    4000 is the initial climb clearance might be the transition altitude as well.. whereas qnh altimeter 30.24 form is only used when flying in and out of usa

    In the US Baro unit is in inHg and not HPA. 4000 feet is the initial climb via the SID cleared by atc

      @Jamesrush737 5 месяцев назад

      well climb via SID is not be used in many cases because it can only be used when there are airspace’s fixes on the chart with altitudes lower than the top altitude. Even if the fixes do have altitudes but are higher than the top altitude than climb via SID cannot be used

    4000 i think the climb clearance and 30.24 is barometer in USA (both can be asked from ATC)

    4000 is probably your first altitude restriction

    So initial altitude is set because of the barometric pressure so you’re actually already at 4000 feet before taking off bcuz the airport is at that altitude. And QNH IS DESIGNED FOR AIRPORT ALTITUDE NOT SEA LEVEL ALTITUDE

    Well, you got your baro pressure from ATIS. And you got your altitude from your clearance. Climb and maintain 4 thousand on departure, await further, or expect a different altitude so many minutes or so after departure.

    4000 could be transition altitude, and 30.24 if in US there are inches of mercury (29.92 STD) if wrong correct me please

    Asnwer 1st qts is because some country give airport elevation in inch of mercury
    And 2 nd qts answer is that is initial altitude you are clr to.

    4000 is the climb clearance given by the ats and the unit of inhg you can change it to hecto pascal by rotating the knob behind where you get 1024hpa

  • @refness3108
    @refness3108 Год назад

    Maybe because the pressure at the field elevation or QFE is 30.24 which is lower than 1013.25 or QNE or maybe the qnh is at sea level is 30.24 and the 4000 is your intial climb altitude but am not sure...

    your unit of measurement is INHG, not HPA
    i belive you have your alt set at 4000 because thats your transition altitude

    Don’t know too much about barometric pressure but I would assume that you would change it for get told to change it by your computer system to the correct pressure for your environment and cruising altitude. And well I mean setting either your cruising altitude or the altitude told my atc for you to set is just common sense before taking off, not setting up the autopilot is like flying blind👍🏻 lmk if I was wrong on anything, like to learn new things everyday😁

    QNH because you have selected inHg instead hPa, and the 4000 is the selected initial climb 😎🎩
