    In my experience, using Crisco etc prevents freezing...it's the butter that allows the transfer to freeze completely.

    @appleliciousify125 Yes … You can either use a transparency to-do this or your printer may have a mirror option in its settings.

  • @Cookiescupcakesandcardio
    @Cookiescupcakesandcardio  12 лет назад

    @gelflingfaysuzanne i haven't tried to do an outline alone....my thought would be that it would be fairly unstable, but if you put enough layers of the outline, and froze it completely, it might work! let me know how it goes.

    If you don't have a transparency paper, just use a piece of wax paper, but make sure you flip the image on your computer before you print it out. If you want to look for transparency paper, check out any office supply store for them.

  • @Cookiescupcakesandcardio

    I used to use transparencies because I didn't know how to flip the image on the computer...but if you know how to do that, then you don't need a transparency...just a flipped image on a regular piece of paper.

    @Midsummernightseats.....as far as I know, yes, you can use candy melts in the same way. I haven't tried it...yet...but from all the readings I've done on various blogs, you can! Good luck...let me know how it turns out...I'm curious now.

    @Kezzluvsthewantedx the buttercream recipe i use is a butter, milk, icing sugar and vanilla one...pretty typical. i have not left any FBT in the freezer for longer than an hour, as most of the cakes that i have done this way are due the same day, or the next.

    @rockacookamanga Yes, I have done this in the summer, and yes humidity and heat will affect buttercream. The fact that you are freezing each layer definitely helps in this situation.

    The little smile on the Ax7 skull was adorable and funny. Since this isn't a cartoon character, you've got to a find way to get those details that you see on the image. The skull isn't mostly white, now is it? The boy/girl receiving this is going to find it cringey and lame, I can assure you this (as a 24 year old who loved this band 10 years ago).
    Thanks for the transfer tips!

    • @mizzerychick1730
      @mizzerychick1730 8 лет назад

      +Amy Borne No, that would never say up unless you have something underneath like a panel of completely dry gumpaste, and even then you wouldn't be able to do a thick layer like the one she does there. It depends on how hot and humid it is where you live before it will start to melt, also.
