Omg I found this channel and her nails are short which is perfect because I have short nails and it's hard to find these kinds of channels for girls with short nails. Thank you so much, Kelli!!! P.S. I love your videos! Keep up with the great job!
I can't thank you enough for the 3rd removal hack. I have really sensitive skin, but I love glitter polishes. Recently, I was having difficulty removing polish, and I remembered your video. Grabbed a polish I don't use (we all have them) and it really worked!
FANTASTIC HACKS!!! #3 is a perfect way to use some of the nail polish colors in my collection that I did not like, but feel guilty about throwing away! THANK YOU!
Wow, thank you so much! I thought I would never be able to wear glitter nail polish again, because it was so painfully difficult to remove. Because of you, I will be able to be glittery again. xo~linda
Omg you’re a lifesaver! 😅 i tried #1 but maybe not long enough so i searched youtube and found you! I had to do #3 a few times on a couple very thick piles of glitter and it worked!!🎉🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for another great video. As someone who wears glitter nail polish I found this very informative, although I think I will avoid the latex as I like to wear my nail colour for a long time so once it is on I like it to stay on. I have found that when changing colour schemes it does take up to an hour to remove the polish off both hands, but that is a small price to pay for knowing that it isn't going to slide off.
How did I not know about these amazing, time saving hacks before?! I'm amazed! Combined with applying liquid latex to my cuticles, then sponging on the glitter polish...I'm in heaven! Can't wait to try these. Thank you Kelli! ❤😉
Came to this old video from your “how to remove gel polish video”. I recently have been wearing this nude/pink glitter franken polish I created but it’s been a pain to remove. Then in your gel polish video you mentioned this video. OMG totally going to try the putting fresh polish on top of the glitter polish to remove it. Thank you!!!
Thank you for the great tips plus pros & cons! I tried taking my glitter nail polish off with some Equate nourishing polish remover and it was like using water and my glitter polish didn't budge! Great tips!!
Oh and I've kept it on for as long as 4 days. I'm sure it would have lasted longer but I usually change my polish every two days. I didn't see any lifting after the 4 days. I love it, and use it as my base now always.
I realize this video is over two years old but you blew my mind with the polish over the glitter trick! Now I have a use for some of my less-than-favorite polishes! 😄
I think I'ts not because of her nail polish remover but she uses oil stuff that are good for your nails and cuticles. I think that she made a video about her nail products. x
i remember he mentioning that she uses the remover in the blue bottle.. the nourishing one or something. because i use oils and products, but acetone still dries out my cuticles. so i think it matters, I'm just curious
i just watched this! i'm new to nail art...i love glitter but hate taking it off!!!! number 3 is going to be my go to! THANKS!!!! ps....i think you are AWESOME!!!!!!!!
I'm a guy just getting into possibly transitioning. Thank you so much. I'm so clueless. I like to wear short term. As in one day at a time so that latex idea is perfect
I wonder if trick 1 or 3 will be better for toes, especially for me getting glittter regular polish during a spa pedicures nearly 2 months ago. There is mostly glitter left on about 2/3 of my big toenails; also, I'm someone who can get flare-ups of nail psoriasis with a form of of psoriatic arthritis. Anyway, I found this video earlier today, and maybe for the right toe, it came off more easily than the left when using a scented polish remover that is part acetone. I totally need to do this again, or try that polish trick. Thanks for this video. Almost no video talks about glitter nail polish on the toes. My gel polish removal kit has the clips for fingertips, so maybe very few of my toes would let such a clip go on
LOVE THIS TREMENDOUSLY! I was giggling to myself during your 3rd hack, and my son asks me "Do you always just laugh to yourself?" And I said "Ya". He didn't understand why I would do that. Lol
I put on glitter yesterday and have to remove the nail polish for work tomorrow and I couldn't remember how so I searched this video out. Thanks for doing it!
Hi Kelli! I just wanted to compliment you on how AMAZING the quality is in your videos. The only thing is the sound. I'm not sure if its my computer but on your videos only it sounds more muffled than in your old videos. I'm not sure if this is a thing that is out of your control and you have a cold or something or you changed the stuff you use for recording I just thought you might want to know. Also I really LOVE that background! :D I was also wondering if you would consider doing hauls or a makeup tutorial on how you do your gorgeous makeup or even beauty life hacks. If you want to stick to nail art though, that's completely fine. I absolutely love your videos, you totally deserve a million subscribers!
