When deciding between the 2024 Honda CRV EX-L and 2024 Honda CRV EX trims, it often comes down to personal preference regarding interior materials (leather vs. cloth), specific amenities (such as the audio system and power features), and the budget. If the added luxury and features of the EX-L are important to you, it might be worth the extra cost, but the EX trim still offers a well-equipped CR-V without some of the premium touches.
Ĺ😊
Wrong, it comes down to your wallet 😂
Just the video I was looking for. Many thanks.
Glad we can be of help. Thank you for the support!
Fantastic detailed video!
Thank you!
Thank you for the video, it was very informative!
Glad we can help honestly! Thank you for the supportive
i bought exl its amazing feeling radiant red and grey interior.
Nice! New cars are always nice! I’m a big crv fan. What is your favorite part of the car?
My wife and I are picking up our EX-L (same color scheme) from the dealer on Saturday. Two a 2-month wait to be built and transported. Can't wait!
Thank you. We are definitely getting the EXL. I needed this video
Glad it was helpful! Thanks a bunch!
Thank you for all your info!!
Yes! Glad we can be of good help! Thank you for the support!
Great video thank you
You are most welcome! Glad we can be of help to you!
Great video
Thanks ! Appreciate the support!
My only complaint with my
New 24 CRV EX is that it doesn’t have the auto lift gate. That should come standard in all new CRV’s imo. I just didn’t want to upgrade & spend another almost $3000 for this one feature that is important to me, but I’m thinking I probably will spend the extra on my next one! 😉
Ty for this video. You were way more helpful than my salesperson!
Haha glad to be of help! Enjoy your new car.
Greedy Honda...
@@jeonglee8555, not just Honda, my mother has an Equinox & they took away the built in garage door remote & sunroof on the model she has always purchased & a few other amenities, you now have to purchase the upgraded tier package to get some of the basic features. 🤦🏼♀️
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Thanks for helping me which one to get.
Glad we can be of help! Which part of the video was most helpful?
Thanks for the review. Too bad that Honda added sunroof while it removed power tailgate for ex trim.
Tell me about it, I’m a bell and whistle kind of guy. Like my cars fully loaded
A donut is not a “full size” spare tire.
Whoops! Haha sorry
Got my wife the EX-L and we both LOVE it. We didn’t care too much about the Hybrid or AWD.
Only complaints I have are, wishing it had automatic closing and opening of the side mirrors, they’re manual, heated steering wheel, and the wireless CarPlay seems a bit glitchy.
Nice! Glad you like it! Was the video helpful?
Thanks.
You’re welcome
Hi I have a new Honda hrv 2024. I like the safety features. Do you know what is that orange light of like a face of hair in the left side of dashboard odometer. Everytime it flash once when I am driving. I google for all the orange lights but cannot find the same orange image like a hair-face … what that for?
Please send picture to email.
I really enjoy your videos. I was just curious; how can you have many CRVs and the dealership up here in Ohio has only a few. And, whenever the6y get some in they are already sold. Probably because they are so well made, everybody wants quality.
We actually don’t have that many either. They sell fast here. Honda and Toyota are hot sellers.
Thank you. Can you please do Volkswagen 2024 Tiguan SE and SE R Line Black Comparison video ?
We will try to get to it. If we can get our hands on it. We will post if we are able to get it.
Notice the lack of weather proofing on the inside of the hood. The engine compartment gets filthy dirty because of this. Also, there's no sound protection, so the engine noise moves into the cabin. Just something to be aware of.
Do you own one ?
Completely false. It is one of the most silent cabins that I have ever been in. I own the EX-L
you have very nice hands!
Hahahahah thanks! Was the video helpful at all?
Turning Automatic Tilt on Side View Mirrors While Reversing On or Off. 2024 CRV EX-L
Thank you!
@@VagabondBuildsIt doesn't work on my vehicle, how can I do this?
Hmm one day 🙏🏽 I ll drive it
Yes! May Jesus bring that one day faster! 🙂 hope all the best!
My salesman commented on the EX-L having a "premier" clear coat where the EX model has the standard clear coat. What is the true difference and will the premier clear coat protect better or last longer? Thank you in advance.
I haven’t heard of anything about that before.
That sounds like the whole "ceramic coat protection" dealerships add on to mark of a price and make money. You absolutely do not need it and can totally have them not charge you for that.
is there a lock for the gas cap?
