    Hi! Can we use swiss meringue buttercream for buttercream transfers? I really prefer this type of buttercream frosting because it's not too sweet. 😊

    If i use icing that is made with shortening will this still work the same ? I dont like full butter buttercream and i grew up on icing made from shortening so that is what i would need to use

    • @kirstenclark5960
      @kirstenclark5960 9 лет назад +3

      it will not work, it won't solidify with a shortening based icing

    I noticed the black running around the eyes. Can that be prevented?

    • @tlicious121
      @tlicious121 6 лет назад +3

      You can freeze the black outlines before you fill them in. I think that will help with the bleeding into other colors, but with this transfer, there was limited black (ie, the whole thing wasn't outlined in black) so maybe that's why she did it all at once.

    Im not real technical so I would appreciate one decorator who starts at the beginning showing us how to blow up the image. I'm lost at that so i cant even get started.

    When it thaws is it going to mess up the cake? Or make the cake soggy or wet?

    • @SweetWiseInc

      No; it will stay in place. It will be the same consistency as buttercream as if you had piped it on the cake.

  • @forevergogo

    Save yourself the trouble, take the photo down to your local bakery and have them print it out on a sugar sheet. So Much Easier. Much More Precise. You can always embellish the sugar sheet with frosting on top, for simple things just outlining them, framing the picture, can really make them pop visually. Or go with the theme, say if its Frozen, throw in some white swirly lines and snowflakes, and sprinkle on some glitter or sugar crystals, some white and blue rock candy would be cool too.

    • @forevergogo
      @forevergogo Год назад +2

      If they're stingy about 'copyright protection' near you, you can either argue fair use law at them or order a premade image off amazon (doubt those sellers are paying disney or nintendo or whoever their 'fair share'!) Or just try another bakery.

    • @Cakebaker07

      Buttercream should not run. It's a thick creamy texture. Kind of like peanut butter. (Baker for 10 years).

    Can you use Swiss buttercream? Or Italian?

    • @SweetWiseInc
      @SweetWiseInc  9 лет назад

      I personally haven't, but I don't see why you couldn't. One word of caution: The coloring, especially when you freeze, can separate a bit. I would mix your color with a little bit of lecithin first so it grabs the fat and emulsifies, then mix it in your buttercream.