Oh gosh thank you so much for this comment! I agree, my new videos do sound more muffled - I got a new microphone and I've been trying to adjust the settings, but I think I just might be mumbling into it too much! Haha. I really appreciate you bringing it up - I might have to try a little harder on the sound quality! But thank you so much for your compliments on the video. As far as doing other lifestyle/beauty videos, I definitely want to start doing those too! Stay tuned ;)
Agreed! The removal process is the worst. Even I am guilty of forgetting to use the second and third methods, haha. But I will definitely remember to do them now!
Hey Kelli, for video ideas you could do a nail polish dupes video or recommended drugstore nail polishes because here in Australia OPI is $20 a bottle !!!
This is just amazing. I love glitter nail polishes but I hate to take them off. Now I'm going to put them because now I can put them off. Thanks to you 😍
+The Planner Place haha I know exactly how you feel! I am obsessed with the nail polish trick, it's perfect for polishes you don't really like but don't want to throw out!
I had glitter polish on while I was trying to get these balls out of my daughters hair. I was using conditioner to help get the tangles out. After I was done my polish started coming off. Next time I wear glitter polish I am going to soak my fingers in conditioner to see if that gets it off.
+Missy Evitt that's an interesting trick Missy! I bet it had to do with the moisture. When I have my hands wet or submerged for a long time, my nail polish sometimes pops off in one piece!
+Michelle McElroy LOL! Well I'd rather be indoors watching RUclips too tbh, hahahah! I hope you're enjoying them so far though, welcome to my channel :P
I did not know the removing with more nail polish trick, that is great and I am definitely going to try it! Great for if you have colors or formulas you didn't end up liking maybe? I also wonder if using a drop of nail polish *thinner* would accomplish the same thing? I picked up a bottle 4 oz for 97 cents at Ulta. I may try that as well and report back!
Okay, I did not have full on glitter nails -- but I did some preliminary testing. Although the thinner does work, I am not convinced it works better than actual POLISH. Also, I realized they do not sell it with the intention of using it right on the skin, so... use at your own risk! I plan to do full glitter nails on a regular base coat soon, and test both ways of removing. That will be a much better test. I will report back then!
Ok! So I did a better test just now, and here are my results. I wore the polish (Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure "Mermaid's Tale") for several days, and could not get the glitter to come off as easily as yours did in the video. Could be, if you wear for just part of a day, it comes off easier because it might not be fully cured. I also had on a normal, ridge-filling base coat; not sure if that makes removal worse. I found that using polish and also using lacquer thinner both helped with removal, but neither seemed superior. I tried several polishes and topcoats to see if any particular product seemed better, but there didn't seem to be. It did probably still take me a good 20 min total to remove all my polish, but it probably would have taken longer with just acetone.. Ugh. Also, I did look up the MSDS on lacquer thinner and they say that some people might develop irritation with prolonged and/or repeated exposure. It doesn't sound horrible, but if you do try this, be smart and wash your hands afterwards. My verdict: lacquer thinner doesn't work any better than polish for this purpose. I'm going to try my UNT peel-off base coat again. It works great in terms of removal -- a little too great -- my first nail popped off within an hour. I will try a more careful application next time and see if I can make it work for a bit longer.
i can't thank you enough for these tips!!!! so so sooo grateful!! i love glitter nail polish but have always struggled to remove them so i stopped using them! time to go shopping now! lol!!!
+Annie S haha I was the same way! I loved wearing glitter but it just wasn't worth the effort of removal. These tricks will change the game for you! :)
You are amazing! I just subscribed to your channel. I had no faith in this video, because I have been seeing the same old wasteful tricks for years, everyone using cotton and/or foil with tons of nail polish remover... But your second and third methods were completely new to me, and I LOVE them! What even IS that third one, tho? Hahaha! So, thank you so much for sharing these! Definitely gonna try the third one (and the second, if I can find latex base coat in my city)!
+AndressaMJFan lol! I have no idea! A few people have commented saying that the solvent in the polish dissolves the glitter, but I'm not too sure haha! I was shocked when I first tried it and now I do it all the time with old polishes I don't like :) and thank you for subscribing! Let me know if you have any tutorial requests :)
I don't know if anyone else commented about this, but I heard that nail polish is essentially nail polish remover and color (the stuff that dries is what remover is made of; acetate I think), so that is why the glitter polish comes off from applying regular nail polish. It seeps into the cracks of the glitter and makes it easy to take it off
I tried out #3 and didn’t have too much luck unfortunately… maybe they need to be the same brand? I’ve also heard that in a pinch you can do a couple of coats of Elmer’s glue as your base instead of liquid latex (probably wouldn’t last as long but hey!)