They lock as you lock the car I believe.
No fog lights on both ?
No. They got rid of fog lights.
5:15 what is a gasless gas cap?
Sorry I meant no gas cap…. Haha sorry!
Was the video helpful at all?
Navigation system built in?
No built in navigation… Apple car play and android auto
@@VagabondBuilds ahhh really bro...
Why would they do that to save money I guess SMH
buddy, is 1.5 turbo and cvt transmission reliable like rav4?
My personal opinion…. Ummmm, I don’t like turbo systems if that answers your question.
Can we add rack rails for tying down a Christmas tree?
Yes you can add a rack.
Thoughts on CRV vs VW Tiguan?
Ummmm… depends which powertrain you’re getting on the hrv…
Can the d crv use app on screen
Was Apple CarPlay mentioned in the video?
La más linda de todas las suv, es hermosa.
Nice 👍🏼
I did not care for leather seats that was the only reason I settled for the EX which is on the way. I doubt I can maintain leather and I tend to keep my cars for a long time.
Really… it just takes some leather cream, but you choose what is best for you. Great!
Is the Oil dilution issue solved for the 1.5ltr T petrol engine?
Sorry… oil dilution?
@@VagabondBuildsyes
Not sure what your meaning about that to be honest…
@@VagabondBuilds don't worry about it...I just asked bcoz one of the major complaints or negatives for d 1.5ltr Turbo petrol is that it was having oil dilution issues especially in the colder states during winter time. U can check it online.
Oil dilution problem is not fixed. If you live in cold climate stay away from this engine. No heat in stop and go driving. Just idle this engine with heat on maximum and engine will not stay at operating temp in winter condtions. So your engine runs rich this is an oil dilution nightmare
I had the 2023 CR-V EX-L and I upgraded to the 2023 CR-V Hybrid Sport L, the Hybrid I believe is the best way to go because it has more power, better on gas and better resale value. The upfront cost will end up paying itself plus more because of the much better mpg. Don't get me wrong, I liked the EX-L but wasn't getting great mpg fuel economy.
I will have to say that you’re right. I am a hybrid fan.
It seems like more people are realizing that it's a better choice too @@VagabondBuilds 👍
I’d personally steer away from hybrids since the technology is still fairly new. If you have issues with it, god forbid. You’re pretty much stuck with only taking it back to the dealership. Mechanics throughout cities have a hard time putting their hands on hybrids
@@NuIVIbthe tech is almost 30 years old, dude lol. They've been around since the year 2000
The salesman at Honda told me yesterday 4/18/24, that the hybrid part of the 2024 CRV has a 8 year warranty.
Why don't any of the CRV tour videos ever talk about available storage spaces inside the car??? Coin holders? Large glove box? Extra spaces to store nail file, lipgloss, brush, tissues, pen, paper, etc? I guess we have to dump it all in the dark, unlighted center console box? Not organizable. Should someone want to carry all these things in a big purse, where does that fit?? Only on the dirty floor or out of reach on the back seat? Doesn't Honda have any female design engineers anymore? My 2006 CRV has a ton of storage! Way better design. Maybe Honda can develop a "Classic" series and bring back the old design with a modern look?
We did show the storage spaces.
Ummm…. I don’t think I ever thought about a woman’s perspective 😅 haha well I mean into this depth. Haha sorry!
@EvaBogardFlorida. Agreed & I'm a man. When I'm a front seat passenger in my sister's CR-V, I'm either holding her purse or having her purse jab me on my left side. W/ the 2024 CR-V, she opens the center console lid and places her purse in there. It fits snuggly there & doesn't slide around -but it's probably a hassle to opening the console lid for her purse every she drives her car.
It's ironic how the American auto dealerships have full lots. But, the foreign automakers are having trouble keeping up. Could it bet that they take pride in putting quality into their vehicles. I know no automobile is perfect. But the foreign autos have fewer issues.
I have to agree. It’s known that the Asian vehicles are very reliable. And people are willing to sacrifice desires for reliability
Our lots are empty in Canada too
Way over priced in the U.S maybe with inflation that's why people don't want to buy right now. Not to mention the dealership screwing you by thousands of dollars.😮
Such a shame that there is no flat load floor with the seats down. What a fail.
Is that a make it or break it for you?
Does EX-L only have black leather. Is there a lighter grey? I hate black interior!
