@@closetsimracer OTT. Once I had it looking for the correct .exe at launch it was fine. Silly me thinking the rf264.exe was the right one 😩 . Then it was just tweaking the settings. And disabling the OVR menu in steam vr. I’m loving the radicals around lime rock park.
75% revs. When the race starts, dump the clutch and max the revs. Near perfect start every time, regardless of the car. The only problem usually, is avoiding the person in front of you.
On rFactor2 I have a Steam VR Monitor thing visible. I currently have about 3.1ms frame time on a 3090 + Ryzen 5900. Awesome. But in online races I seem to get occasional dropped frames. Sometimes a lot. Still driveable, but distracting. If I figure it out I'll update...
Normally online it's better in most cases. When running single player + AI the CPU has to calculate the other cars but online that's not the case. Is your frame time lone session or with AI? Thanks for watching
@@closetsimracerok it's more like 3.5ms GPU and 5.5ms CPU. But anyway, since switching to OpenXR using OpenComposite, the problem has gone away. Of course, online rookie races have just moved to a different track and different cars, so it could also be that...
Nice tips in this one too. I'd love to see the topic about FFB in rF2 and how to get the most and best out of it. TBH i struggle setting it to feel right on CSL DD 8nm. I tried recommended settings from the fanatec forum but i dont like it. Curbs, bumps and brake locks are too violent but weight transfer, oversteer, understeer and general resistance of the wheel is too light. Maybe you know how to bring it in balance? Thanks for helping people.
Not sure how well my CSL elite apS4 with translate to a DD, but here are my settings as set on fanatec SENSIT - AUTO FF STR - 90 DRIFT MO. - -3 FE INTENS - 60 FOR. EFF - 100 (CAN REDUCE IF TOO MUCH) SPR EFF - 50 DPR EFF - OFF MPS MODE - AUTO I generally set per car FFB to around 75/80 as a start and run x2 smoothing. Min effects 0 Ffb total strength 100 Also set 100 in fanatec software. Hope it helps
do you ever play with fov multiplier in oculus tray tool? Run mine at .85 and .35 - is like helmet cam - you can push other settings loads higher because is only rendering about a third of the screen
Finally, it doesn’t look like Vaseline has been smeared over the lenses. Mucho appreciatio. 🙇
glad I could help, what made the most difference?

knew we would get you there eventually, I honestly think RF2 looks better in VR than IR does. @@seebarry4068

That is an interesting thought, my CV1 have a narrow FOV anyway so I've never really played with it but I might do. For ACC it will help loads
Hey I like that camera option in ams2. I’ll have a looksee.
.25 vertical fov multiplier just lets you see top and bottom of helmet