Third hacked worked a bit better for me, though I had to do it a few times on the old glitter pedi. Good that I have a few colors at home. Besides the other nail condition mentioned, I have not searched this yet, but I wonder if there are good polish removal hacks for someone who is also recently diagnosed with a kind of diabetes?
Your videos are truly excellent, I really loved the one about how to apply glitter polish correctly...that works BEAUTIFULLY...but I couldn't get #3 here to work. I see from the comments it worked for other people...what am I doing wrong??? I painted a layer and tried to remove immediately, that didn't work. So I painted a layer and waited a bit, that didn't work either. I tried it with a couple different polishes. Maybe my glitter polish is just super awesomely strong??? Lol...
+The Grim Reapers aw man! Well I have noticed with like CRAZY glitters (like the Zoya Pixie Dusts) I have to put on a layer of color, wait a minute or two, wipe it off, and then do ANOTHER layer of color, wait another minute, and wipe it off again.
So awesome you responded! Thank you! I'm going to try it again. And I didn't realize till you responded that I'm signed in as my kid lol...my name is kelli too!
LOL NAIL POLISH ON NAIL POLISH HAHA NICE TRICK KELLI
+Simply Nailogical (Cristine) Thanks Cristine! It's a pretty cool trick for someone like me who has so many polishes :)
+Kelli Marissa awe I didn't know you two know each other 😭 love you both ❤❤❤
I love u simply
holo!
Holo Christine
A reason not to throw away the nail polish you don't like. Thanks.
+ahlamns yes exactly!!! :)
Yeah, just give it to someone else
Love your 'PROS' and 'CONS' of each method! Thank you!
+Karli Z thanks for watching, Karli! Let me know if you have any requests!
Omg I found this channel and her nails are short which is perfect because I have short nails and it's hard to find these kinds of channels for girls with short nails. Thank you so much, Kelli!!! P.S. I love your videos! Keep up with the great job!
Oh thank you so much Eliana :) I'm so happy to inspire you, thanks so much for watching!!
I love her videos. I also have short nails and all of Kelli's videos are just so awesome!
Your voice is very easy to listen to & the relaxing music is perfect
Great tips too 😁👍 obvs
thank you !!!!! i literally stopped wearing glitter polish because i didn't like taking it off lol
+Breanna Felton yay now you can wear glitter again!! :)
I thought I was the only one lol
Same
I can't thank you enough for the 3rd removal hack. I have really sensitive skin, but I love glitter polishes. Recently, I was having difficulty removing polish, and I remembered your video. Grabbed a polish I don't use (we all have them) and it really worked!
+NammyEE yay! I'm so glad I could help!! I have found it really useful for removal after wearing glittery polish for a long time :)
I'm SO interested in trying #3. Never heard of it, and it's a great way to effectively use up polish you hate!
It's really surprising and fun haha I love doing it now!
FANTASTIC HACKS!!! #3 is a perfect way to use some of the nail polish colors in my collection that I did not like, but feel guilty about throwing away! THANK YOU!
I feel the exact same way! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video :) :)
I love that you get straight to the point. I hate listening to people drone on and on and usually don't go back to them so...thanks
+Melisa Rowe haha I'm glad you enjoyed!
Thank you so much for this. I love the glitter polish, but hated the process of taking it off. This is a life saver!😆
+Shauntay haha I know exactly how you feel!
You have changed my life lol. I love glitter polish but hated taking it off. Love you so much for these tips
Hehe so happy I could help ya!!
i sometimes use nail polish to get old nail polish off if i have no remover.. always has worked for me
Wow, thank you so much! I thought I would never be able to wear glitter nail polish again, because it was so painfully difficult to remove. Because of you, I will be able to be glittery again.
xo~linda
I think the 3rd hack works because the solvent in the fresh nail polish helps dissolving the glitter layer.
+nandaghiggi that makes sense!
Applying wet polish reactivates the old polish, I believe. 😊
That makes sense!
Wow, the nail polish method is wild...can't wait to try it!
+shana r isn't it crazy?! Haha. I still can't believe it works!!
Omg you’re a lifesaver! 😅 i tried #1 but maybe not long enough so i searched youtube and found you! I had to do #3 a few times on a couple very thick piles of glitter and it worked!!🎉🙏🙏🙏
Oh yay I'm glad it worked!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Ooh I'm so glad you found this one helpful Monica!! :)
Using nail polish, that is amazing, I would not have believed it, without seeing it, thank you Kelli
Haha agreed, it blew my mind!!
