Tysm! This is the review i have been searching for! I am really into tablet pcs but those comes with limited usage and memory, esp the android and ios. So happy they released this. I am excited for this device's future innovations. ❤
Giving me anxiety with the tablet on the edge of the table lmao. Great vid. The whole reason I got the Go over other options was because of the tablet option for productivity! I personally recommend folding keyboards with track pads so you have even more peripheral options and theyre only a little longer, but they fold the other way so footprint is actually tiny.
Totally agree with you! I upgraded the ssd by cloning original too the new one, i used this software on the legion go itself using the right controller as my mouse.
Excellent. It is really an all on one gaming and productivity device. Everything you need for use when you need to use it. Lenovo might need to change up their marketing 🤔. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
Great Video Mate, i also bought the Legion Go over the Ally coming from a SteamDeck, because i wanted the versatility with the Tablet mode. I Love the Device. I am currently replacing my whole HomeSetup with the Go including a eGPU Dock to Use it as my Main PC.
Nice. I'm currently using my ROG Ally as my main PC. I'm looking into an eGPU myself, but man, are they pricey. I was thinking of using the Go as my PC but I enjoy using it as a portable device more. its just that much more versatile when out and about.
What egpu are u gonna use? I considered doing the same but the only way to make it ,also sense cost wise is to go the day route and use a cheap mounting for the gpu and even then it's not perfect. What's nice is the fact that Amd's igpu offerings are starting to offer great performance and there's ru,ors that the next gem rdna gpus will not need a dedicated gourmet to run higher frame rates at 1080p which is what u should run on these devices given how small the displays are
@SpartanCE117 how do you like that amd gpu? I hear a lot of people run into little bugs here and there but their starting to get more and more attractive specially with their features and price point. I love nvidia and currently have a gtx 1080ti and despite it being a nearly 7 year old card it actually games quite well still even on games where gaming in 4k makes sense to do (mostly only do that in racing games and games where 4k runs decently) I'm amazed by just how well it performs given how old it is. I got it for 350 with a alienware pc that came with it inside and a gen 8 i7 8700 6core 12 thread which again despite being old is a still a decent cpu and for the price I paid you can't be mad at the price for performance ratio!!! Still I'm looking to build another set up one that's a more mini form factor possibly even portable handheld if my budget allows so I've been looking at a egpu set up this way I can buy a super nice gpu and either use it in the egpu with both my mini and full size rigs or just use the newer one in my full size and the 1080ti in my egpu since I'm pretty sure the 1080ti is plenty for a screen as small as a portable rig.
On a side note these amd igpus are really starting to become quite impressive in what they allow you to run. I remember just a few years ago you would struggle to run any single game on a igpu and now you have igpus like the radeons and others that run games at decent settings and run well!!! Its amazing to say the least but obviously will never be as good as a dedicated gpu.
Wow after hours...this is the first review of tablet mode I've been looking for. What's the battery life like as a PC not gaming. Maybe media consumption on the go.
It's basically like a mini laptop. I have a legion laptop and now a legion go too, and I think they're both great! I use the laptop more like a desktop, it lives on my desk basically, but it'll be easier to move whenever I end up needing to move house. Meanwhile my legion go is great for everyday portability. I might get a tower PC once I do move out of my parents place, into somewhere more permanent, but honestly these portable devices are getting so powerful that I might not even need to. Seen people handwave the legion go as being too heavy, or too big for smaller hands (like mine lol), thus not as ergonomic as other devices, but I've actually found it to be more ergonomic than other options. Has a nice hand feel, even when the screen is attached, but the fact that you can take the controllers off and prop the screen up or use a tablet arm to hold it is so awesome, and it's brilliant for me as I have hand issues. So many more options. I hope steam takes some inspiration from this form factor going forward, for their next device. I love the deck, but holding it for too long hurts my dodgy right hand, makes me feel like an old lady lmao.
a great many thanks for this video! this is super useful! thanks thanks! I was wondering about using the Legion GO as a productivity device - the price point and performance is certainly very good! I am often on the go, and can't get anything programming related done on a mobile phone, and android tablets aren't much better. One needs proper programming tools that run on windows/linux/macos. much appreciate you reviewing how it is to hold the device in your hand and try do something! this is something overlooked in many review videos! ( so many people reviewing convertible laptops and tablets on a table… while where they really make a difference is when one stands up or is on the move ). you definitely deserve more subscribers with such great reviews!
