- In anticipation of the second season of Sweet Home releasing very soon on Netflix, we decided to catch up and watch season one and it does not disappoint! Sweet Home stars Song Kang (Love Alarm, Navillera, Nevertheless, Forecasting Love and Weather), Lee Jin-wook (The Three Musketeers, The Time We Were Not in Love, Nine: Nine Time Travels), Lee Si-young (The Birth of the Rich, SF8) and Lee Do-hyun (The Glory, 18 Again, Youth of May).

Lee Do Hyun is the guy in the glasses who is also the same actor that plays the doctor in The Glory.
Yup! Clocked him right away. He’s very different in this show. He’s such a great actor!

Checked the cast for Season 2 as soon as I identified him, instant regret...
Its so crazy to see song kang go from this to literally being one of the most wanted guys in the industry and doing 21+ dramas 😭 not complaining tho

You wouldn't know it from this series, but the actor Song Kang is now a MAJOR heart throb these days. Romance series afer romance series. His new series 'My Demon' just dropped.
This was the first show I saw him in and fell in love with him here 😂
Can't believe I'm watching both series and didn't notice it was the same guy. Gosh I really am bad with faces.
He suits dramas like sweet home more than romance imo

I also loved him in Navillera, which is a completely different role
He has such a wide variety with his skills like I can't believe ppl say he's a bad actor just cause they don't like the previous dramas he's been in
oh my, his first Korean series and you guys having him watching Sweet Home? his standard for Korean series/movies will be so high 😂
what a perfect timing to catch up before season 2 releases
such an underrated piece of gem
even though special effects look a bit tacky and choppy (although a deliberate direction by the sfx team)
the entire concept is so unique amongst the plethora of generic kdramas, i love it so much
i have higher hopes for s2 since they most likely got better funding, the effects look much improved as well
Now i realized…..The dog holding lady is the hairdresser from “the moving” who gave bad ass fight against frank.
So glad you guys are doing Sweet Home.

The 3-year gap between seasons was because one of the actors had to enlist for mandatory military service 😊 they had to wait for him before they could shoot. I'm glad you're finally watching this, Achara! And looking forward to Andrew's first exposure to the world of Korean entertainment 😄 this is a great show to start with haha
Also, Achara, I think the K-drama Happiness has also been recommended before - the setting for that one is actually in the era of COVID-19, so it's a good watch! Hope you can check it out sometime

This show released exactly during the Covid outbreak which ironically address the quaratine situation in a very dramatic way back then when I first watch it.

introduced me to Song Kang. Speaking of which, try a show of his that I really liked: Navillera ❤
I enjoyed Navillera much more than I thought I would. Such a touching show with great performances.
I think it would be perfect to watch season 2 right after finishing this series.
Sweet home is so amazing, and so underrated it's criminal. So much better than the famous All of us are dead. Happy that you are doing it!

One of the best series on Netflix. With an insane cast. And the main character is so PEAK
I am still absolutely obsessed with this show, teh cats is incredible and so is the story, also who doesn’t love Song Kang fr, I’m so glad his career really took off with this show
We would also like to see Achara react to some heartwarming beautiful kdrama. "TWINKLING WATERMELON"✨️🍉. It is about a CODA (Child of deaf adults) who gets to TIME-TRAVEL and be a part of his parents youth and dreams. Best kdrama of 2023 🫶
The show is a perfect blend of happy, heartwarming, funny, sad, family, romance and time-travel factor.

yeeeees! I"m so hyped for season 2! I've already seen the first season like 3 times. This show is like handcrafted to suit my tastes. Creepy/monsters/emotional....Korean lol. It's my jam
I just binged this series literally yesterday because I had a gut feeling you would be covering this drama 😂 The monsters remind me more of “Silent Hill” than “The Last of Us”.
I see that you're recognizing some actors from other shows. Besides the Glory's handsome young doctor and the Witch: Subversion's teenage best girl friend, the woman who lost her baby is the feminist lawyer from the sex discrimination case episode of Attorney Woo, and there's at least one more coming up in later episodes from a kdrama you most recently finished reacting to (they were one of the leads but play a secondary character here).

Yes! This was a great show! It was way better than All of Us Are Dead.
I think both of them have their advantages and flaws, not to mention there's different age groups involved and concepts are different as well.

i'll be honest... this series is the first time for me like whenever i start a kdrama (since 2021 btw) i never stopped it in middle unless it's a really bad one or i got exams but after watching first episode it took me 2 months to go to episode 2 lol... like it's my first time feeling so thrilled and also disturbed for some reason 😂... anyone felt like that while watching sweet home or is it only me? lol

What a surprise. XD just in time for season 2. If im not mistaken huisoo from moving and dr plastic surgeon from the glory are both here. XD now that i think of it this drama does have an awesome cast. Its like watching younger versions of 2023 kdrama lead actors. XD

That short older man is the working character actor Woo Hyun whose been in 45 TVseries over the past dozen years, sometimes 6 series per year. I count 17 series I've seen him in, including the worst series I've ever seen and the best.

i also started it watching two days ago i am on episode 3 ...lets have good time lol.....but i do recommend " Decendents of the sun " the story line , the emotions , the songs {OSTs}the ending everything is more than perfect . the real kdrama vibes plz do include i watchist the actors were given best actor , best supporting actor , best couple awards and still most loved drama

Sweet Home is based on webtoon of same name by Kim Carnby. His other works like Bastard and PIGPEN are amazing and jusst top notch horror
This drama is based on South Korean horror webtoon(comics). I recommend you to watch it at least once. It is probably more fun than the drama.

I just finished the first episode and I'm glad I can finally see a reaction to this now.
I thought the girl on the roof was a possible love interest. After she started talking I knew she was nothing but trouble so I was like forget her there's a better woman for you to find to give a reason to live. The bass player could've handled that lady with the stroller situation better. I would've just played along to not make her feel awkward.
That guy in the white shirt (who I guess was the building manager) was so annoying. I get that the gangster guy is just what you would expect, but the manager guy was just a wimp that acts and talks like he's running things and should just sit down, shut up and let other people get things done. He only cares about most likely himself and the building, maybe his wife too. I wouldn't be putting up with that guy for long before I have to check his BS.
I don't know what that thing was that got in the building, but I wouldn't have been standing there looking at it. My Black backside would've left immediately because brother man don't play that. I'm going to find a weapon and a safe place to hide out. No way I'm waiting for something to kill me.

I really want to know what was the cause of the infection. I think the fish in the box is a mislead because what about the ones outside, did they get messed up fish too. I'm thinking the security guard might have get it before being inside, then gave it to the woman with the cat. She then gave it to the main character when he passed out in her blood that was on the floor in the hallway.
I think the firefighter lady got infect on her back when she tried to run back inside. I thought it got her on the leg, but there was blood on her back where that tongue thing lashed at her. I think she is the one in the vent wearing only her underwear from the teaser trailer. She had that weird lower back thing going on when her back was turned to the camera.
I'm wondering if that big muscled up thing from the trailer was what turned over the truck outside and then yelled "PROTEIN".