Choice of 2 colors.. black or grey leather on the EXL trim
I thought it was just me, black hides dirt and when it gets cold it feels like a dark basement.
The CRV only comes in the 1.5T or the 2.0 Hybrid engine. There’s no 2.0 gas model.
You are right…. Was the video at all helpful?
what's the color of the interior for the CrV EX
I believe it’s on the msrp sticker.
My mirror lights are not working 2014 hrv
Maybe a fuse?
I am on the fence between the exl or the sport L hybrid
Any comments from your viewers?
People seem to respond and say that the bells and whistles are worth the extra dollar.
Why no fog lights???
Honda is stepping away from fog lights in multiple models.
Are you aware of any difference between the two models, in insulation (for noise?) This would be in the doors/roof/floor.
From the small distance I have driven them, no I haven’t. We didn’t do a decent drive test though. But I would see it being a great difference to be honest.
By far the EXL is your best choice.
Agreed
Buh-inn? C'mon, say it as it should be said: button!
Was the video helpful at all?
The difference is $$$$$$!!!! Even charge more for the paint/ color of the vehicle!!!! That’s ridiculous. Plus Honda has lost their mind on many of the interior items….. that I do center is ugly…. Looks like a after thought…. The center consul is much smaller than it was on the 2020 CRV….. I owned a 2018 CRV, got rid of that and leased a 2020 crv….. my lease was up and got a 2024 that I just picked up on Saturday… so far I hate it. I hate that digital screen ( too hard to read) compared to the 2020crv…..
I’d like to tell Honda how ugly the inside front is. And it’s kinda hard to see and find what your looking for.
Wow…. Sorry to hear.. you think it would grow on you?
@@VagabondBuilds - doubtful…. Part of the problem is I’m a senior citizen. I have some health issues that have affected my eyes so this kind of a digital screen thing they have and then that round circle on each side that’s hard very hard on my eyes, whereas the 2020 was great --I don’t like at all the way they’ve done Actually any of it. I don’t know if it is or not but I swear that the center consul is smaller. The cupholders are ridiculous and it seems so scrunched up whereas in the 2020 it seem much more easy accessible even where you push the start button that’s been scooted in more you gotta get your hand up in there just a little bit more and I wouldn’t know this if I didn’t just drive a 2020 for three years. But it isn’t just those things. I guess those are minor -I can’t see it very well and finding where everything is is hard- like how do you change the trip mileage?? in the 2020 super easy you just push that little knob thing. Now you got a scroll through something and all that it’s ridiculous and so weird this might be an OK car for a younger person ( this new technology) now you got to stop and think is a younger person going to want to CRV because they’re not going to look at mileage and they’re not gonna look at maybe how well it’s built they want to look at how cool the car is. They want to look at how fast it will go and those things do not apply to the Honda CRV 2024 so you’re not gonna sell it to young people at all they’re going to go for the mustangs and the Dodge Challenger and all those vehicles then the rest Honda CRV so it seems to me like that’s more geared towards the middle age or young maybe family person or even better yet senior citizens, but the way this is set up now is very hard on the senior citizens eyes and then that thing right there in the middle that you see What music you’re listening to and all that I don’t know what technically that’s called but I swear to you that looks like an afterthought. It looks like the engineer said oh crap we forgot to put that screen in there. Let’s just slap it on the front like this it’s not even build in like the 2020 was, it’s ugly to say the very least and I don’t know who is the person that or persons that are designing this but somebody’s not thinking and I don’t know if it’s we just “got a change so many things” to make it so people want to buy a newer vehicle I don’t know if that’s the thought process but they better be deciding what demographic they really want to sell to because it is not going to be the young person. Not only that my son is 41 he won’t be caught dead driving a Honda CRV and he worked at Honda for many years. He drove an Acura. But he also had a Dodge Challenger and the Acura was the family car. So I don’t think the guys that really love vehicles are going to lean towards a Honda CRV so that’s not their demographic either, and this idea of charging extra for every color all that does is put me off and piss me off. Because I’m a senior citizen, my finances are extremely tight, particularly in this economy so I had to go for the EX. I would’ve loved to had the automatic trunk opener. I can’t tell you how that would’ve helped me because I am handicap and when I go to get groceries I do pick up now in the winter time I’ve got a struggle to get out and all of that in the summertime it’s not quite as hard and where I live I don’t know where you are, but where I live is Ohio Northwest Ohio and we can have some bad winters but it’s not just bad it’s icy and that’s dangerous for somebody who can hardly walk …. I don’t care about the seats whether they’re leather or material fabric. I don’t care I don’t have any young children so that is not an issue. I don’t drive the vehicle a lot I don’t go a lot and do you know I wanted to keep the 2020 so badly but they were able to put me in a 2024 lease for the exact same amount that I’m paying on the 2020 lease and I had three years 30,000 mile warranty whereas if I would’ve bought the 2020 I lose all warranty and because I had no money to put down I ended up with $100 more a month. I’m not hard on a vehicle I don’t put many miles on it. I was allowed 10,000 miles a year that’s 30,000 at the end of my three-year lease contract. I did not even have 9000 total miles on my vehicle. I didn’t even have at the Honda dealership I went to which was the closest one to me which was still an hour away I did not even have any choice of color I had to stick with the black and the black as what I had in the 2020- it’s also what I had in the 2018 so I would’ve loved to have the pearl white but again more money. I am going to be smarter this next time and I’m gonna start looking at dealerships in my area and there is no Honda, so that means jumping ship and going to a different dealership.