Thank you for this great review - I was thinking of using this as a tablet, and your review convinced me! I really appreciate the through use cases you went over, I'm looking forward to your other videos. I'd love to see some of those old 2000s era 'tablets'! I was in the industry at the time, those 'tablets' were just too early & a disaster. And btw, it was Windows 8 that introduced Tiles.
I think this is by far the best Legion Go review, showing what the device actually does, how it behaves and what it is like to use as a functional device. Thank you. 👍
Thank you for opening Microsoft Word, that’s what I’ve been looking for! I’m looking to justify it as a laptop replacement. Other channels never ever showed Word, they just show PC conversion but still about video games.
Your review glimpses on the possibility of working on spreadsheets when commuting to and from work, which means I can do nothing while I'm in the office. Next, on to a video that shows cell selection, copy, paste values on the touchscreen, but thanks for this.
Getting the work done before actually going to work. That is the dream, isn't it? Glad I could help open your eyes to the possibilities. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
Hello, Thank you for the video. I've been looking all around before deciding to purchase the Lenovo go. No other you tube video, I've seen them talk about the productivity side of it. I know the Lenovo go was made to have fun playing games, but I also want to use it for work and what type of programs for everyday use it can handle. Thanks!
We got top content creators with budgets for videos making half assed reviews on this and my mans grabbed a cell phone, went to a park, and put them all to shame. Loved it.
Awesome review, answered so many questions I've had about this device. I have the luxury of being able to work from anywhere in the world that I can get a solid reliable internet connection so I travel frequently and just set up a mobile office wherever I end up, but unfortunately my work computer is very restricted so I also have to travel with my own personal computer. I already have a lapdock to use for my work computer so I've been looking for a good handheld computer that would be compatible with the lapdock while still offering the full windows experience. This looks like the perfect solution over taking a 3rd laptop everywhere I go.
Good video - However after using an Active Stylus/Pen on a Tablet PC and an Android Tablet - I think it needs that to be truely outstanding as a Tablet for the Lenovo LGo. As a value proposition I think Steam Deck with Dock is very compelling and am beginning to really appreciate SteamOS.
Good job brother great review on the legion go, I use it all the ways you mentioned, it's the do it all machine its definitely a game changer. I love it!
I still need to get one. I want to play that Assassins Creed, and my daughter is excited about Roblox in the VR. Both titles aren't available on the original Oculus VR.
Im still of the belief that for a pickup and play gaming device, the Steam Deck is awfully hard to beat. But these features you show here about the GO are what have me considering it as well. I really like how you showed off the PC/Tablet side of it. I know it's a gaming beast. But what I think makes the Go special, is the ability to do what you showed in this video. Thanks!
hm Sony and Nintendo definitely beat it for pick up and play since they sell north of 100M units while the deck hasn’t even sold 5M. And of course there is personal use like why this beats it for me is for my disabled cousin to use while i’m visiting.
Really wish there was a device like this but with active stylus support, and maybe even a built in front camera and finger print sensor in the trackpad. All that for $800, i think would be all i want/ need
Thanks for this! I don't game at all but all other reviews come to the device from that angle. I've been eyeing a Legion Go for dev work on the go because I'm so used to using a split mechanical keyboard that I can't use a laptop. I'm still looking for good benchmarks for compiling C, C++, and Rust and I'd love to see how well it does with VMs on 16Gb of shared memory. The Z1 Extreme is so new that I might have to pick one up just to test things out myself.
I'd run some of the test for you as they sound interesting, but I know very little of c++ or Rust. I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination. Good luck, though. I hope you find the Go as useful a device for your productivity needs as I have. And don't forget it's actually pretty food at gaming, too. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
I’ve heard that the work performance matches it’s gameplay It’s marketed as a “gaming” handheld when in reality it’s an all in one media handheld Another reviewer said it’s capable of running Linux and windows, doing work on both simultaneously, and still have some processing power to spare These things are highly efficient And I’m caught between the legion go and gdp win 4 since it has occulink, and a built in keyboard
I have the SD and Ally as well. I use the Ally as my home PC, and the SD has become my around the house gaming device. The Go has become the one I take about most often. It simply does more without the need for the extra. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot
Thank you for the review, I had been considering buying one for ages, but couldn’t decide which handheld would suit my gaming and productivity needs. Saw this in-depth review a few months ago and finally decided to pull the trigger. My only issue was the lack of built in camera as I need to attend teams meetings regularly, but got past that with a cheap web cam. Got to say it really improved my life. Thanks buddy, really appreciate it first purchase I made without the 'am I making the right decision?' anxiety!
