If I was going to buy a brand new vice, it would be a Brockhaus Heuer too :-) I actually have a vintage Brockhaus vice, before Heuer was involved! Very different design, though.
@@RoomForTools My oldest vice (of over 50) is German and fits in the palm of your hand - there were many British clones of that style of vice, but I have an original in the 120-140 year range - sadly it's had some history and isn't perfect, but it's still really cool to own :-) The Brockhaus I have is a big drill press vice, and aside from cosmetics of the screw cover, it's nearly mint condition. Love it.
Also, I see you're using Volkel taps, if you've not tried them, get some sets of their serial taps. If you're cutting steel, particularly deep bind holes, they can't be beaten.
@@RoomForTools Each in the set of three cuts progressively deeper, so each cut is very light and easy. Low to no chance of tap breakage and even though not spiral style you can drill them through thinner stuff one by one just fine and no risk there either. In alloy it doesn't make sense, but in steel especially for deep ones, it's the difference between hard high-risk work and fun easy low risk work. Also, the quality of thread the final cut gives is superior because a shallower cut tends to have a better surface finish. Just better.
Fit in the slot, yeh since Milwaukee uses the same rip fence for the M18 and M12. Lengthwise is the question.. measure the width of the saw shoe from the side to the locking screw.. is it 4-3/8" or less?
Adding my hat to the ring of folks who would buy one.
That was satisfying to watch, including your fine inspector.
Perfect solution! Could I still get one?
Damnit, I got Port on my metal shavings! Love it.
DuBonet and (mostly) gin... very good.
Do you have any left? I would be interested in one if so!
This channel reminds me of AvE
Wow how interesting you are a MASTER

Fantastic vices... German Tool Reviews (RUclips) has a video restoring a vintage Heuer... they never die!

I would like one for my Milwaukee m18 7¼ circular saw.
Thanks for the interest... see the dimensions in the video to know if it is long enough to work with the M18 saw.

Good eye... thanks for the advice!

Have we found out if this fits the M18 7 1/4 fuel skill saw?

the m18 6 1/2 shoe is 5 inches wide and from one end of the shoe to the screw is less than 4 inches, so it should work at least for the 6 1/2"
I’m barely seeing this!!!! Are these still in stock??
Yeh.. I made a dozen of them, sold one so far.
@@RoomForTools I couldn’t find your email in the “about” section can you post it please?
Under my channel "About", you should see "View Email Address" for business inquiries. You might need to be signed into RUclips to see it.
Still in stock?
Some on eBay still.
