  • Hear ye, hear ye! , and listen, to the Stories of Old...
In my fantasy compositions, the focus has largely been on ''wilderness'' exploration compositions, but ''Stories of Old'' is inspired by more pastoral, countryside, renaissance, medieval type setting.
🏰 Explore the medieval hold with its city, and traverse the dirt roads to the villages.
🎧 Headphones + 4K Fullscreen are highly recommended. Enjoy the video!

What music can you find on this channel:
    ⛰️Fantasy Music
Downtempo, relaxing tracks that make you get engrossed in fantasy plots, yet keep you relaxed at the same time. It's a perfect reading fantasy-friendly music genre, and awesome if you love to meditate. Like books and movies categorized under the same moniker, it sparks a sense of wonder, imagination, magic and other-worldliness.
This atmospheric music is inspired by enormous mountain vistas, starry skies, vast oceans and other grand and otherworldly places. It can calm the nerves, provide inspiration during homework studies / writing and creates a wonderful atmosphere no matter where you are.
    ⚔️Old Norse Music
Dark viking tracks, using old traditional instruments. Inspired by germanic culture and lore. It's a combination of ambient, ritual and folk.
The sound of the music ranges from the transcendental drones of the ancient bowed lyre Tagelharpa to the unmatched grace of the gut-stringed Lyre to the distinctive and characteristic sound of Nordic bone and overtone flutes.
You'll also find war horns, mystical chants and throat singing, thunderous mighty percussion and frame-drums ready for battle. It transports you to the dark ages, where the worlds of history and mythology overlap.
    🎼Mockups
Covers of my favorite video game soundtracks, mainly of the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt soundtracks, using the software FL Studio 20 and MIDI controllers. All mockups and covers have free MIDI files available to download.

Oh wow....this is lovely! I can tell you really put a lot of love into your compositions and have a lot of experience. I love the way I feel listening to this. I kind of feel nostalgic for another time, a time I have never experienced (being born in 2000, that would apply to any year that starts with a 1), is there a word for such a phenomenon?

Found you through Chapter II. This is my favorite song of yours. The harmony at 1:18 is very interesting, I really was not expecting it. Also love the progression at 3:02, so romantic, sounds even sort of jazzy/Gershwin-y, especially with the oboe (?) flourish at the end. If you're not too bothered, what were your references for this piece? I'd be even more grateful if you could provide some recommendations similar to this.

Thanks for the detailed comment! The setting in my mind for this composition was a renaissance/medieval city setting so I gave it a more old time/antique flavour.
For the antique sound with more diminished, augmented chords and perfect cadences, I recommend Bach's orchestral suites and for that more romantic sound Debussy's preludes.
So-called ''light music'' (i.e. Eric Coates) is also worth checking out. Hope you find something you enjoy!
Oh, and I have a spotify playlist with ''ambient fantasy'' not as specific, but thought I'd share.

@@DreymaComposer Thank you again. It's great to have a specific direction when it comes to Bach because to this day I still haven't dug that deep, being intimidated just by the sheer amount of work he's done.
I have a personal recommendation as well in case you want to venture deeper into the niche, jazzier side of contemporary music: the recently passed away Nikolai Kapustin's Cello Concerto No. 2. I think that is the friendliest introduction to the composer.
I'll definitely be checking out your playlist.