I was super on the fence between this and the ally, I ended up getting the ally for a great deal at Best Buy and I’m loving it so far. I can’t deny though, the legion go is definitely better as a productivity hybrid machine
It wasn't the intent, but the GO ability beyond gaming was a feature I wanted to showcase. I didn't realize so many others were also interested in that aspect as well. The love is appreciated. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to make that intro for years. Not so much the graphics, but the song and effects. I'm glad I finally had an idea and a platform to attach it to. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot
Good overview brother. I’ve enjoyed the Legion Go, both for AAA IP And older games like Civ 6. I’ve not tried using the Legion Go for productivity as I don’t use WinDoze much personally but I did install my Office 365 sub, and now have access to my work docs on the go. It's a keyboard I bought off of eBay since months ago for my Duo. It still comes in handy from time to time. I'll put a link to a similar keyboard in the description. As for the audio, you're right. It's louder in the upload than the edit. I'll continue to work on these little hiccups. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot
@@yigiteydemir8295 I think 2-3 hours is more realistic. Possibly , depending on the workload and if you're connected to the internet or not. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot
It's actually not a mouse pad, it's my Tab S8 Ultra. It had died, so I switched to the GO to get some writing done. That's what inspired the video. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
You aren't wrong. The double usbc comes in extremely handy. I'm. Ot sure how much more powerful the Go is in comparison to the newest Surface PC, but being that they aren't gaming devices, I'd assume it has one up on them.
That's not a mouse pad. It's my Tab S8 Ultra with the keyboard case. I use it as a mouse pad with the Go because it is such a huge surface area when closed. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
It’s very interesting but way too small screen to do any productivity. connected to a monitor and keyboard/mouse, it is my only “PC” (I upgraded to 1 TB) but I use a Samsung Tab S8 as my laptop.
Thanks man that's exactly the point of this device for me. Can you tell how long it lives on battery in this office work mode without gaming but with battery saving on and not max brightness?
Sorry, I would love to tell you, but I can't. The truth is, I don't get to write nearly enough in one sitting to kill the device. It's pretty good on power when not online or gaming. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
You make the move when you are inspired to do so. In this case, inspiration happened outside. I have more than enough video of the device at home, exploring different features and getting better acquainted with it. Subscribe so you can see when they are posted. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
I do that at home, but when out, it would be kind of bothersome to carry all of that. The strength of the device is you don't need any extra accessories, except probably a keyboard. The Go is just a very versatile device. Thanks for watching and commenting. it means a lot.
Actually I purchased before I even got the Go. It’s been my go to mobile keyboard for a while now. It as versatile as the Legion Go. There is a link on the description. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot
@@lifewithshades If you check earlier videos on my channel, I have quite a few videos on the device. Here is one that I feel cover my love of the device and how I use it on the regular even now. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/lIxfGpQchBs/видео.html
Not the one in the video, no. That one is strictly Bluetooth. The Go does have two usbc ports, though. You could attach a usbc keyboard to it if you choose. It should work fine.
I'm not sure what you mean. The clavier tablet tablette? Legion tablet typo? The keyboard, perhaps? I don't want to give you a wrong answer bc I assumed wrongly.
No, not Babymetal (though I am a big fan!). The background is from Samurai Jack. Unless I had Babymetal on the tablet at another point in the video...it's totally possible.
Good point. The screen is smaller than most laptops, but it still works very well. As far as accessories, you only need a keyboard (technically, you don't as it has an on-screen keyboard). Either way, the mini PC solution will work better for some than others. I'd still argue that it's easier to carry than most gaming laptops, even with a portable keyboard, and the detachable controllers give you more gaming options at the ready. To each thier own. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
Sorry, but no, "I myself" is not considered redundant when used as a reflexive pronoun. If a person is using this phrase to give emphasis to the pronoun it is proper to use. Have a nice day.
I guess it depends on the product and the time. I'm always interested in new experiences. Send me some information and we'll see if we can work something out. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot

You’re so real bro

Hello sir, great video. What are you using as a mouse pad?