Haha good luck!!
That one little glitter at 3:19 was killing me😂😂
Hahaha I don't know how I didn't notice it!!!
Lol, I love the OCD Sisterhood :D
wow I feel like my life has been completely changed
+bleedingspade haha isn't it wild?!
@Kelli Marissa I'm allergic to Latex and can't use it at all
bleedingspade omg yarss
Polish-on-polish is the best trick ever. I can't wait to try this!
+Jennifer Penucevski haha yes it's so neat isn't it??
HOLY CRAP! The polish one is amazeballs! Thank you!
Connie
+conyeah02 so happy you found it helpful, Connie! :)
That last tips is awesome.
+K Kallweit isn't it crazy?? :)
I love wearing glittery nail polish but removing them is always hectic. You made my life easy. Thank You my nail polish loving friend. 💅🏽😇
I just discovered your channel and wow!! You have some of the greatest nail tips and they're all right to the point. Thank you!!
+luvsbeauty oh I'm so happy to hear you are enjoying my videos! Thank you so much :)
Woooow that nail polish trick is wild! Thanks for sharing. I will try that 😊

+Emily Rachel Gilley yes, isn't it wild?! Haha!
I realize this video is over two years old but you blew my mind with the polish over the glitter trick! Now I have a use for some of my less-than-favorite polishes! 😄
Haha yes exactly!!
OMG This is really helpfull!!! Thankyou so much for sharing!! 😍❤️ much love from Indonesia 🇮🇩 ❤️
So glad you found it helpful!
Which nail polish remover do you use? It doesn't dry out your cuticles at all, they look great.
All great ideas! I find that using an old sock helps too with glitter, the material makes it easy to wipe off, thanks!!
+Leaping Lily oh that's such an interesting idea! I'll have to try it next time I have an old/mismatched sock!
Wow!! I freaked out when you did the polish over the glitter first. Thank you for that!! Amazing
+Jessica Gowan haha isn't it the craziest trick ever?!
Whoop there it is!! Thanks for these, esp the last one, polish on polish!! Gonna try it!
Thanks! Your videos are so helpful and fun to listen to.
i just watched this! i'm new to nail art...i love glitter but hate taking it off!!!! number 3 is going to be my go to! THANKS!!!! ps....i think you are AWESOME!!!!!!!!
I'm a guy just getting into possibly transitioning. Thank you so much. I'm so clueless. I like to wear short term. As in one day at a time so that latex idea is perfect
I really like that nail polish over glitter to remove the glitter polish trick will definitely try that out. Thank you !
+Jane Ayers I'm so glad you found it helpful Jane!!
That last tip worked great. And we all have that one color that we never use because it looked better in the bottle. Now it gets used!
Haha exactly! I never knew such a cool trick existed!
I just tried the “no foil” method to remove red glitter polish and it worked like a charm! Thanks!
+Jenn B. I’m so glad it worked for you Jenn!!
OMG I DIDNT THOUGHT IT WOULD WORK BUT IT ACTUALLY DID THANK U SO MUCH! (I used the first one)
Haha happy I could help!
Lol
It’s by far the weirdest trick ever, I really can’t believe it works lol
The nail polish method!!!! Oh my gosh ! Thank you so much!! I am so using that one.
Right?! I still cant believe it works haha.
I put on glitter yesterday and have to remove the nail polish for work tomorrow and I couldn't remember how so I searched this video out. Thanks for doing it!
+Jessica Smith haha I'm glad you remembered about this one Jessica!
I tried the first way and it worked perfectly! Thanks so much for this video, Kelli!
+Joylyn Kim I'm so glad you found it helpful, Joylyn!!
No freaking way!!!! Hack 3, Life CHANGED!! Thanks Kelli, excellent tip!
Happy to help 😁😁
Great video! Love glitter polishes but hate the removal process! I usually use the first method but will have to try the other two!
Agreed! The removal process is the worst. Even I am guilty of forgetting to use the second and third methods, haha. But I will definitely remember to do them now!
omg gotta try hack 3! i have old nail polish i can use!! thanks
I didn't know method 3, thanks for showing it! I have a few nailpolishes I don't really like so I know what I'll be using them for from now on.
+Lorre F yes it's an awesome way to use up polish you don't love! Haha!
