Project: Shrink Down the Head of Stainless Cap Screws

  • Don't have the right screw? Shrinkify the head of existing screws to fit these damn vises with weird undersized slots.
    Mill is Proxxon FF230. Belt sander is Kalamazoo 1SM.

    dock them down or deck them down? camphor or chamfered?

    So how do you like the mill now that you’ve had it awhile?

      I like it, for a mill that I can pick up and put on a shelf when I am not using it! Not much out there in that regard, only the Sherline that I am aware of. The Sherline looks pretty cool and well thought through. Though it does not have a quill feed for drilling. The Taig is pretty cool too, though quite a bit heavier, would need a permanent spot in my estimation.
