    Great review! I have to say I have had a older Toyota Rav-4 Limited. I went to the Toyota Dealership thinking for sure I would get a 2023 Rav-4 Limited. I went to get into the driver's seat and I bumped my head on top of the car just getting in and I am 5.2" I told my husband to get in on the passenger side. Very hard to get in comfortably. I don't know how a tall person could even get in it and be comfortable doing so. We ended up going to Honda Dealership. The CR-V-EX-L was so much more roomier. Just my humble opinion.

    Very nice review on a great vehicle. However, no behind the wheel was included. We test drove one recently and found it to be very solid and amazingly quiet. Drives like something bigger, given the relatively short wheelbase. For those people who insist on having the blind spot detection, you’ll have to wait until they’re able to get a supply of chips. When that happens, we’ll definitely buy it.

      Still might get oil dilution because of the design of the engine. I'd change the oil at least every 3000 miles and let the turbo cool down by idling a few minutes after each drive.Change CVT fluid every 30,000 miles, and then hope for the best past warranty.

      Takes 87 octane, but 93 octane stops oil dilution according to some. Honda says at least 87. But is it worth the extra cost of the high octane gas? This is what you get when they make that small of an engine with that high of pressure. There's gonna be weaknesses for longterm reliability, and questions... The way I see it - take good care of it and don't drive is super hard, change oil every 3000 and let turbo cool down 1 or 2 minutes after each drive, and it can last 100 to 150,000 without major repairs Not sure on the CVT. Probably should change fluid every 30k

  • @ryanratra04
    @ryanratra04 Год назад +1

    I bought this car after watching your video but there are lot of short comings with this new model. II spent $44,000 on this car. Despite the sleek looks, the hybrid version falls short on mileage, providing only 26 mpg. In addition, the sensors in my car stopped working just after a week, despite resetting them multiple times. This has caused significant safety concerns, as the lane change and wiper sensors often fail to work, leaving me stranded in the middle of a drive. Even the lights are practically inefficient in the dark or rain, making it difficult to drive safely. It seems that Honda prioritized the exterior design of the car and jacked up the price without focusing on the car's functional features. What's worse, if you add even a bit of extra weight, the car starts to make a loud rumbling noise and the engine struggles to move the car forward. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a reliable and safe car.

Technically those are struts holding up the hood, shocks are used to dampen a movement. Injectors sure are loud. What no condemnation of the wired apple carplay/android auto like with other vehicles? Honda needs to join the modern age and integrate the display into the dash vs having it stick up like a forgotten item during initial design stages.

      Its CVT is really nice to drive, but longterm reliability is questionable. The eCVT on the hybrid probably will last longer.

    Mike, I'm definitely going to upgrade from my 2019 crv exl to either this or the hybrid sport. Not considering the hybrid turbo, because I believe it's not worth the price. One gets plenty with the hybrid sport for about 5k less🤷‍♂️.

      There is quite a bit of upgrades in the EX-L so it depends on how much you want them. Like leather seats, wireless Carplay/Android Auto, power passenger seat and so on. Also, would you rather have a hybrid 2.0l or the 1.5l turbo? Can you live with all the gloss black the Sport will have? There is a lot to consider.

      I recommend the LX strippe, as it's the lowest price. And find a dealer that will knock 10 or 15 percent off MSRP. Call a bunch of dealers at once and do it on the phone. But if you plan on keeping the car for a long time, pay the extra and get the hybrid, as longterm reliability should be much better.

    The auto is so the headlights come on and off automatically Not the daytime ones. That’s how mine is

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  Год назад

      Yes. The daytime running lights are only toggled on/off by turning the switch to the off position. 19:24

      @@MikesCarInfo no that is incorrect daytime are always on. When you have it to auto the Headlights will turn on automatically when the sun sets and the headlight are off when it or light outside

      I wasn't talking about the AUTO position. Everyone knows what that does. It is the OFF position that I used to demonstrate how to turn off the daytime running lights. You can see the green light on the dash turn on and off in the video confirming that the lights are turning on and off.

      Honda fucked it up with the 2023 model. As far im concern, its a way over price for a PIECE OF CRAP. I'll keep my 2021 AWD CR-V which is much better than this 2023 model piece of crap !!

    Gas pedal is too close to the side well. Not enough room for side of foot when it's on the pedal. Snow mode on a 2-wheel drive car? ECO is a joke, just makes throttle response slow. That shifter looks stiff.
