For the skate boot they could just have the boot turn into the skate boot on the snow themed stages It will go slower on normal platforms but on my kind of ice it will go faster and skate Though it will be hard to control but you can easily jump and hold back to slow it down
Rolling hills and gears could be the same thing A giant circle of ground that you place down and can make it bigger or smaller and it rolls But in like airship or castle levels you get the gear And rolling hills/ gears can be placed halfway of the stage on the floor or just in the air
For the 3D objects, a lot of them are hard to imagine in 2D. I feel that Nintendo tried adding a lot of 3D World objects to make it really defining, but couldn't just because all the objects are hard to interpret in 2D.
There are a few you missed 1. Baddie Box 2. Those platforms that go up and down on one side (Forgot what this is called) 3. On/off burners (burners that stay on until you hit an on/off switch)

I don`t know why people expect so much from mario maker... Even if they did add all this stuff, their would probably be 100 more things people could think of and beg for...
I think in both Mario Maker games they're careful to add items that open up many possibilities, not just one or two. So there will be a lot of things that they simply won't add because they will add very little to the game. That's not to say there aren't good additions on this list though.
I have some new never before seen ideas for smm2 1. Thunder cloud when you tap on lakitu you can get the thunder cloud with this the cloud will follow you and struck lighting every once in a while (You can make it big too for extra big lightning bolts) 2. Flimsy seasaws It's a blue seasaw platform exept when it gets to it's highest/lowest point it falls. So you can make it on tracks for a challenge. Reply what you think
How about warp zones, in the NSMB series when going up to a certain secret area there was these fade-ins that act like warp pipes without entering a top, they have the Yoshi island death fade in, but going up and down Example: 9:35 I just think it would be a good idea
Also falling leaves from Donkey Kong country tropical freeze, after falling to a certain point of the screen they disappear, and they can be blown in the air by twisters, also sideways twisters.

I agree with you about the spike blocks. Not because I want to connect them to anything on rails but because would really like to see them point into certain directions, instead of just having them point all over the place. This way, you could make spiked floors, walls, and ceilings. The function doesn't have to change. In the game Wally: Land of the Wallows, spikes will automatically point away from whatever you place them next to. Nintendo surely could have done the same 11 years later. This would have made them look a lot more authentic!
Plessie would be pretty anticlimactic in a two-dimensional space, so they would have to introduce three-dimensional levels for that to be worth adding, and I would totally be for that. One thing they should add that wasn't mentioned in this video is cannon pipes. The ones where you go down the pipe and you get launched into the air. You could set the launch angle, and the speed until you get the landing position just right. It would be really cool
if its added, nintendo should make you get it by dragging an enemy to a Warp Box. enemies like chararvarrgh, koopa cars, thwomps, of meowser wouldn't work
My feelings about some: The Moveable Terrain would probably be hard to predict or really hard to add to the game, and kind of hard to add to your course. It was already bad enough when one went up and I was next to it in Super Mario World. I got crushed by the autoscroll and the terrain. Poles shouldn't be added as a seperate item. Maybe a style of the vine in a ghost house? The Giant Vine would need to be a style in a vertical stage, and the leaves would be there in the stage? Chains would need to be a style of vines. A hidden wall is what you talk about in this video at one point, and it would make troll levels MUCH worse. For the giant bowser hand, it should be in some sort of new style. Falling lava should be added if Nintendo makes a Volcano Style. Maybe adding it as a generator for people should be easy for Nintendo? The screw platform would be great. I think it'd suit Athletic and Airship styles. The weighted platforms would be really hard to use without your level becomes that level in World 5, New Super Mario Bros. Wii. The tightrope would be very useful. They are like Donut Platforms, but much better. Sand pits [Quicksand] Would be epic for hiding a star-coin or a pink coin. Stairs would be good. Jumbo Rays? Y E S. They are one of my favourite! So are Parabeetles! The coin block head would be really good, but they'd have to add some sort of thing for NSMBU to make it look good. The rope? Well, that's awesome! It could create moments where there is danger ahead [Fire Ball things? Podoboos?] And it's autoscrolling. That'd make players get a tiny bit scared. Scuttle Webs? That'd need Scuttle Bugs to be added if you want to make Scuttle Webs feel better to use, in my opinion. Spike Balls? Y E S Wii need them! Get it? Oh... Sorry. Jump Flip Panels? Y E S. Spin Cogs would need the tanooki suit to be added to SM3DW in SMM2, but that'd be awesome to have. Plessie? We'll need a beach theme or we can just add nothing to the forest theme except spike stuff and flying enemies for Plessie. Piranha Pot? Well, the Piranha Plant got into Smash. So why not have a Piranha Pot in SMM2? Others that should be added: Koopalings Triple Blocks

Something pretty cool would be Clear Pipes in all game styles, why not? They were in 2D games!! And i think something cool would be the Big ? Blocks from 3D games, just to fit in the decoration.

Hi, you can find almost all of them in fan game called SMBX, you can make your graphics, and set their flags! It include blocks and enemies from smb, smb2, smb3, smw, metroid and legend of zelda! You can move with almost everything! You can move tanks, which you can move them any way, also there are stairs, and quicksand! You can make all kind of things! Just read the tutorial!! You can also make lava wawes! Only thing you can't make is the thing you cant think of! There is always way to do something! Just take look at it, im using it from about 7 years! And if you dont see something, that you want, create it! Make its look, set its flags and set it as something! Try it, its free! But be carefull, there were constant hacker attacks so download it with antivirus! Good luck!
One of the things I’ve wanted sense smm1 is a separate game, super mario 3D maker where you can make 3D levels from 3D games obviously not smb1 more like super mario 64, galaxy, etc.
i would like spine coasters but they are probably too similar to lava lifts (the skull platforms) on tracks. they should fix the skulls so that you can't go through them though
I hope super Mario maker 3 (if it ever comes) would have a twist on it. That you can make 3D levels instead of being limited to only X and Y. That you can also can choose to Z Because 3(D)

Spikes can't go on tracks, the example you showed of stairs, you can't just run up them.
And don't forget the three themes we have the beach, mountain and volcanic

There were Baddy Boxes in Super Mario 3D Land. They spawn enemies out of them like pipes and Bullet Blasters, but they can be killed with a Super Star

Correction about the number platforms: they go down over time once you jump on them for the first time, not every time you jump.

How about being able to set quicksand the way you can set water, lava, or poison?

That's not how SMW number platforms work at all. It's a timer, the number is how many seconds before it falls.
