Thanks Alejandro! I'll try to have it both compatible with X-Plane and FS2020 likely using MobiFlight. I'm working with SimVim and it might be another possibility.
@@CaptainBobSim I think simvim is a bit easier. It would be wonderful if compatible with both of them. The problem is that you would probably have to change the arduino each time you change the Sim.
Looking forward to see this project, the c172 is a great airplane. Will you share the project files? Cause I’m in the ppl course, and building this cockpit too could help me in the near future.
If you make a force feedback yoke I will consider buying it from you. I have the Logitech G Yoke and I hate it. I hate that it centers itself I KNOW a real yoke would never go back to center if you applied enough force it would just stay there until you pulled back the sim world NEEDS a force feedback yoke please help Captain Bob!
Prolly a dumb question but...any idea how to get mobiflight to activate a switch that doesn’t have a key binding? It’s the aero soft f16...it has some switches that I can’t find offsets for..
If I understand the problem correctly: In the input tab you can select "keyboard key" under the FSUIPC list, and set it to any keyboard shortcut. I'm not experienced with Aerosoft, but it could maybe be answered in the MobiFlight forum?
Hey Cp Bob, I have been asking for assistance but no one is responding. You seem you know mobiflight pretty damn well. I have a radio, rotary switch, rotary encoder. Using the push for mhz/kHz is pretty simple it seems BUT I want to use the rotary switch setup as preconditions for ADF, COM1, COM2, NAV1, NAV2 and use the rotary for all of them. Where can I find how to do that? I am LucidFX on discord
Hey Sean! I must be honest, I haven't used preconditions yet, so don't know how much help I can be. 3/4 of the way down from the documentation, there is a section on preconditions. www.mobiflight.com/en/documentation/software.html I'd set each rotary switch position as a configuration row and add a precondition on the display. Try starting out to see if you can get two separate features to work, then add the other three. I think the best way would be to use the Config. Make sure to press apply. I think a good source for help would be the MobiFlight forum or MobiFlight discord.
@@CaptainBobSim I'll start working on this. Busy finalising the design of a generic panel mixed for GA and simple map based on 737 functionality. That should HOPEFULLY give a lot of the functionality needed to get off the ground, communicate/navigate and then land
Cessna 172
"Legend of the sky"
I bought a t-shirt with this merch at the international air fest. :):)
Great! Hope you finish the project. I'll follow your steps and watch your videos!
Thanks for tuning in Joselio!
Good luck man . I’m following your project .

Thanks Javier! Your support and advice has been very valuable to the project.
That looks freaking awesome man!!!
Thanks Max! I'm excited!
👏👏👏 Congrats Captain Bob.
Thanks coutofh!
Good luck Capitan! What simulator will you use? Have you tested simvim with X-Plane?

Thank you none None!

I'll share almost all of the files on Thingiverse. I love the 172 :) Good luck with your PPL!!

Eventually :) There are a lot of impossibilities I need to turn into possibilities.
I am also starting with you
Excellent, Good luck with your simulator!

Thanks I’ll try!
How setup GPS in home cockpit Cessna?
I think the simplest way for X-Plane would be SimVim

@@CaptainBobSim i have been trying the preconditions but either inam dumb or its pretty complicated 😂
Any way to contact you
Other than email
You just did!
My Instagram and Discord are in the description, feel free to DM me with those.
Why cant you fly? Are you colorblind? Bummer, keep it up!
Yeah, mild deutan colorblind, so I can’t fly at night. I would like to pursuit my PPL if I can :) thanks for tuning in Alfredo !
