This is fantastic. Thanks for posting! I was 19 when this was taken and used to live in Kingsdale Road off Allerton road on the left. Now I live in Melbourne Australia and I haven't been back since 2001...I really miss Liverpool.
I used to catch the number 86 all the time from the shops on mather ave ,i lived in Allerton , i now live in Australia , left in 1982 & never been back yet.
i swear i saw myself at a busstop on mather.. if it was a weekday i was probably bunking off school! now i live in the states..go figure, top memories! thanks for posting!
This is brilliant! before the Tesco on Mather Ave was built. Cheveux hairdressers i worked there for a week! Hargreaves store was for posh people haha. Vernon and Johnson dance school above it. mabel fletcher college and the old Sefton general hospital where i was born :)
This is amazing, I was made up when I saw the old Hargreaves store. Damn that silly bus getting in the way though. This reminded me and my sister of the old saturday trips to 'Great Homer street market'. I was 3 when this was filmed. Weldone for posting it. I love it!
