- Soaking wet tracks in the victorian high country, it rained all day making filming a tough gig but we got it done and have put together a 4wd action packed video. rivers were high and the winches were out.

Open diff demo right there. Front locker on the GU would've made a world of difference. Nice driving in the wet boys. Nice and slow and only sending it when absolutely necessary. Well done.

The gu goes in next week for new rear locker and one in the front too. Got the y62 twin locked now also 💪
@@4x4brothers As much as the LSD is good in the Patrols you still can't beat twin locked.

came down number 1 track Saturday turned back, after seeing the video made the right call. Great video keep them coming.
Would have been fairly wet Saturday morning too if they got all the rain Friday night out there.

@@4x4brothers I live in Canada. Very few diesel trucks, other than the American big three, only recently started to get the Y 62 here. None of the older Patrols or even Landcruisers.

As many times as I've been to Walhalla cant say I've done all the deep creek tracks should get around to it at some point
Definatly worth a drive mate they are great tracks. We have only driven 1 and 4 both directions. Might poke my head up the rest some time and check them out

What are they like, any issues with it?
Would you get enough wood for 1 night from 1 battery?
Appreciate the support mate. That saw was pretty good did have a few times where it cut out thinking maybe over temperature. Then got wet and wrecked the battery. Got the 18v Milwaukee with a high output 12ah battery and that’s definitely better easily cuts 2 nights worth of wood. Have a 12v charger for it also so never had battery issues with it. Setup seems a lot more durable
For cutting really big stuff and a heap of it still can’t go past a petrol saw

You weren’t wrong about being wet. That deep creek track looks more like your driving up a creek. Great stuff again and you kicked ass on the all terrains. 🍻🔥🌧
You do actually drive the river for probably 500m it's an amazing drive.

Just curious is that the famous super steep and gnarly deep creek 4 that range rover rolled down on?? (RUclips video)
It's been many years since I've been there and it doesn't look anything like it on this video. I also thought DC4 was closed years ago.
It's awesome up around there. Both those deep creeks have changed alot there were alot of roll overs and they have since taken alot of the off camber out of the tracks and widened up a few sections too.

@@hodzy4x4 yeah it's still plenty of fun but how it used to be took alot more care needed
The LR that rolled was going up a section that had been blocked off and bypassed with a new track. Still steep in a few places as you saw in this video, but safer. The long straight downhill to the creek never gets mentioned much, but it's definitely a sphincter tightener even in the dry. Almost as eye opening as the Mt Joan downhill section.
Give a front diff locker mainly to Y61 and to Y61 owner Mik more courage and 4x4 driving skills, then it will be so much better.
Front locker would make a big difference where he gets hung up