Hey Kelli, for video ideas you could do a nail polish dupes video or recommended drugstore nail polishes because here in Australia OPI is $20 a bottle !!!
+Rachel Jamas That's a great idea! I can't believe OPI is so expensive for you :(
I'm late to the party, but thanks Kelli! These are nail hacks that actually work!! You da best!
Happy to help 😄
This was so incredibly helpful!!! Thank u ❤
This is just amazing. I love glitter nail polishes but I hate to take them off. Now I'm going to put them because now I can put them off. Thanks to you 😍
Yay I'm so happy I could help!!
I like the third hack as I have so many polishes I don't use anymore...Thanks!
Yay happy to help!
Love the third method!
:)
This works soooo good!!! Great job
Thank you!!
More magic tips👏🏻 thank you! I love glitter during December but it's such a pain to remove💅🏼
+The Planner Place haha I know exactly how you feel! I am obsessed with the nail polish trick, it's perfect for polishes you don't really like but don't want to throw out!
OMG- I have never seen the last one - I am going to use up my cheap, terrible polish trying this!
Yes it’s the perfect use for them!
Thank you I didn't know that last one will have to try it 😍
+Jessie Merritt so glad to help you out :) :) let me know how it works for you!
The third could use up polish you don't like and aren't going to use. Thank you!
I heard somewhere when I was reading a bunch of facts that nail polish itself is essentially nail polish remover with color, so that's why it works
I can’t say I’ve heard that one before!
Ugh I love glitter polish, but refuse to wear it because it's a pain to remove haha I'll give these a go again
Lol I completely understand! It can be a pain without these methods!
Oh my gosh this is so amazing! I can't wait to try tip 3! Great video!
Haha glad you enjoyed it Claire! Thanks so much for watching :)
Great! I like these hacks! Totally worked on me :) Thank you so much.
Thanks so much. This worked a treat. Much appreciated
Using nail polish to remove the glitter polish is genius! Like dissolves like, so that is why it works…but never thought to try it…
I just found out about you today and here I am. During summer. Binge watching your videos. For like 7 hours.
+Michelle McElroy LOL! Well I'd rather be indoors watching RUclips too tbh, hahahah! I hope you're enjoying them so far though, welcome to my channel :P
Kelli Marissa I definitely am, I subscribed after one or two videos😂
Totally going to use the Nail Polish method to help me speed up finishing that nail polish I don't like anymore! 😁
these are amazing gotta try these out x
wow number 3 looks amazing!!! im trying that one! xx
+Ellie Jones it's the best trick! I can't believe it works haha.

WOW! Another game changer ❤️
Now you know all the glitter secrets!
very useful info.....thank you.....I like the 3rd option best....
+Marie Ayala I'm glad you found it helpful!!
and can you do a vid about how to be able to paint with both of your hands, and happy thanksgiving!
Your videos are so informative!! Thank you!
Happy to help :)

+kissandra oh wow I didn't know that! Thanks for sharing :)
All my life I used the nail polish trick; polish on polish. Its awesome. It’s best to use just any cheap clear polish you don’t care about.
Yes it's so cool!!!
Amazing!! Now no more struggle to remove glitter polish😊😊
+Kirti Manglani happy to help:)
I tried out #3 and didn’t have too much luck unfortunately… maybe they need to be the same brand? I’ve also heard that in a pinch you can do a couple of coats of Elmer’s glue as your base instead of liquid latex (probably wouldn’t last as long but hey!)
love ur nail art!!
Thank you sooo much :)

Besides the other nail condition mentioned, I have not searched this yet, but I wonder if there are good polish removal hacks for someone who is also recently diagnosed with a kind of diabetes?
First method is perfect! Thanks :)

The last trick was amazing! I almost don’t believe it. I will have to try it to believe it.😂 Thanks for sharing.
Haha let me know how it goes!
This polish is stunning! What color is it?? Great tips btw - I've sometimes avoided glitters because of the headache.
+Kamilah R. Thanks so much Kamilah! The polish is KBShimmer sELFie!
It's so hard to remove glitter, I'll try the third hack! Thank you!
Nice hacks...will try the 3rd one😊
Let me know how it goes!!
Kelli Marissa sure will tell u
Holy snap the nail Polish trick is great! Did you put top coat to?
+Krizzy Burbz thanks! Nope, top coat isn't necessary :) although I bet that would work instead as well!
Wow I’m going to try the last trick, thank you! 😃
Happy to help!!
