    You really don’t necessarily need to remove to both drives if you don’t have 2 enclosures. Install everything on your legion then use this software to clone it to the new drive connected to it this way is also faster

    i just upgraded my legion go by myself and i haven't done anything like this ever. so i was kinds scared of breaking someting. but i did it, thanks to this video.
    unfortunatly i did not find a 2242. but i did find a 2230. so i had to buy a extender for it aswell. but everything works.
    now to find out witch games i want to instal on it.
    ive been playing cyberpunk 2077 on it for the past week. and i love that it can play it. even though it is on low settings. but still. pretty awesome.
    as a truckdriver i am away from home alot. so i cant really play on my pc. this lenovo legion go is one of my best purchases i did.
    also, i live in the netherlands and we don't have any micro centers here. so i had to do it myself. also my to go tech company did not want to do it for me, even they said is was to risky.

      @Patrick-y4d1z 10 месяцев назад

      @@ViXoZuDo
      You might be correct, we'll have to see if someone comes up with something. It really depends on how much clearance there is between the back panel and the battery. If you could fit a right-angled m.2 extender, then in theory could fit a 2280. But we just don't know yet.
      Or maybe someone will start selling a backplate that is 2mm thicker and allows for the m.2 extension. We'll see.
      The reason we might want this over an external NVME, is because of a couple of reasons. 1-portability is better. 2-eGPU support would rely on the USB4 slot as it only has one.

    Be careful getting one of these "upgraded" drives. They are replacing Western Digital drives with junk. They're dying left and right and Lenovo warranty doesn't cover the drive since they are replacing the 512GB drives with 1TB and 2TB with lesser quality drives. I have a 1TB version from Microcenter. Mine died after 3 months and Lenovo will charge for the repair to remove the 1TB drive and put a 512 back in.

      I also got the upgraded one couple months ago and It died on me last night while playing Starfield. So i have to drive 45 mins to a Micro center to see if they can fix it for me since i have their warranty. This is the second upgraded Go in my house that has randomly died thanks to Micro center putting trash drives in these.

    I have a question about the micro SD cards. I did not experience this issue on my Steam Deck, but for some reason when installing games from Steam it takes a really long time to allocate space on the drive. I am using a fast 190mb micro sd card. I don't get it. Any thoughts?

    Is there a limit to how much memory this system can handle internal? I've tried a 5tb portable HD via USB C and it works fine.

    Shame you guys don't have a store in Brandon Florida.
    I'm surprised those 22x42 drives don't have a higher capacity since you can get 22x30s with 2TB also.
    I might get the Go over a SteamDeck ever tho I can mod the Deck with 32GB of RAM.

    I'll just get a two terabyte micro SD card and then I won't have to open the thing up. But that's just me I'm a weak user not a powerful user.