Oh okay. Understood.
Had the 1.5L and will never own another.
Why do you say that?
Oil Dilution and engine response problems where it would bulk before responding to power@@VagabondBuilds
cool shorts, bro..lmfao!
Haha haha appreciate the compliment! Thanks for watching!
It’s mad annoying the mirrors doesn’t automatically closes on its own 🤦🏾♂️
I understand. It would be nice to have that added feature. Is that a make it or break it for you?
The word “button” has 2 letter T’s in the middle. It’s said BUT-ton. Not buh-un. Thanks. Those look like donut spare to me.
A 7-inch touch screen in 2024 is a little disappointing. Competitors are offering 10-12 inch screens standard.
Can you give us some examples of competitors that are in the crv line?
@@VagabondBuilds Hyundai Tucson, KIA Sportage, Mazda CX5, Mazda CX50
@@VagabondBuildsSubaru Outback and 2025 forester
Wow! 1.5 engine 190 hp?😢My 2023 Camry has bigger engine 2.5 with 203 hp
And better mpg😮
Well.. that’s hard to argue 😅
I hope they fixed the minor issues from the previous gen…i DO like these but they are WAAAY overpriced….but most cars are these days
A dozen eggs are over priced, inflation at its finest….. but these are nice cars.
@@VagabondBuilds lol 😂 if you are willing to pay these prices for these because of inflation go right ahead…inflation or not they arent worth the asking price
So, you didn’t answer the question. Which one is better? Don’t put the question in the title unless you’re going to answer.
I would go for the EXL if you ask me. The question was directed for the viewers…
I would go for base model. Too much tech creates problems in long term use.
I don’t think Honda really has a tech problem in the long run.
Honda CR-V's have oil dilution issues
???
Video needs some serious editing. @6:45 - Honda unfortunately hasn't had a full-size spare in YEARS.
Thank you we will seek to try better.
Dude, inline means front to back. These are transverse mounted. Makes one wonder about your expertise.
I don’t claim to be an expert. Thank you for the criticism I’ll try better next time.
No. Inline refers to cylinder configuration, as opposed to a 'V' or horizontally opposed. The word you are looking for is 'longitudinal'. Both longitudinal and transverse engines can be 'inline'. Makes one wonder about your expertise.
Turbo. never with a 4 cyl. never
I agree. I like naturally aspirated better!
@@VagabondBuildsis it really that bad ?
My 2016 Civic ex-t (turbo) has 244,000 miles!
I live in a metric country, so US measures are useless. That's why I didn't subscribe or keep watching. Over to you...
Appreciate the heads up. Noted. Thanks
@@VagabondBuilds , don't worry i just subscribed in his place so keep the good work!
What about bank interest rates in 2023? 8% interest on a brand new car, no way! The interest is 12,350 $ the amount you pay the bank on top of the price of the car when you buy a base model Honda c-rv without 4x4. Calculate bank interest for your favorite model. What do you think!? I for one cannot accept such a thing from the banks. I am no longer interested in buying a new car.
Well then cash one out and don’t seek a loan. You aren’t forced to get a loan. Some dealers are dropping percentages and eating part of the price.
here in Massachusetts, it is 3.9% interest on brand new car. Last 2016 we got a great deal with 1.9% on a basic 2016 CRV. Maybe it depends on what states you're in.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!!
