- My thanks to Barry for organising my day here at Chainbridge Fishery on the River Usk. Nursing a hangover, Scott and I venture into a high and fast flowing river. We first fished the left bank near to the old hut which surprisingly open and available for use. After a short stint below the bridge next to the River monitoring station we pushed over to the Right Bank and parked at the Caravan site (for a modest donation to a charity box). We fished Upper Rocks and on down the river until it became to deep. - Enjoy!
Hi, my name is Chris and my channel is called Cornish Chris the Fish. I am a Cornishman venturing out beyond the Duchy (of Cornwall) to experience life on the road full time touring in my Caravan Dalleth Arta, fly fishing for Salmon and vlogging my adventures. I am charting my salmon fly fishing adventures and will profile each fishery that I attend. I may even catch a few fish 😀. All views are my own good or bad.

Thanks for these vlogs Chris. I fish the Usk for trout, usually when the water level is a bit lower, so it's very interesting to see the beats that I know at the present levels and those that I don't.
Glad you enjoyed it
Enjoyed the film mate😊
thanks guys!
Brilliant video again Chris. Looked very fishy was hoping you would get a pull with every cast.
You and me both!
I'm a big fan of Brewdog, and would recomend their Triple Hazy IPA. It's up there with Of Foam and Fury from Galway brewery for my money.
That's a very fishy looking river. Even if you don't hook up, what a place to spend the day.
That's the strong on? Thanks Chris I will try it 😀 👍
I much enjoy your ramblings- wish I'd time (and funds !) to do as much; don't know the Usk at all but it would be handy to know the water height on your video/s; looks pretty full to me- thanks anyway-Tom
Great suggestion!
Is that a system 2 reel Chris. How do you like it? Great videos btw!
Thanks its by Scientific Anglers, it is a great reel, works really well, better than my airflo reels
You seemed to be not letting the fly fish all the way down /onto the dangle maybe the video is deceptive but in my book you are only fishing 60% of the water when you were double Spey casting you could see your line at 30 degrees to the bank when you made the d
Thanks for the advice
@@CornishChrisTheFish hi Chris sorry not meant as advice as I’m in no position to give it just an observation and maybe a wrong one
@@Marco-mg9tv Hi Marco, it's not wrong but directly out in front of my was a large submerged croy (not visible from the cameras view) which when I sent a cast at 90 degrees would mean I snagged it, I had already done it twice. Also, behind me was a high bank with trees so that angle was the only way to get a line out. I appreciate your support - Chris
