Hi Michele, This place and the shops reminded me of my favorite movies from the 70's when Clint Eastwood was in town. Very interesting content and the people are just so amazing, of course your purchase of the shoes ended up being very good and the Maasai were really very happy about your tip. Thank you my friend for a very joyfull video. I enjoyed watching. 🙏🙏🙏💙💙💙
Michele, I hope you stay there for a while and keep making videos, and if not, make more videos so you can keep uploading African videos even when you are back home. Your subscribers are growing steady, keep up the good work!
@@MichelePonte then you should start some kind of business there, i know some youtuber moved from london to africa(can't remember country at the moment) to start chicken farm, he has like 30000 chickens now living in very simple houses, there are many opportunities, it's like after the soviet union collapsed, first foreginers that started business there succeeded big, even the smallest ideas like hamburgers was a profitable business.
MIcheles generosity and friendliness is superior,so i think people shouldnt use it to their advantage.I think helping to people by Michele and buying shoes to friend is a very nice deed. That call in the end was kinda interesting and they lowered the price, what a phenomena happened Kobe got revived and come to pick you up,better ending you wouldnt expect.
Truth Ponte you are a kind man but u cannot keep giving what u don t have. Just Being nice respectful treating all people with respect in the best thing you doing in life very good example for all humanity.
That is really a cool & interesting bunch of street markets on the border. Nice selection of flip flops and interaction on the phone negotiating price. 🙂
The guys at the market were making fun of you and warning you against talking to the group of ladies at the Tailor shop. They said to be careful before they make you marry one of them.
Amazing, I love how you interact with people, I think if you could have asked for Masaai sandals at first it could have been easier,,, Indeed Abdizo he is an artist, he sounds like an intellect,,, then that friend of Abdizo was not being rude he was speaking sheng (Tushikanishia kakitu) means you (give them something small inform of cash) maybe you mistaken the tone 😂 Lastly, that guy who took you to the sandal shop he's very honest,,, 850 was very expensive,,, I enjoyed the video😊
Michele - Let me ask, in which country, where prices are haggled or bargained for, have you found it the most difficult? It has to be a bit frustrating to know that everytime you, the mzungu, wants to make a purchase, you’re most likely being charged a higher price. Yet, you knew this to be, before you ever stepped one foot off the plane when you landed. On the other side of the coin, these people are not rich by any means, and if they can pocket a little extra money, it just might mean they can have one more meal to eat. I found this video exciting to watch, and wondered what you would encounter as you met people along the way. With the exception the the guy wearing the blue and white t-shirt, everyone was friendly and outgoing, which seems to be instilled within the Kenyan people. The Maasai sandals you purchased were handmade, and looked to be top quality. Unlike the Nike, Addidas, etc, you’d purchase in India (counterfeit). Thank you once again for showing us “real life” in Kenya. Great content! 🏆🏆🏆🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯
My worst experience bargaining was in a market in Malaysia, in that video you can see I really didn’t know how to behave. There have been situations a bit weird in multiple countries, but I don’t have a specific answer to your question. I’m glad I was able to tip and buy little snacks for a few people
I will bring you in Gambia if you will like it. Sono anche Italian mi piace il lavoro tuo 😆😆😆 io dementicato Italian adeso, I was in 2010 long time ago
If you want to lose weight ask your doctor for Ozempic i went from 205 to 163 in like 2 months an still losing you can lose more it makes you not hungry an if you do eat you want eat much
Why would you send a mzungu out to the market unless you"re inviting trouble to be overpriced from the locals? But Ponte seems to be on point with haggling and bargaining stuff. Kudos Ponte.
I see the guy with the stripe shirt was not nice to you, but he came to get something to eat, how funny? It is So important to be nice to others. Hope you got the Maasai slippers.
