a fan of them as well and i want to put one in my goshawk
It was very easy. I plugged in all the servos directly into the MFC. That's what it is designed to do.
Whats the take-off weight ?
Very nice. How did you CG this? Would love to see that part too.
My CG is 10mm in front of the recommended CG. I find that the model lands better that way and points the nose down on final approach.

Hey Paul, I am running an hsd controller in mine as well. What settings did you use for the retracts?
1A current setting for the retract motors.

Do you have the AS3X settings tuned or are you even using those?
Hi, yes, I use AS3X on lall my jets, regardless of size. It really improves aerobatic perfomance and overall flight stability.

What resisters you got to make this work can you provide a link
Hi, I don't have a link handy but 130ohm 0.25W is what I used. You can get these on Amazon
@@pzukowski1001 thank you and exactly how did you applicate them and how many do I need
@@mr.maneuver287 You need one resistor per LED. They can be soldered anywhere in series with the LED.
Is this the turbine ready version you converted?
This model is sold as both turbine and EDF version. Not much difference, they just ship the EDF without fuel tanks and thrust tube.

Buy a jeti controller. You wont struggle a day longer
