    I can see why Falon'din became revered as the shepherd of the dead. I can literally see the misconceptions and the propaganda from the real events mixing.
    If Falon'din was as bloodthirsty as he seemed, his people must have seen him as bringing glory by killing those he deemed to kill. An impetus to revere death caused by him leads to a misconception that he himself shepherded death.

    I love Solas (not the romance way, all-elfy romance is boring af, plus he killed Felassan and that is unforgivable)! And he is right, if the natural order is not restored, then the problems will only grow with time. I think demons appeared only after the veil, as spirits were corrupted by their desire to go to the physical world and were not able to do so anymore.
    And the Blight will never be finally defeated if the veil exists, because it will still survive in the fade in the black city. And as is known it already got once from the black city to the physical world, so it can do so again. I think the entities which spoke to tevinter magisters in their dreams and enticed them to go to the black city, were not old gods, but Evanuris, pretending to be old tevinter gods. They wanted magisters to bring Blight to physical world for some reason. The only way the blight and Evanuris can be really defeated is if the veil is torn down. So Solas is right

    • @LAZERAK47V2
      @LAZERAK47V2 2 года назад +4

      That's a good theory, but it doesn't explain why only certain dragons become Archdemons. I think the Tevinter Old gods were their own entities, especially given how Mythal (Flemeth) takes the soul of Urthemiel from Keiran if you performed the Ritual with Morrigan.
      As for your point about Solas being right about tearing down the Veil to destroy the Evanuris and the Blight, one could argue that a "Templar" solution (to cut the world off from the Fade entirely) would be a better one, as the Blight and the Evanuris would be trapped forever in the Fade (as well as Demons) and there would be no more magic in the world.
      A lot of suffering and a lot of cataclysms were the product of magical misuse, some would argue that getting rid of it entirely would be the best course of action. No more Blight, no more Spirits, no more Mages, ergo, no more Circles.
      Personally, I think there's some level of truth to all the faiths in the Dragon Age world, but that time and mortality caused deviations from the truth. The Titans existed and created the Dwarves, so the Stone is a real thing. The Tevinter Old gods and the Evanuris: real things.
      Now all we need is the Maker himself to show his hand in the story.

    • @Ryanfinder226
      @Ryanfinder226 2 года назад +1

      @@LAZERAK47V2 there is a theory that the dragons in the old road are “keys” helping keep the veil up or the evanuris contained. For each archdemon created by the blight the spell holding the doors closed to the evanuris might be getting opened more and more and as such it was in their favor to bring blight to the world to corrupt those keys.

    • @andrewvincent7299
      @andrewvincent7299 Год назад +1

      @@Ryanfinder226 That makes A LOT of sense. This could be why Solas is so salty about the Grey Wardens obsession of defeating all the Archdemons and the fact they truly have no idea what they're doing. I personally believe the dragons that become the Archdemons are the dragon avatars of the Evanuris. Similar to how Corypheus had his dragon as a separate entity and one he could almost merged with. Solas seemed to know and understand how Corypheus was able to do this, in my opinion because it was old elven magic that the Evanuris used.

    • @cracmar03
      @cracmar03 3 месяца назад

      @@andrewvincent7299 That would make sense, however .. we need to take into account that these dragons wished to be tainted by blight it seems ? They tricked Magisters to bring Blight back with them, but then immidiately fell silent. All of them. We know that Dumat became blighted first, and Tevinter reportedly stated that ALL Old Gods suddenly fell silent, be it slightly before first of them got tainted or afterwards of him becoming tainted.
      The dragons wanted Blight back into Thedas for some reason, and to become blighted .. but I don't think they thought of Gray Warden's existance that destroys them. If whole point was to die permanently .. why would they want to become blighted since technically they can't die this way ? They just jump around into next blighted body. Jumping to full fledged ghoul or darkspawn won't kill them. It will just make them reborn.
      Whole plan couldn't rely on mortals finally devising Gray Warden's on their own. Maybe whole plan was to make Thedas as Blighted as Gold City is ? And that could be some way of return of Evanuris ? Plus Mythal had guarding dragon, it is possible that Old Gods are old guarding dragons of respective Evanuris. It certainly would correspond that each of them was more intelligent, capable of communicating with mortal - like dragon of Mythal does - and each of them claimed to represent some traits and symbolism.
      That's why I think Urthamiel could have been related to Falon'Din, I mean even Magister of Urthamiel's full title "The Architect of Beauty" sounds like peak of vanity. Simialarly I think Chaos Dragon was Andruil as in myths Andruil is pretty mad woman. Fully capable of chaotic evil deeds.
      It's just .. something is still missing. It was never said that Dumat or darkspawn gave idea of Warden to mortals, so the dragons wanted to be free and undyingly blighted ? And we are told that souls are destroyed if they jump to Gray Warden body due to clash. Certainly Warden's is, but I don't recall hearing how soul of dragon survives - maybe it does some way, maybe Mythal collected carefully previous souls too. Maybe Sera indeed carries in herself Andruil's soul. Morrigan's dark ritual is only known way to preserve purified soul of these Old Gods.