It's actually not a mouse pad, it's my Tab S8 Ultra. It had died, so I switched to the GO to get some writing done. That's what inspired the video. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
One reason i going to order legion go is to buy something like a surface go but now with way better performance and double usb4
You aren't wrong. The double usbc comes in extremely handy. I'm. Ot sure how much more powerful the Go is in comparison to the newest Surface PC, but being that they aren't gaming devices, I'd assume it has one up on them.
This is the review i am looking for as im thinking if that legion go can be a mini tablet PC because of its screen size
Cool review! Just subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
Great overview, thanks!
Looks like the mouse is better than all the vertical mouse in the market..
Great review man!
gosh... now I kinda wish I'd waited for this before deciding to buy a laptop
Keeep up the awesome work
Can you send amazon link of your mouse pad in the video?
That's not a mouse pad. It's my Tab S8 Ultra with the keyboard case. I use it as a mouse pad with the Go because it is such a huge surface area when closed. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
It’s very interesting but way too small screen to do any productivity. connected to a monitor and keyboard/mouse, it is my only “PC” (I upgraded to 1 TB) but I use a Samsung Tab S8 as my laptop.
Great review !
I mean, goodness, guy you couldn't do this at home without the glare? I can't help but see the trees on the screen.
You make the move when you are inspired to do so. In this case, inspiration happened outside. I have more than enough video of the device at home, exploring different features and getting better acquainted with it. Subscribe so you can see when they are posted. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
great video. thanks!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot.
Great work
Plug in a docking station
Plug monitor and kbm
Call it a day
I do that at home, but when out, it would be kind of bothersome to carry all of that. The strength of the device is you don't need any extra accessories, except probably a keyboard. The Go is just a very versatile device. Thanks for watching and commenting. it means a lot.
I want the legion go simply to use it in tablet form without the controllers attached. What kind of keyboard is that btw?
Nevermind I checked the description
Damn nice review. Are you a PA?
Thank you. No, not PA, NY. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot
You work at Amazon?@@thenionx
Nope. Odd question…
@thenionx because that table and vest looks familiar here in amazon
@@iamdrichy This is true, but no, I’m a bus driver.
Did that keyboard come with it? Or did you purchase after…?
Actually I purchased before I even got the Go. It’s been my go to mobile keyboard for a while now. It as versatile as the Legion Go. There is a link on the description. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot
@@thenionxthanks for your reply!
Is this better than a surface pro?
What's the windows fold device you had beside the Legion go?
The Window's device is the Surface Duo 2. I don't leave home without it. Thanks for watching and commenting it means alot
@@thenionx I would be very interested in a video showcasing it and all of it's features 🙏
@@lifewithshades If you check earlier videos on my channel, I have quite a few videos on the device. Here is one that I feel cover my love of the device and how I use it on the regular even now. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/lIxfGpQchBs/видео.html
Amazing ...can you try software to coding please ?😅
I would, but I honestly don't know how to
Does the keyboard support wired mode?
Not the one in the video, no. That one is strictly Bluetooth. The Go does have two usbc ports, though. You could attach a usbc keyboard to it if you choose. It should work fine.
WoW
Did you just say Windows 9?
Hello where the link Shop too the clavier tablette ?
I'm not sure what you mean. The clavier tablet tablette? Legion tablet typo? The keyboard, perhaps? I don't want to give you a wrong answer bc I assumed wrongly.
@@thenionx not speak English...
le lien vers le clavier est dans la description.
@@thenionx pas vu....

Someone who gets it
is that babymetal i see👀
No, not Babymetal (though I am a big fan!). The background is from Samurai Jack. Unless I had Babymetal on the tablet at another point in the video...it's totally possible.
I just want to oil u up and watch u game on this console
I use mine for 3d printing 😂
Just buy GPD win mini bro...... legion is not portable at all.
GPD sucks. No warranty at all.
No it's not better than laptops, screen is too small, you have to carry too many accessories.
Don't say "I myself" it's redundant.
?? that is how normal people talk.. unless you have an ocd and feeling the need to correct everything..
It's too late now, but thanks for pointing ot out. I'll try to be more aware of how much I say it when doing these vids.
Excellent content!! Disregard the grammar specialist. You were articulate enough for 99.99% of us. 😎🤣
Troll
Sorry, but no, "I myself" is not considered redundant when used as a reflexive pronoun. If a person is using this phrase to give emphasis to the pronoun it is proper to use. Have a nice day.
