    My setup is pretty close... 5600x and a 3070 TI.
    To get the trees to stop shimmering, turning AA all the way down to 0 (in fact disabled it in the .ini file) and then turning DLSS up to quality smoothed things out. I also added some lighting tweaks to the .ini and it made the colors less blown out (the road looked straight white on the bright, white gravel roads). It makes it playable, but definitely still not great. Switching back to Dirt Rally 2.0 was like night and day.
    I know it's Beta though, so I too am hopeful they can improve the optimization!

      Must admit I didn't try DLSS maybe worth a go. Also what lighting tweeks did you mate?
      It's only mainly the graphics that are really holding it back the rest we could live with.
      Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

      @@closetsimracer Instrucytions:
      Type %LOCALAPPDATA% into your windows explorer, find WRC\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini
      Add this to the end of the "engine.ini" file (Back it up first just in case):
      [SystemSettings]
      r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0
      r.EyeAdaptation.LensAttenuation=0.44
      r.Color.Mid=0.53
      r.TonemapperGamma=2.13
      grass.CullDistanceScale=3.0
      groundCover.CullDistanceScale=3.0
      groundCover.CullMaxDistance=20000.0
      It definitely helped a ton on my end!
      With the AA off, it kind of needs the DLSS, but it works much better if a tad blurry. I've noticed it seems to partly be looking through the windshield that screws up the colors, which is interesting - Also makes me feel like it shouldn't be the hardest fix ever. At least hopefully! lol! Hope that helps!

      I will give that a go. I will report back and hopefully makes it a bit more playable for now. Thanks again and thanks for watching

    Everything on Low is probably the reason, why it isn’t a available for PSVR2

      I've been testing this recently and I have made some decent progress with settings stay tuned for a new video soon. Thanks for watching

    This game is pathet. Horrible ui with cluttered sub menus, go back and check out dirt rally. The advanced graphic settings are super useless for in terms of information about what is a setting doing. Trees - sets the quality of the trees. Really? And for all other settings no proper information. Post process volume?b if you are not working with unreal you have no clue what is. You can look at up in the documentation of Unreal Engine. And we are VR.... OMG, next Gen graphics in 2024; looks worse than RBR 🎉👋👋 well done EA, WRC, Codemasters

    Anisotropic 16x
    You realistically need a 3080ti and above with a decent i9 9900k and above before you can hit medium high and epics and before it starts to look ok. I sim race at 72hz and this frees up a truck ton of graphical goodies to use.

      Thanks for watching, we have found a trick DLSS makes it loads better, I have it set to quality I don't get any stutters and it's slight blur, it helped increasing my supersampling to 1.5 through oculus tray tool. Keep your eyes peeled new video soon.

      @@closetsimracer upscaler must be turned off otherwise you introduce all the smudging and blurring. On your rig I’d drop to 72hz. I’m on a 3080ti with i9 9900k oc to 4.2ghz and I run all my sim racing games at 72hz. I have zero sensitivity to motion sickness abd I honestly can’t tell the difference between 72 and 90. I promise if you turn off upscaler and drop to 72hz you will be a lot happier!

    • @closetsimracer

      Unfortunately, I don't have the option to run 72hz, I use original oculus CV1. Tried upscaler off but it works so much better with DLSS on. Setting to quality helps with blur and its playable.

      @@closetsimracer its definitely time to retire that CV1 buddy. I sold mine off just before Oculus reversed the terrible link your Facebook account to your oculus account rule nonsense. It was a great headset and was hard for me to sell her, but it was time to move on.

      @jamesleegte5753 I don't disagree it needs to be replaced, how can I say this, I'm being overruled by the boss, if you know what I mean. One day it will happen

    For a beta it’s okish. I’m much more hopeful that vr is finally here and can only hope it gets better in time.

      It's not at the level it should be, it's just about playable but far from perfect. I really hope it cam one day meet its promise land.

    Well so far with my WRC game and watching setup videos to change/get the best performance, it seems to work adequate for me. I did one time trial with my Quest 3 and graphics detail is not too bad, and no jerkiness in the game. I need to install a FPS monitor to see how these type of games do on my PC system.
    Doing the actual time trial and being inside the car in the drivers seat in VR looks adequate so far.
    One thing I did notice so far is there is no car engine sound while doing the replays. All I hear the tires and I think the wind of the car. There might be a few other little things, but those are the main items I heard.
    Game hasn't crashed for me so far. Just now getting into trying different things in the game. Many people are very fussy about this game, I am not a Rally game fanatic and I don't care how real it is or is not. It is just entertainment for me and to drive/see the scenic routes that are in the game.
    Thanks for the video and take care.

      Don't get me wrong I will drive the hell out of this but visually there is plenty of room to improve. It is only a beta so I have hope, it drives great and that is what I'll keep coming back for

    • @dathyr1
      @dathyr1 4 месяца назад

      @@closetsimracer I agree and thanks for the information. My comment about being fussy was not aimed at you, it was just a general statement in that I do other SIM racing games and Rally racing is not my expertise. I would not know how a Rally car is supposed to drive, and as long as I can get through the Stages without crashing the car, I am a happy camper. I love to drive the twisty winding Stages the game provides and the turn voice is a big help in doing them. I have my game set to HIGH graphics settings and FULLSCREEN with the resolution set to a high number, I forget the numbers. My graphics looks somewhat better than in the video. Take care.
